This is an EXCELLENT video on blending! I just watched it the other day and I took a whole bunch of notes that I added to my self-teaching adult coloring binder I have made for myself. I've got it sectioned out into different categories such as color theory, the color wheel, and coloring techniques like blending. And this video taught me so much and after watching and pausing it and practicing my blending gradients along with your instruction I think my technique is the best that it has been since I began coloring!! I'm actually following it now as I color two different colored gradients for my post, I am going to add to show everyone in your FB page the new Norberg and Linden XXL 125 colored pencil set I got last night in the mail!! Yay! Have you ever heard of that brand? I hadn't and I researched them and read all the reviews and took a chance on them because the price was impeccable for the number of pencils you get and the extra supplies and coloring pad on 100g paper with many beautiful pictures and extra paper to use as you wish. I would really love your opinion on them if you have used them and know about them. They are wax based pencils, and I am such a novist and hate to speculate but, in my opinion the set that I have is a VERY close match to the Prismacolor pencils. They are really great pencils. And thank you again for making videos like this one for us to learn from. I've said it before and I will say it again, you are a WONDERFUL instructor! I absolutely love how you teach everything, down to the most minute thing some may think but can make a world of difference in those of us who don't already know the information. I am so glad you let us know to make sure we clean our blending pencils off before using them on something different and making sure that we brush away with a make-up brush or blow away, the pencil dust so it doesn't smudge on our colorings. I sure do wish I was able to take your private teaching classes but maybe one day. Thank you again!
Love your channel Pamela. Your content is so helpful and upbeat. You bring such an inspiring energy to your coloring. While I don’t always have time to colour, I love listening to your videos. They brighten my creative day. Thank you.
@@PamelasPassionforPencils have you done a beginner’s guide to gel pens? I watched the one you did about blending and ordered the Colorit pens you recommended. They should be delivered tomorrow, I can hardly wait!! But I’m a nervous Nellie about the techniques and getting started with them.
Good tutorial! Thanks. I’m learning... so glad my 72 set Prismas has cream! Can’t wait to try it. Hobby Lobby has a few individual colors, I found Magenta and white $2.29ish I believe (one of my favs and shortest pencil!) I’ll be checking to see if they have cream. I can see that I will want the 150 set soon! Lol. One of my problems is that I tend to use my favorite colors over and over. I need to expand.
Great combos. Please please do a video about how you choose which colors you use in your combinations. Like you said with the last example you wouldn't look at that group of colors and immediately think they would make a good combo so WHY/HOW did you pick them? Thank you so much Pamela for all your wonderfully informative and helpful content. Love your channel!
LOve these!! I woud love to see you use these on a page ...gorgeous! I also have been wondering about how to color shadows when the light source is coming from behind. I really like the pic in the Hannah Lynn book (i forgot what it is called but it is newer with all the working ladies) and the particular girl is hiking with the sunrise in the center of page but behind the mountains etc. I was so confused as to where I would shadow for that lol..I have so much to learn. thanks for your vids..They are so great and I get so excited when I see that you uploaded! ...sorry for rambling in the comments :)
This is the paper I use. There should also be a link that takes you directly there in the description box of the videos and on all my videos. I am so glad you're enjoying my channel. amzn.to/3q2nNQS
That all depends on the pencils. If it's Prismacolor, Polychromos, Luminance then those are available open stock meaning you can purchase individual pencils when they run out. As far as budget sets that are available on Amazon such as the Brutfuner square pencils, those you would need to purchase a new set.

How do you get extra pencils when yours are used out. Do you have to buy another set

What is the trick to grey scale
I have a few videos on grayscale if you search my channel.
