I havea Seat Leon, but the alternator is the same fitting...I was giving up as was so frustrating and difficult to get out ...then found your video which not only confirmed only 2 bolts but also that the alternator needs 'persuading' to come out! Your happy singing/humming/whistling made me smile and I went back out to the car and got nasty with it...alternator now out 😁 Thank you 😊

if you want safe time and money check first the part of alternator called : regulator with brushes . If brushes are gone alternator won`t charge the battery .
i have a problem with practicly the same car but its just the Saudi varient that my idle speed gets up high and when for example I start the car I hear a sound but if I turn on the back window warmer it doesn't sound anymore anyone got any solutions cuz the egr looks fine to me and the air sensor is ok the ecu doest show any faults

THERE A TEST WITH multimeter for diode pack , showing a value between 585-800 , above the max , start getting wrong ,,, usssualy they work up to 190 000 , but the recomemended to replace on 100.00 miles

28 minutes! It took me that long to find my socket set. Glad I watched this, i would never worked out about the tensioner.

Was ist das Problem nach dem Wechsel des Generators und Autos haben den Test nicht bestanden
Ich verstehe die genaue Frage nicht. Wenn der Generator jedoch defekt ist, wird die Batterie nicht aufgeladen und das Auto läuft nicht mehr.

i changed with valeo, cause it is cheaper
do you have changer any cables or the battery to have 14V or more ?
i not measured it, but on alternator written 14V
but you should have more than 14.2 V in the battery
