PVP in this game is an interesting dynamic. the way the game is designed, there's very little incentive to gank low players. every new tier of loot moves you almost entirely out of the previous set of materials, with the big exception of iron. so once you cross that level 40ish threshold, you start looking juicier as a target. another factor is castle levels. needing really expensive keys to truly zero somebody who's well established disincentivizes doing so... but it's still possible. death has both a low penalty and a stiff penalty, depending on what you're carrying and the circumstances. that ever-increasing pvp death respawn timer disincentivizes throwing yourself at a siege over and over. and golems are expensive to make. you can steal someone's blood if you beat them, and that's an underrated aspect. walking around with high-percentage blood, or coming out of certain areas (running away from silverlight, for instance, hello silver), or being within certain level ranges, all combine to slowly ramp up your juiciness. but at the same time, you know everyone else is playing with the same set of rules. it's a cold war. everyone is very vampiric, very aristocratic and respectful out of necessity, but also seeking opportunistic predation. and if you REALLY piss someone off, it's entirely possible for them to make things a living hell for you until you basically have to leave the server. pvp naturally lends itself to a slow burn, to revenge stories, to narratives on par with EVE Online, I'd argue. but the vampire framing and the way the game constantly forces you into high-risk situations in exchange for more power, is really brilliant. something i really haven't seen much of in my time on pvp servers is people disguising themselves as lower level. you can just be frailed or run around with low-% blood and shitty gear, to make your silver and iron runs much much safer. maybe people realize that that would remove the reluctance people have to gank each other. it's a really unique culture among hardcore pvp games. normally i'd be quick to label "respect" and "honor" in pvp as scrubly. but in v rising, it feels different. you know there's always the threat of nuclear options waiting in the background. it feels wise to be more cautious.
So a 71 and 75 watched a 65 solo a 65 boss then tried to double team you and FAILED SO HARD lmaoooo I would be embarrassed if I were those chuckleheads
Personally I love everything about V Rising so PvP is a part but I don’t start fights often unless you look like you have something I want (like if you’re coming out of silverlight, lookin like a jewellery piñata)
I love the PVP in this game. I actually like to just ask. Yesterday evening I was on my server and I saw a player as I was coming home from a farm, and they were near my level and I was like, you know what, I wanna fight. I popped local chat, "hey fite me?" and they were like "try it". we fought, it was VERY close but I lost. you say GF, you let em take your loot, you move on. that's how it goes. keeps the salt low
Forgot to put a prison cell in my base and didn't want to have to escort it home. Probably could've sucked, but it's useless for PvP. edit; actually maybe I did have cells... idk lol
If someone has garlic that means they have cotton, and you need cotton for ghost yarn. He has resources you need this isnt griefing, just take his loot. Even better hes vulnerable because of the garlic stack, an easy kill: a cotton bag walking around. It would be a different story if you were already 80+ but at this stage you kinda need cotton for t3.5
to what u said, about it being wierd, that folks often arent fighting.. i think its kinda, like the game when played thro, is kinda done, and then u get bored quick. but thats why i like going to a "halfway" pvp server.. where u dont have as much risk losing it all, but can still greatly improve the fun and layers to the game, by being able to pvp when u want, and or take others stuff and loot their chests etc. (on pve u cant even loot others chests, there is no need for doors n wall really lol) and having pve and pvp is really a fun game consept. (like i play new World too) so its nice to have pvp optional, or to chase folks off when u farming etc,.. without having to pvp at every encounter. some of us cant nolife it or play so many hours a day, so we cant really play like u do, or other sweaty areana pvpers.. but imo. even the hardcore pvp players shud be happy that folks even join the pvp servers, so that there is a variety of players active there. there r hardcore pvp servers, with all sweaty pvp arena pros, for folks who want that.. its cool that heo we cud all find a server with rule set and settings we enjoy. but, i think its also cool when i can solo on a pvp server, without getting smacked and farmed on every encounter. or not being able to kill v bloods, cuz of attacks etc.. and the rifts are where everyone shud all out pvp imo. thats wut they for ;) keep up the gud vids
If I end up making the castle "raid ready" I would want my production on the 3rd floor. I also tend to make it start from the back (kind of not a good idea overall if I actually cared about perfect raid defense, but the stair placement helps) so I can get stairs surrounding the heart early and not have to replace them. If I were to finish the whole castle, would disconnect the 2nd floor staircase from the back and put it somewhere else, making the attackers run through a labyrinth to get to my loot/production floor. Right now though, no raids on this server until the weekend, so I don't need to worry about it as much. Also, if you put your castle in the sky, the ground stone ruins regrows, so you have a permanent supply of stone.
what you cant take two equally geared players on at that same time? what even is that? Great video and great pvp you did awesome against that guy that was 15+ lvls higher than you. I was also amazed that you were able to get away with the horse and your farm when those two showed up at cyril.
It's a tough call for me at the moment. I'm spending a bunch of time making videos at the moment in my free time, and streaming would cut into that. I may try my luck around PS5 launch though, since by then I should have a big backlog on vids to post... hopefully.
yeah I actually do think it's worth it. I sleep on servants this run, but mostly because I realized at one point that I was actually catching up to the people at the "head" of the pack and could potentially snag drac before anyone else on the server
Good to know, but I usually like to see it to check what I want. Do you know if it works in Brighthaven containers when they lag out and don't display contents? I'll need to check and use that if it does

the second I got into wolf and jumped the wall I was like "...guys..."
Yes thank you for this play through I will use it to finish my brutal solo run
Personally I love everything about V Rising so PvP is a part but I don’t start fights often unless you look like you have something I want (like if you’re coming out of silverlight, lookin like a jewellery piñata)
yeah that's a lot of the same boat as me. I'm not a "kill everything within vision range" kind of player lol

why not grab a 92 worker btw? I know it’s not close enough for the mutant Greece roll but it would be good until u find a better one?

You're so good paaawg!!
Pawg means something different lol
how come we don't see more people using spider instead of rat to hide?
Takes way longer

Why the air castle?
Think he mentioned in ep1 was to avoid ppl jumping in to steal his stuff

I tried my best haha, honestly, I should've had them.
Was satisfying fighting the 81 though
Are you playing the game on a daily basis? You should stream I need more content XD

So good
my youtube is ugly as hell now, did yours change too?
Yeah on a diff account it did. Looks absolutely terrible
Dude you don't _have_ to say "I would've gotten that easy if..." It's okay to get your ass handed to you once in a while 😄
you should rename your servant to Dingleberry, because why not.
Great name
Yezzirskyyy
I think rushing a servant that’s around 760 score is the way to go
yeah I actually do think it's worth it. I sleep on servants this run, but mostly because I realized at one point that I was actually catching up to the people at the "head" of the pack and could potentially snag drac before anyone else on the server
Especially a succubus netting you around 300 greater shards every 2hrs
Pls finnish your castle pls 😂😂
NEVER hahaha, since raids weren't until the weekend, I felt like I could just live out of my tree house
@@terribletimmy2 but no much tree under ur house 😂
@@lionggaekomalindo5491 rocks though!
its so fuckin hilarious that you have to beg for pvp these days
First
Love your videos, btw Q is the hot key to loot all. you can loot a container before you even see what is in it.
