Being Scottish myself, the song just hits me on another level
Being Scottish yourself, you might want to watch this:

(Iron Maiden - The Clansman Rock In Rio REACTION by Detrucci)
"Detrucci" is Scottish, too. ;-)
Best song ever
saw them play this live, a week ago.
A concert is a concert, but Iron Maiden is an experience
Saw them last time 2018 in Stockholm and seen them 6 times (best one was 2005 ullevi, it's here on youtube check it out).
All of them are 60+, they will hold aslong as they feel happy and content doing what they do best.
It might in a few years be the best 65-70(years)+ band that ever was.
I said it before and I'll say it again Iron Maiden helped me appreciate history even more
Just saw them 2 weeks ago. Good god what a performance. I've seen them throughout the years....but I swear they are better than ever.
Fuck yeah! I saw them 2 weeks ago too! Exactly 2. I have seen them 4 times now but this was the first time since 1986 and it was amazzzzzing!
Just saw them for the first time near the end of August and it was honestly one of the best performances I've ever seen, and I saw rammstein live so that's saying something. And as a side note for them all being in their 60s they can still move like their in their prime, great energy and great crowd interaction
Me and my youngest son who is 24 years old are going to see him for the first time in Dallas next Saturday!
nice my brother i missed them this yr,in Cali.i first saw them back in 85' i was 15 and the tour was powerslave and the show was so good that me and my stoner buddies went back the next night and bought scalper tickets and watched it again.but I've got cancer and couldn't make it this yr.but my buddies went when they were at the pond in Anaheim California and they said nothing has changed they still sounded awesome.."UP THE IRONS"
Sex, drugs, and rock-n-roll? Hell no, we're getting history lessons!
I've seen Maiden several times. A Maiden show is akin to a religious experience. My first time seeing them, I was actually there to see one of the openers. I left picking up my jaw from the floor... that was 20 years ago... and now 50 plus shows later... the experience continues to amaze me.
I saw them 6 times this year, they’re one of the few bands that sound better live.
Love Iron Maiden but Bruce's voice is hit or miss
This song holds a lot of emotional meaning for me and is hands down one of my favourite Maiden songs if not my no 1 Maiden song.
My two sons and I saw them in Atlanta in June and they were Amazing. One of the best shows I’ve been to and I’m 51years old.
Love the clansman I'm from Liverpool England my great great grandfather was from Scotland and he from 1850s to 1879 was in 78th highlanders which would have made him a clansman
Awesome !❤
*IRON MAIDEN - THE RED AND THE BLACK*
This song leads the charge for sure
The greatest story tellers in all of Metal strike again! Also, they rule the time change landscape at over 60 years of age, still rock live like not other!
#UpTheIrons
As you know Maiden is and will always will be the heart of heavy metal 🤘
Anything Iron Maiden live you can't miss
best story tellers in music..
Their concerts are legit!
Iron maiden actually has 3 guitarists and a bass player
they sound like 300!
When Bruce started his dance, my knees was hurt too... 😂
It's absolutely ok to see Iron Maiden live (saw them 153 times in 30 Countries so far) ^^
Best one in my opinion from Rock in Rio is Fear of the dark
I saw them in Oakland last year and they played this song. It was amazing 💜
Iron Maiden Live is not just a concert.
Like Pink Floyd live, its an EXPERIENCE.
UP THE IRONS!!!
ESTA BANDA ES LA MAS GRANDIOSA DE TODOS LOS TIEMPOS!!!! NADA SE COMPARA A IRON MAIDEN! RECIEN A MIS 51 ANIOS , LA IRE A VER EN VIVO. SALUDOS DE UNA CHILENA, 🇨🇱.
Hard to believe they are in their 60's.
BillyYSC, the proper training is nothing but experience starting at a young age. It's a bit tougher to do as you get older, but if you just let yourself go with the music, you'll be headbanging along with the rest of us metal heads in no time.
Up the Irons!
Bar none, the best show you'll ever see live is Iron Maiden.
You have to watch the intro of that concert, "The Wicker Man". Kicks it off perfectly, and really shows off the scale of just how many freaking people were there. Hype as hell.
Everytime I hear Arthur's Farewell and then the Wickerman riff kicks in. Mega hype.
Live in the awesome state of Texas, but was born and raised in Scotland, UK. This song makes me VERY impassioned and pumped! Bought the DVD/Album set when it came out. over 256,000 officially at this show, estimated around 30-50,000 people extra who snuck in. To this day I listen to this show religiously.
So the reason why the one guy has “two guitars” is he is the bassist and at that point is playing an acoustic bass on a stand to give him a tone more in line with the other three electric guitars but then he can switch to an electric bass when the song really gets heavy
wow first one 😎👍 Iron Maiden is always a cool experience lol beware of head banging
BRUCE IS THE BADDDDASSSSS METAL FRONTMAN.
Iron Maiden. Belsonic, Belfast, 15th June, 2020. Bring it on. 🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽
Flying out to México City to watch them in concert on September 29th
Amazing live band... that’s what they do best.. . Go on stage and give their fans 125% - it’s what they’ve always been about. Maiden is a live band. Up the Irons!!
Great song and meaning.
Thank you for your service to our great nation!
Great react! Up the Irons!🤘
Brilliant man love your reactions 👍😀 and Billy wear supports for your knees😂😂😂 freedom 👋👋👋👋
Thank you X1 million
Brazil loves them some IRON MAIDEN......
Continue to enjoy iron maiden. You want to hear songs that talk about things. Every song of there's pretty much speaks a story ...thank God for Steve Harris the bassist is the heavy metal god of storytelling
AND of the bass guitar :-D
You da best Billy..outstanding review as always..love ya lad..stay frosty and remember that 90 lb rucksack never meant ya no harm..ooorrrahhhhh!
Dream of mirror, same concert lml
Great reaction! Had me laughing
Sick reaction
Still find it funny that these are Englishmen singing about the Scottish fighting against the English.
He's got Scottish ancestry
Song was part written by Blaze Bayley who replaced Bruce Dickinson between 1992 and 1998; and who is Scottish.
Most English have Scottish ancestry and don’t like the English aristocracy and parliament
Oh, Maiden aren't biased that way. They don't take the side of the oppressor out of patriotic loyalty. They take the side of the truth.
Great song 🤟
The drummer and the scottish dance.
live is all
I almost got excited. I saw The Greatest and thought it was The Greatest Show on Earth by Nightwish... You know the song that was promised to the Nightwish Army over 4 months ago... We haven't forgotten.
Just paid 1080 bucks to go see them in Dallas in two weeks.
If you ever get a chance, they are a must see live band.
Listen to Sabaton, Attero Dominatus or Carolus rex, all their songs are based on true events and about war, they are awesome
please react Iron Maiden - HELL ON EARTH By Mendes, Flausino, Panta, Naspolini and Ronaldo Jr
its about Sir William Wallace, Braveheart (Mel Gibson Movie)
Blood brothers iron maiden live at rock in rio!
The live en vivo version is way better
@@fathanaqwiya7398 I love that one too! I'm Chilean actually, so I love it a little bit for that too 😅
Maiden sounds better live than they do in the studio.
Please react to sign of the cross and I saw them last month and they get better and better every time
Hi Billy please do Sign Of The Cross live at Rock In Rio
Hallowed be thy Name reaction, please!
Billy you need to watch the documentary flight 666 to understand this most amazing band.....Iron Maiden: Flight 666 is a concert documentary film featuring the British heavy metal band Iron Maiden. The film follows the band on the first leg of their Somewhere Back in Time World Tour between February and March 2008, during which they travelled on their own customised Boeing 757, Ed Force One, which used the call-sign "666"
When Blaze Bayley was with Maiden, he made this song his own. Bruce is great, but this is a Blaze song
I upped the irons in Buffalo.
The Studio version is sung by Blaze Bailey and is no where near as good as this live version. Bruce brings it to life.
I like a lot the Blaze versión too. Both are great
ianhannah111 Blaze dominates this song.
It's unfortunate: many ppl are turned off this song by the title.
It's about medieval Scotland, not Mississippi.
Yeah, exactly! I didn't even realise until I learned it from another reaction video that some people could mistake this for a KKK glorification song ... But then I am European as well.
@@erikthompson619 Adventures of TNT?
Hallowed be thy name live 1982. Fear of the dark live Rock in Rio. They are much better live 🤟
If you listen to a studio version make sure it's with Bruce on vocals and not blaze Bailey
Would love to see you react to MUDCRICKET by Boondock boys. You'll crack up.
Your knees? Almost 66. My knees have been crud for about 20 years. Dirt bikes. Never broke anything, but I did try hard s few times...lol
Plz react to Rime of the Ancient Mariner!!!
Ever heard In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida by Iron butterfly?
you should check it out
Please check out Dio's cover of Aerosmith Dream On, it's taken to another level by Dio. Freaking Amazing cover with Yngwie Malmsteen on guitar.
Another banger. I don’t think Iron Maiden wrote anything BUT bangers. Can you please react to Hail to the King by Avenged Sevenfold?
rime of the acient mariner
rock in rio
Please react to Within Temptation- Our Solemn Hour
Bro,if you have HALF the energy that Bruce Dickinson does at more than double your age, you're doing very fucking well indeed.
Now practice at the beginning with Black Sabbath. You will find a natural headbanging rhythm and then progress to the late 70's and 80's for The New Wave of British Heavy Metal (nwobhm),then eventually, you'll be ready to throw that canister around with the best of us to Iron Maiden.
I envy you your journey (I've already been on it and what a fucking ride it was too)
Hey Billy can you do Animals House of the Rising Sun!
BABYMETAL, Headbanger, Live
I love Maiden youn cant react to rime the ancient mariner flihg 666 live
Definitely the Flight 666 one. Everyone always says the Rock in Rio one is better but it's really not. Flight 666 is the superior live performance.
The reason your neck hurts from headbanging is, you overdo it. It happened to everyone.
What you do is bang on each beat. 1, 2,3,4. Try doing more significant bangs only on the beats with accent. Like 1 deep forward then slowly back during 2,3,4. Or 1 forward 2 back, 3 forward 4 back.🤘
Or you can imagine you have long hair and switch to circular motion. Trying to whip the hair on the first beat and let it fly around your head on 2,3,4. Or semicircular motion in front a whip the hair to left on 1 to right on 2 3 left 4 right.
In that way you can turn headbanging from workout to nice stretching.
Can you react to scorpions wind of chains
*change
Bruce banged his head when he sang he hurt his neck so he stopped
I would say no more lies
the studio version is NOTHING like the concert. get the live album of rock in rio for the best versions of many of their songs
If u can do see them live. You’re gonna leave the venue with your jaw dragging against the ground.
Imagine this music is being played at protest rally.
Headebanging Training - watch Babymetal's Headbangyaaa!
THE EVIL THAT MEN DO LIVE AT THE NEC
Maiden is better live than on studioalbums.. Imo..
Oh believe me they ask us for money to finance their leaving us. because they are so cute that way.
Bruce is like 60. What did they do to your knees. You don't look look older than thirty man
Personally I really don't care for live recordings, I find it difficult to actually hear the song.
With one exception, Fear of the Dark for rather obvious reasons.
Unfortunately, these big bands aren’t a participant audience type of show, unless you talk about jumping up and down in place. To much security !
Don't listen to the album version, they had a different singer back then and it this song is way more awesome with Bruce on vocals.
I play this song on the way to trump rallies. No more libs taking over the land of the free #trump2020
You do realise that Iron Maiden would most definitely side against Trump, right?
