Heck, I will take the French if you still wanna get rid of them. I would love to take some of that talent of yours as well!! Great army, man. You have a gift for the adorably macabre
I'm in the states. I love this game. But I feel like there is a much more organized front of players in the UK and Europe. I post my stuff to IG and to various Discords. And I have been building and painting regiments to the point of being able to have two people play. So that I can teach one person playing against me or teach two people playong against each other. But so far there's not been much interest in it here, other than people looking at the weird stuff I make and thinking it's cool. I'd love to see some bigger events here. Especially if I could afford to go to them. Thank you for sharing your experiences with and creations for the game.
Sorry to hear there aren't more players in the states! Given how much the European contingent is growing, I wouldn't be surprised if we start seeing some international Turnip events in the next year or so. We had someone travel from Germany for this event.
I think it really comes down to geography here. The players exist. They just have a lot of open land between them. I live in the middle of nowhere. So definitely nothing happening here unless I make it happen.
Turnip is a bit of a fringe game, but I've found out myself that just making stuff that people think looks cool is generally a great start. I've been able to tempt a few people at my local entirely through just that. Keep at it! If you *really* want people to get into it, I'd highly suggest running what I call a "Toff Off". A small kitbashing event where you get people together to build just a single Toff. Gather a load of old sprues, get people to roll on the gratuitous violence table, have them build a single model, and then have them fight. One of the players at TurnipCon this year started their army at a Toff Off I ran, so it works! Best of luck growing the community around you!
What a fantastic look into a convention....weird I now feel compelled to rewatch over the garden wall while consuming mass amounts of root vegetables now hehehehehe
Completely unfettered creativity- this is so inspiring! Thank you for sharing your army and experience with us, I have so much respect for all of the creators who are bringing this world to life. Fantastic, in the truest sense of the word.
Great video as always. Your minis, as well as those you filmed, are mind blowingly great. Also, really nice camera work. I hope to bring my Bog Marchers and me out there sometime. Maybe next year’s Turnipcon.
That looks so fun! I really want to make it to the UK sometime to do events like this. I love your Red Cap Rotters, they are creepy yet I find them cute!
What a wonderful video! TurnipCon looks amazing. So many fantastic creations and people, thanks for sharing it all with us. Your videos in this series have been some of my favourites. Looking forward to what's next.
It's remarkable how cozy the army showcase is given how grotesque some of the models are. I'm starting to see what Max means by "grim snug," though looking at some of those armies makes me want to get weirder with mine
Thanks for the fun video. I'm not the owner of a Turnip army YET!, But I seem to have a few small sprues of 6 british and french per sprue I got of wargames mags and didn't know what to do with them till a friend said T28 so now I'm going through boxes seeing what I have and what I can make as I've now been volunteered to make 2 small armies. If all goes well maybe I'll go to Nottingham turnipcon as I'm only 12-20 miles away from there. Have fun and wish me look guys ;-)
@@ConjuredCraft I'm hoping to make 1 toffs 1 toads and 2 units 6+ in each out of british and the same for french miniatures is there any advice you could give?
I found that a theme is very helpful to work quickly and have good visuals but with turnip28 you can make almost anything really and the community is going to love it
Silly question, but how did you get those skulls to sit on the minis at around the 6:50 mark? Just a bit of green stuff? I'm currently attempting something similar and would love to advice if you have a moment to give it.
Go tell Max to finish Swill, I have some ideas 👀
👀 This is exciting. I can’t wait to see what you come up with for Swill.

Praise be to the Eldenrangoon!

The complex towards France is still strong despite the years haha😅

Gosh I want to be there. This army is so sick. Loved this series.

What an amazing army, so creative. Excellent work!
Hey thanks so much!
As a French person the fact that nobody wants the French made me laughed😂😂😂
As a Knight, I appreciate your sense of humour
