This arc will forever be my favorite of TAZ: Balance. From the concept of a time loop, a-la Majora's Mask, to the western vibe, to Issak, one of the BEST minor characters of TAZ in general. I could talk about him for hours. He's the exact reason why Lucretia didn't want the relics out in the world, a man who otherwise wouldn't DREAM if harming his friend, driven to it by the Temporal Chalice, and IMMEDIATELY regretting it and punishing himself to forever watch over June as a final act to make up for killing Jack.
I saw fanart of roswell before i really understood what they were made of I honest to god though this robot thing was filled with beans. Just so many beans. Thick and viscous bean filling
I've been binge-listening to this show for the last month, and The Eleventh Hour was my favorite quest so far, and this part was definitely one of my favorite moments in it. You captured it perfectly
This was just good story telling. Arms outstretched was a growth of its chAracters. Magnus was forced to take concern in his mortality. Takko was forced to act selflessly. Merle was forced to act competently. It was a culmination of them growing with their characters. Also that moment involved them literally defying god
@@creditroll176 its from the suffering Game, its the portion where they're in wonderland and they're trying to retrieve the Animous bell. It's in the final standoff
the beautiful, accidentally metaphorical irony of taako finally having completely unfettered access to all the shit he can steal with no consequence, and instead he uses it to cast a spell to save his friends
First animatic? You freaking killed it, I love the designs and symbolism and overall dedication to one of my favorite scenes in this arc and in general. Super looking forward to anything you do in the future~
HOW does this amazing animatic, that's TEN FREAKING MINUTES long, not have more views than this?!?! It's *criminal!* Also god damn, Merle's Foxy Grandpa shirt fuckin' killed me. x'D
This scene is without a doubt one of the most powerful scenes outside of any of the ipre story. It has never failed to make me at least tear up when I hear taako utter junebug. Thank you very much for this video. It's almost exactly what I was picturing in my head as I heard it.
This is actually amazing! My day's about to get started, but I'd love to just tear this thing apart piece by piece and analyze it more fully! I love this stuff with Istus, guiding Taako, I love the imagery and symbolism with the Chalice, which by a stroke of genius, looks like an hourglass, Istus weaving that whole tale through her crocheting, and I LOVE everyone's designs! I've got no idea why even after a couple of weeks, this doesn't have more views! I'm just glad that fate kinda steered me here, as it were. This is beautiful by all accounts!
Thank you so much! I think the views might just be because it's my first, but it's still a staggering amount to me~! I hope you might enjoy my next animatic, though it won't be *quite* as long~!
Absolutely! I'm a sucker for animatics! Quality over quantity, just make content you like when you have the drive and love to do it! This length of an animatic would probably break me, so it's real impressive that this is your first one! Probably shouldn't be dismissive and say it'd break me, it's really inspiring that your first animatic is as beautiful as it is, and I'd love to do something like this when I've got time-- all in all, I'm looking forward to whatever's coming next!
By the way-- have you submitted this to any TAZ fan groups or sent it to the boys on Twitter or anything? If not, I'm sure everyone would be delighted!
It's been weeks since I reached this part of the adventure zone, but I am STILL not over this scene, especially the end. This is SUCH a good animatic, and I love that it's the full scene. The fact that this is your first animatic is insane, and THANK YOU for making it.
You made a GORGEOUS animatic and I loved every second of it! Thank you for all of your work and sharing it- the Junebug moment is one of my favorites and you did it as much justice as possible.
Love the brothers McElroy from MBMBaM but recently started my first few forays into TAZ animatics...but the writing Griffin accomplished in this bit blew me away. Not just goofs and gaffes but actual drama, it caught me off guard with both its actual sense of urgency, dread, and then the poignant conclusion -- the only thing that can stop the monster is a guy's pet name for his daughter. Your animation and music choices really added a lot too! Now I'm going to start following TAZ in earnest.
Can we just talk about the transition between Junebug? From how playful and curious Taako looks when he says June to the dark and serious aura he gains as he says Bug. Like how it shows the amount of power he just gained from a single word. Just how the entire balance of this arc shifted just by one Nickname. I also noticed how apathetic Taako became after learning one of the last vital pieces of information that helped solve this loop. Like Taako stopped caring. He knew if he fucked this up he'd get another attempt in the next cycle. So what's the point. Ya know. It's something I don't think many people picked up on.
bruh... your animation wasn't bad, the adventure zone is a fantastic venue through which to animate stories. It's inclusive, emotional, and well written. The AD music at the end was FUCKING JARRING AS HELL. Took me right out of the feel of the video. otherwise thanks for sharing.
Old Magnus 100% has arms hanging on his walls in the same way people have stuffed animal heads.
This headcanon cured my depression
The chalice as an hourglass is a gorgeous take. Well done.
I mean, it is a time themed item
“HEY, TAAKO!
WHAT THE FUCK?”
I love Travis, ngl.

I need to draw Roswell as a can of beans golem now
Canned beans golem.
Thank you, this was the highlight of my day!
This is the greatest thing I have ever read.
I've been binge-listening to this show for the last month, and The Eleventh Hour was my favorite quest so far, and this part was definitely one of my favorite moments in it. You captured it perfectly
I loved this part too! I might do something from wonderland next or maybe petals to the metal, definitely taako's date YAS
Same ^^
The Eleventh Hour and Petals were my fav quests.
Mine was the suffering game
@@biggusdickus8041 the suffering game was great! That's when Lupe got introduced at the end, right?
The nosebleed was a nice touch
"Ruff boy" and "foxy grandpa" 😂😂 perfect. You absolutely nailed it
People talk about Arms Outstretched as their favorite moment, but this is still mine. Great work on bringing it all together!
This was just good story telling. Arms outstretched was a growth of its chAracters. Magnus was forced to take concern in his mortality. Takko was forced to act selflessly. AAAHH, TAAKO IS SO PRETTY
I tried uwu
Taako's makeup is on point
Always.
When I first listened to this through the podcast, I almost cried, seeing it through your amazing skills with this animatic, I did. GG
This comment made me cry happy tears! Thank you buddy~!
i fucking adore magnus' shirt, and his fucking arm fetish, god. You captured that moment so perfectly. This whole thing is a goddamn work of art
Nothing less for my Mango~!
Has anyone tallied the number of arms Magnus has removed?
(Fantabulous art, btw. Very pleasing to the eye)
Roswell's design is really awesome, I had trouble imagining Roswell when listening to this arc. Good work, and very epic
the beautiful, accidentally metaphorical irony of taako finally having completely unfettered access to all the shit he can steal with no consequence, and instead he uses it to cast a spell to save his friends
"Foxy Grandpa" is so funny and something I think Clint would definitely wear.

This moment is easily my favorite from the entire balance arc. i get chills every time i hear it
Taako stealing those gems is definitely not going to come back to bite him in the past....

That cup design is so simple and so genius!
10 min long!!! woaaah this is so good.
Thanks~! I'm gonna be working on an amnesty animatic soon, so look out for that if you're interested~! Not *quite* as long though~!
Omg is this animatic is so well made and extremely long for how polished it is! Amazing job!
