You do just what you’ve been doing Pamela and don’t give the haters a second thought. You are obviously doing something right I mean the speed and sheer amount that your channel has grown proves that. So you just keep it up. Love your channel and I really appreciate all the helpful information that I have found here as a new adult colorist.

I’m so very sorry that there are people in this world who go out of their way to say mean things, be jerks and post negative crap to you. It’s so unnecessary and while I try to feel sorry for these people because they’re obviously unhappy in their personal lives people who are HAPPY HUMAN BEINGS NEVER EVER try to make others feel bad about themselves or what they do. People who are happy try to bring others UP not down. Like I said, I try to feel sorry for them but it’s just so difficult to comprehend WHY they want to bring others down with them.
That being said, I’m an older lady (59) who discovered coloring, your UA-cam tutorials at the same time a few years ago and I’ve learned SO DANG MUCH from you and continue to learn from you. You’re the very first coloring artist I discovered, I remember the first video of yours (or anyone’s) involved coloring play pots in the Secret Garden book by Johanna Basford. Choosing color palettes for my pages has been something I struggle with the most but I’m getting better because of you. I discovered Johanna Basford coloring books and my beloved Prismaccolor pencils through you and guess what?! My darling daughter got me the 150 piece Prismacolors and almost have been my constant uplifting companions. EVERY SINGLE one of Johannas books! Right after she gifted me with all those wonderful things (when the pencils came I cried and played all those creamy, dreamy pencils) I was diagnosed with a double whammy of Stage 4 Metastatic breast cancer AND a large aneurysm in my brain which needed to be removed before it ruptured (just had that surgery last week at the U of MN Hospital) through all of that (chemotherapy, double mastectomy) more chemo and then this surgery I’m now recovering from, you have been by my side teaching me new tips, techniques and ideas.I thank you from the bottom of my heart for always being with me during this horribly difficult last year. Between you, my Prismas and Johanna Basford books, I have had lots of positivity and happiness to help me get through everything. Through 3 hours of my weekly chemotherapy sessions, that lasted a year and continue still, all of my surgeries, I have had you all (JB, you and your tutorials)without you all, I honestly don’t know if I could have made it through this hell my life has become. I just needed you to know your talents have helped me survive and enjoy life because I would have been lost in a downward spiral cancer depression and death and instead I wake up each day excited to get to work on the page currently coloring. This is no b.s. my family has noticed what a diff😢all of this has made for me.
To any off the jerks who say something unnecessary, mean or negative in any way, you can knock that crap off right frikking now. These videos and this woman has made a huge wonderful difference in my life and I won’t allow or tolerate any negativity after all the good that has come from this chamn l and past time🤬😈

Thank you for understanding how difficult color selection is for some of us. I am not a beginner but still very much an amateur at choosing color, I have improved in technique but color choice STILL baffles me at times. Your videos on this subject are very much appreciated by me and obviously by many others as well. Keep on doing what you are doing.

I love this! My issue is that I can always create nice gradients while swatching, but can be terrible at it while coloring on the page.

Hello Pamela!!! Thank you for this video!! It was ABSOLUTELY full of useful information for beginners like me and others!! I can't express how much your video's have aided in my adult coloring journey over the past couple of months! You are truly an amazing person and I really appreciate your knowledge and you actually having the courage to put together informative and very exciting videos for the youtube community to view!! A lot of people aren't as brave and I want to apologize on behalf of that negative Nancy that commented on your video! Shame on whoever it was! There are tons of us beginners that struggle to put color combinations together, myself included! I ABSOLUTELY LOVED the color combination with egg shell!! It was beautiful and as you stated makes the picture stand out and the colors just POP off the page! You're an EXCELLENT source of knowledge for the adult coloring community and again I sincerely appreciate all the time, work, effort, money and so on that you put in to bring us such wonderful information! I know you have probably told us this before but I thought I'd ask, where can I print off some of your color combination charts? I would honestly LOVE to print some off and keep a notebook of color combos!! Again, thank you, thank you, thank you! And to the negative Nancy, Pamela put it best.....MOVE ON!!!!

Thank you so much for all your kind words. I will keep bringing these videos to you and providing all this helpful information for beginner colorists. I love making these videos and I love putting together color combinations. I feel like it's one of the most important things to learn before you even lay pencils down on your coloring pages. That is why I make all these videos. I have a new color combination video that I am getting ready to edit so look for that in a couple days (Monday). All my charts are available in my Etsy store. I also have a huge workbook coming soon with Prismacolor color combinations. I don't have a lot of time but have been working on it in between filming, editing, and uploading videos and doing my coloring classes. Here is the link to my Etsy store where you will find all my charts that you see in my most recent videos as well as my Color Combination & Blending workbook that will allow you to practice everything I show you in this video at length. www.etsy.com/shop/PencilPassionDesigns

Very Nice Video!! I've been coloring for a couple years and found this very helpful! Sometimes especially when there are so many mediums to play with.. we just need reminders of things we have previously learned! Plus Everyone has different tips and techniques you just might find a New way of creating the effects! It's called having an OPEN Mind! Thanks For Sharing!

Hi Pamela, Thank you for another great video. I don't consider myself a "beginner" at all and I come to your videos for tips and tricks all the time. Combos are never ending and I love to see some that I may not have though of. I also like to see the combos done on a page. As for the haters.. I always wonder "why did you click on the video?" Ignore them.

How on earth could someone come to your channel or any persons channel and just make rude or disrespectful comments? You clearly state what your channel is for and what you do and why you do it. Ive just never understood why people do that. If your not interested in a topic why watch it and why comment? Like you said just move on to another one of your videos or another creators. I'm sorry that you receive these mean and hurtful comments. I do appreciate you making these videos and helping all of us out. Hope you have a wonderful day!

I am really very sorry to hear about the hurtful comments a few people have left. Totally unnecessary. Same thing started happening to a friend of mine who started her channel. Once she she reached a wider audience the haters came out. If people don't like what they are watching just stop and find another channel. Remember, you have about 12,000 people who love your channel and only a handful that don't. Continue to believe in yourself and don't lose heart. 💞

Thank you Alisa, that’s just what happens when you grow on UA-cam. I’ve learned to just accept it and move on. I always respond nicely and in this one case she deleted her own comment. Maybe she realized she should have never left it. It happens often but this one particular comment just really threw me off. I know what my audience here wants to see because my analytics show me all that information. And yes almost 13,000 people now and that is exciting! Have a wonderful day and Happy Coloring!

Love those combinations! I usually go on Pinterest to get inspiration for more colour combinations but I might actually create a chart of my own! Thank you for the video! I've been watching and learning from u recently and I've subscribed!
I just have a question kind of unrelated but how does one usually travel with pencils/white gel pens or pastels? Are there any restrictions? I'm travelling soon and I've been trying to research how to travel with my supplies and I'm planning on bringing a few colouring books and pencils with me on the plane and I hope I can bring them along

@@PamelasPassionforPencils Thank u! I'll go check cause they can be pretty strict in what to bring on the plane
Colouring is really relaxing and it helps me calm down
every time I go on a plane I just can't relax so right now I'm thinking of bringing my colouring supplies with me

All coloring is very subjective and there are many differ styles of coloring as well. This is what I am seeing across the board. With the haters you still have to help the beginners out never should forget that. Yes if you know better with combination of color that is great you have grown……. Good for you to realize that your speaking to whom ever it applies to. Maybe that person needs to start their own channel…… just saying you are a teacher of many levels. What about a thanks you…….dealing with the public can be messy.
