I'm not graduating and I've finished the podcast and almost cried. These characters and story was amazing and inspired me to go on and write my own D&D story. Thank you guys for animating this and thank you for the laughs, tears, and gasps.
DAMN! This hit me with the feels. I only started listening to Taz in 2020 so I don't have as much nostalgia as a lot of other fans but holy shit this animation was incredible!
I started in 2020 as well! But in a weird way I feel super intensely emotionally attached to it, because it was a lifeline while teaching and designing theatrical costumes remotely and panic learning procreate to do so. I was working on a show which is partially set in a DnD game, and I had just zero context for that. So TAZ was both escapist delight and a way to experience ttrpg while designing dnd stuff. And then… I just never stopped listening. But TAZ got me through 2020.
@@thebadpoet That's amazing! I feel the same way, Taz also got me through some tough times and it still is a big part of escapism when everything becomes a bit too much. Funnily enough I was also learning how to use procreate in 2020! probably not to the same capacity as you, but still it's a cool coincidence!
This is INSANELY well done, what the heck! I absolutely loved seeing so many different styles and interpretations, and yet be able to so very clearly see that they're all of the same characters. Absolutely amazing, I can't imagine the work and love that must have gone into creating something like this. Thank you so much to every person who worked on this!
OH SNAP I DIDN'T KNOW THIS DROPPED I've always loved going through playlists of peoples' parts in this and watching the snippets, it's all so beautifully animated and I enjoy seeing the different takes on the Boys and co. So so excited to see this completed! Thank you all for hosting and participating and bringing the fandom this thing of beauty. Edit: And THANK YOU for including subtitles! Edit 2: WOW. Just finished it and laughed the whole way through. Almost felt like experiencing the episode newly all over again, looking for details and seeing artist interpretations of the characters, jokes, and action. Loved the animations as I said, but also the sound editing and the references to other McElroy content was fantastic. Some of the parts were so unique and all of them were creative and fluid. As Griffin said, that was primo.
I actually love seeing everyone's different THB designs in this it's so fun to see all the different takes. I'm so happy to see this finished and out in the world!
That was so much fun, great work to the organizers, editors, and animators!! It’s so awesome to see this finally completed, it was a long time in the making and it turned out so cool lol. (I was the paper cutouts segment at 19:50, Taako casting Burning Hands :D )
this is truely incredible, and just watching this has taken me back to a simpler, happier time in my life. congrats to everyone for creating this!! i cant believe im finally watching this after all these years! thank you everyone from the bottom of my heart for creating this labour of love
There are so many "animatics" on UA-cam. It's so fun to see so many fully animated and polished clips of this amazing show in so many fun varieties! Well done to all of them!
This was an absolute masterclass in animation holy shit. They should show this in animation intro classes to demonstrate just how much different styles can affect a story. I am going to send this to absolutely everyone i know, whether or not they've watched the adventure zone holy SHIT
Okay the bit at when Merle says "I feel like I don't know you guys" and "I feel like we've grown apart" like obvi a joke at the time but it HURTS. It just hurts.
This is magnificent. I've just started listening through the masterpiece of story telling that is TAZ Balance again and just got to the first lunar interlude. Thank you for putting all of these amazing artists visions together. I was both disappointed and relieved that the part with the splooge tunnel was left out. 😅
I absolutely loved all of this, especially the designs for Magic Brian, everyone’s art of him was so silly and expressive and everyone made the episode feel just like it should, and it really brought me back to my first listen of TAZ
Oh my god, did they finally finish making the whole episode?? I thought this day would never come! It looks fantastic, and it was such a good gift to see on my birthday!
I love group animation projects so much, this is so wonderful! The only downside is getting attached to a particular artist's style and having to adjust to the next lol
I’m so excited!!! Every variation of animation, art style!!! It’s so great to see the diversity but also how it all comes together in a cohesive story. You always know who is who! Distinctive character traits across art styles
That was AMAZING!! Everyone is so creative and each part is so unique and stunning. It brings back memories, I don't even remember there was a giant robot in that episode! TAZ was my first dnd podcast and it's awesome to see a 34 minute map done of it, I am gonna spam all of my friends with it
Thank you to all the amazing people who have worked on these incredible animations! Seeing so many iterations of the same lovable characters transition so well is just phenomenal. I remember watching some of these already years ago and so many more I have never seen. I love this so much!
This is an absolute masterpiece. Kudos to all the incredible artist and animators. What a giant work they did. This really sent me back. Balance gave me so many laughs and feelings and it was amazing to experience it again!
This was awesome. I credit The Adventure Zone for getting me back into playing D&D so watching this really brought back some memories. And Magic Brian's death still makes me laugh until I cry.
Holy shit this takes me back. Completely in awe of everyone who worked on this, a true artistic and logistical feat. You all reminded me how much i loved this show and these characters.
I listened to Balance once through, and I'm realizinG how creative Travis was during combat, this is really cool. Also, props to all these amazing artists!!!
This was a joy to watch. I can't say how many times I laughed out loud at a creative design or animation choice or simply because I recognized the artist. Thank you so much to everyone who gave their time and effort to put this together.
the amount of work put into this is really impressive, some of these people are REALLY talented and the constant shifting actually fits really well with the chaotic style of the episode where it goes from in character to out of character to in character meta jokes. super smooth too!!! and the audio editing in places is pretty great if u did that (i haven't listened to taz in a while). i havent finished the video yet but i love what u did with the intro and (6 minutes in) one of the people who did the walking scene
I honestly had completely forgotten about this project but seeing this in my suggested videos just made my freakin day. This was such a phenomenal video and I was grinning the entire time. Congrats on this project, everyone did such a fantastic job.
I remember when this project was first getting started on tumblr! I’m so excited it’s here. Even though I don’t really listen to TAZ anymore I love these early episodes

This whole thing is incredible, but that scene with Magic Brian using Magic Missile was really something.

These designs are INSANE. Some of them are SO good. The Black Spider looked excellent in so many of these styles.
This compilation is some of the coolest shit ever. We should fund a full season.
This is so nostalgic, so many artists I followed that haven't posted TAZ anything in years. So many emotions
OH SNAP I DIDN'T KNOW THIS DROPPED
I've always loved going through playlists of peoples' parts in this and watching the snippets, it's all so beautifully animated and I enjoy seeing the different takes on the Boys and co.
(I was the paper cutouts segment at 19:50, Taako casting Burning Hands :D )
my timing is impeccable, I just binged Balance and finished a day ago, only to find this today. Every moment is pure gold
this is truely incredible, and just watching this has taken me back to a simpler, happier time in my life. congrats to everyone for creating this!! i cant believe im finally watching this after all these years! thank you everyone from the bottom of my heart for creating this labour of love
Love love love love the huge variation in art styles and artists, love seeing everyone's head cannons!
This is absolutely incredible. Magnificent.
I love the little halfway but with Davenport so much! Every animation here is amazing. Just wow!
That was absolutely amazing!! I couldn't take my eyes off it! Great job everyone!
Absolutely chaotic in the best way. Also thanks so much for adding captioning!!
Oh my god, did they finally finish making the whole episode?? I thought this day would never come! It looks fantastic, and it was such a good gift to see on my birthday!
Dude this is incredible I remember seeing bits and pieces of the animation for years!
TAZ was my first dnd podcast and it's awesome to see a 34 minute map done of it, I am gonna spam all of my friends with it
i love all of these art styles so much
Thank you to all the amazing people who have worked on these incredible animations!
Seeing so many iterations of the same lovable characters transition so well is just phenomenal.
I remember watching some of these already years ago and so many more I have never seen.
I love this so much!
This is so good with the mixing of the different art styles. I wish there was more of this!
This is an absolute masterpiece. Kudos to all the incredible artist and animators. What a giant work they did. This really sent me back. Balance gave me so many laughs and feelings and it was amazing to experience it again!
this is SO SO BRILLIANT OMG, the effort and all the different amazing styles, love it
This was awesome. I credit The Adventure Zone for getting me back into playing D&D so watching this really brought back some memories. And Magic Brian's death still makes me laugh until I cry.
16:48 is based off the comics!!! I love it so much!
Oh this is fantastic, good job to every artist who participated!!
AMAZING WORK EVERYEONE what an amount of love went into this!! Adventure zone will always be so dear to me and I’m so happy it is to so many others
whoa i remember hearing about this years ago when i was actively into Balance, insane that it’s finally out! what a feat y’all have pulled off!
Such an amazing project!! I remember animators posting their parts agesss ago and I'm so glad to be able to see the final product
This is the coolest video ever. This project must have taken a while. Also, very funny. Very glad I stumbled into this.
Holy shit this takes me back. Completely in awe of everyone who worked on this, a true artistic and logistical feat. You all reminded me how much i loved this show and these characters.
This turned out soo great! I remember seeing some of the rough animations wayyy back. SO cool that it's finished!
THIS WAS ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC! Thank you all so much!
I listened to Balance once through, and I'm realizinG how creative Travis was during combat, this is really cool. Also, props to all these amazing artists!!!
This was a joy to watch. I can't say how many times I laughed out loud at a creative design or animation choice or simply because I recognized the artist. Thank you so much to everyone who gave their time and effort to put this together.
i watched this a couple days ago and have now relistened to all of balance so. thank you. this rules, everyone!!
the amount of work put into this is really impressive, some of these people are REALLY talented and the constant shifting actually fits really well with the chaotic style of the episode where it goes from in character to out of character to in character meta jokes. super smooth too!!! and the audio editing in places is pretty great if u did that (i haven't listened to taz in a while). i havent finished the video yet but i love what u did with the intro and (6 minutes in) one of the people who did the walking scene
ooooho, I LOVE the Griffin at 10:06
he also looks _exactly_ like someone who would come up with Garfield the Deal Warlock
This turned out great!! Everyone did a great job, there was clearly alot of love put into this
THIS IS FANTASTIC
OH MY GOD I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR YEARS FOR THIS PROJECT THANK YOU
That magic missile animation at24:00 was fucking phenomenal.
I honestly had completely forgotten about this project but seeing this in my suggested videos just made my freakin day. This was such a phenomenal video and I was grinning the entire time. Congrats on this project, everyone did such a fantastic job.
This is an absolute masterpiece, thank you to everyone who made it possible!!
This is exactly what I needed!!! So amazing!! I wish for every episode animated!!!!
I checked the tumblr on a whim today after 2 or 3 years of not checking in and wow! Congratulations!!!!
I can't express how good this is, so much talent, I loved every second! Congratulations and thanks 💚
I remember when this project was first getting started on tumblr! I’m so excited it’s here. Even though I don’t really listen to TAZ anymore I love these early episodes
Aaaaaand now I have to relisten to Balance. Well done everyone involved, some of this animation was insanely smooth and well done!
It was really awesome to see this come together over the years.
Thank you to everyone who contributed!!
