  • Psychologists and modern professionals of the modern world talk about this new(ish) term called "Hurry Sickness." What is it? Hurry Sickness can be defined as, "A discomfort or illness in which a person feels chronically short of time, and so tends to perform every task faster and to get flustered when encountering any kind of delay." -From John Mark Comer's book: The Ruthless Elimination of Hurry. Dan and Shane continue this series as they talk through some symptoms we all might experience from this overt need to 'hurry.'
Don't forget to continue the conversation at home, in the car, at work, or anywhere you can find someone to talk to! Thanks for walking with us!

It’s another one of the things I remind myself throughout the day. Slow down and decide what I should be mindful of in each task. It only took 50 years but I drive exactly the speed limit + or - 10%, get out of drivers way and come to full stop. Main reason, I get there in same time and zero stress. Again it took 50 years to figure it out.
Quick Serenity Prayer- “God grant my the Serenity to accept the things I can not change, the Courage to change the things I can and the Wisdom to know the difference.”
Lastly people pleasing is a huge waste of Serenity but I don’t go out of my way to offend. I’ll show deference. Being nice to people increases my Serenity. Smile at the checkout clerk.

`Rushing` is good.... in small doses. The `sickness' is the warning that we are `rushing` too much.
