Stirs up memories, speaking as someone who is from Canada. Delightful to see how comfortable and assertive he could be and the others knew it. And my home is very large county with a 10th of the Population. Dare say on the inside one could allow little bit of a chuckle don't quite no how to express that properly. RIP to both.🤠👍
Mr. Trudeau’s so-called “peace initiative” was inconsequential and unnoticed. The trifecta of Mrs. Thatcher, President Reagan and Pope John Paul II were game changers with respect to the decline of the Soviet Union.
Reagan yes, Trudeau no. Trudeau's bastard son Justin is ruining Canada. The reason why I said bastard son because Fidel Castro slept with then wife of Trudeau.
Back when our Prime Minister had executive presence, was able to speak with intellectual depth, articulation, and deliberation, and could carry a double breast suit. Back when the world used to take Canada seriously.

I think you need to go back and re-visit Trudeau's philosophy and political bent... he was a wanna be Castro.... His son, devoid of his dad's intelligence, relies on photo-opps instead to advance that same cancerous mentality. Both managed to run up debt that crushes a decade or more of future children... That combination of factors is by no means one prime minister's fault whether you like it or not. This was a very dangerous time in the Cold War. There was instability in the Soviet Union with change in leadership there and the build-up of nuclear weapons was rampant on both sides.
This meeting was perfunctory. Reagan administration officials had agreed beforehand to meet Trudeau for reasons of politeness and PR purposes but would ignore his peace initiative and apparently advised officials in Washington that the meeting was not really of any great concern.
Trudeau’s policy is totally different . When I came to Canada that’s his last year in power. I personally like Regan. . When Regan visited Sri Lanka His first question was How is Tamils
I am surprised that Trudeau appeared to be fidgety in front of Reagan. It shows that power disparity between the two countries and the projection of character of the US President.

I loved our Prime Minister. A thinking honourable man.

Justin Trudeau is good at putting up an image, but it's all a facade; he has no substance.

From what i remember, you rarely saw Pierre read from a prepared speech. Writers couldn't write as well as that guy could speak, in english or french!
