As someone who has read maybe 2-3 Stephen King books in my life, I would love a video of yours ranking all the ones you've read, to know which ones to read :)
So much Stephen King! Love it! I started the second Dark Tower but I had it on audio through Libby and it was due before I got very far but I am now listening to the Stand so hopefully I finish it before it’s due!
New subscriber here 😊 I'm loving these videos! Thank you so much for uploading content like this. I can tell you truly enjoy reading stories and sharing your thoughts with us. I just finished reading 11.22.63. I just bought the audiobook for it. I'm listening to the story all over again. It's a story I can't stop thinking about. I also ordered IT, The Green Mile, and Billy Summers, all by King from Amazon. Can't wait to dive into his universe! Happy reading!!
I’ve watched a bunch of movies based off his books but never read a single book of his. You’ve convinced me I need to read some of these. Next month I’m actually going to attempt 11/22/63 for Historathon. Excited to see what I think of it.
I'm reading the Green Mile right when I finish Stranger in a Strange Land by Heinlen, and I'm so excited! I've already read part one and I can already tell that it might become a new favorite of mine. Cheers!
I love your videos . My favorite video was the one on how to get your man into reading . I just purchased Pet Cemetery and The Shinning by Stephen King.
Learning that Stephen King is more than horror from you, has opened my eyes. I think you and your wife should do bookshelf tours. With the books that you will not part with.
- I've never heard of Colorado Kid😮😮 - I haven't read The Green Mile but I've watched the movie and it was so sad😭 - I LOVE Dolores Claiborne and I especially like the audiobook! You can hear her take a drink of water during the interview😅 - I've read and watched Misery....the book is WAY better and darker than the movie.....I liked everything about the book except for the book excerpts....totally unnecessary imo😅 - You read so much Stephen King this month...Goals!!!🎉🎉
I read the green mile when it came out as seven individual books love this video and your amazing channel and sending my prayers and blessings for you and your wife and your families love your Aussie family friend John ❤❤
As a Stephen king fan I have to say, Ian you have to read Sátántango!! There’s not really a connection with king’s writing style, but I just wanted to recommend you my favorite book🥹
I’ve never read misery but the name Annie Wilkes sounded familiar and then I remembered that she was also a character in the series Castle Rock which I think was adapted from several of King’s stories. If you haven’t seen it, you should watch it :)
Oh no I love Stephen King books, but I was really looking forward to watch your thoughts on Fairy Tale since it was in the thumbnail😢 Hope we get to see it soon.
Out of his Hard Case Crime books my rankings - Joyland (actual crime story), Later (you nailed it Sixth Sense vibes), Colorado Kid (a mystety with no reveal). Ive got Billy Summers on my Kindle.
Amazing challenge & I highly enjoyed it! The only thing I would change is you should have read The Green Mile in its true form, as a serial novel. A slight injustice in your reading experience.
Im always happy for a new video but im still waiting for you to read the count of monte cristo after that 24 hour challange clickbate (i was reading it at the time and loved it so i saved the video until i finished and than you didnt read it😭) youll love it, adventure, revange, fast paced and youre not one to be sceard of long novals, please read it!
I have only read a few Stephen King stories, It, Carrie, The Gunslinger(3x) and On Writing. My sister and I listened to the audiobook and we both really enjoyed it. I have dabled at reading The Stand and Christine, but never made it very far. I will be trying Christine again when my hold comes in.
Hey if you're looking for tearjerkers written by Stephen king I would go with The Girl who loved Tom Gordon and what's essentially a short story Elevation
Oh the Green Mile that movie I saw/heard the part where they didn’t put water in the sponge. Traumatized me for so long. My husband showed it to me as an adult. It’s a good movie but never again. The book may be safer for me though.
Right when you introduced The Colorado Kid, I verbally said “oh no….. he’s not going to like that.” He’s got a lot of winners, not sure what that one was though.
Haha your a beast reading that much. And someone needs to do an investigation on Stephen King and see where he’s hiding his multi dimensional machine to write so many books with great detail.
Dolores Claiborne is my favorite Stephen king book i also love the movie adaptation starring kathy bates and Jennifer Jason leigh both are so underrated please check out the film
So I'm curious and have to ask - how do you keep track of all the Stephen King books? I just looked up on wikipedia that he has 50+ novels and 200+ short stories and some of them are sequels or series or linked in some way. I feel like this is an author that needs a spreadsheet or flow chart lol.
Have you ever read Billy Summers by Stephen King? If not then you have to read it. It’s a personal favourite of mine and hugely underrated in my opinion.
@@iangubeli Absolutely. It was the second book of his that I read (the first being the shinning) and it really showed me that he is so much more than just a horror writer.
I just enjoy watching you Ian, because I’m not a KING fan now before everyone kicks me out lol, Kings is wayyyyyy too wordy but BUT like his movies, but just love Ian videos both Ian and wife’s videos. Good Christian couple THATS what attracts me, can’t find that much any more and that is what I want on my feed. Thank you guys
Hey Ian I would love to discuss with you the possibility of having me help you edit your videos. I don't want to charge anything but I just want to have more experience to add to my portfolio. Please reach out:)
I am a simple woman. I see Ian or Ashlynn and I smash the like.
Me too i am new to each of their channel and i am obsessed
Same... 2 seconds in, I'm already liking their video 😅
Are you KIDDING me, FREAKIN' GUY??? TWO VIDEOS BACK TO BACK??? You're killing me!!!! WHAT A FRIDAY THIS IS. May the Lord keep you safe!
As someone who has read maybe 2-3 Stephen King books in my life, I would love a video of yours ranking all the ones you've read, to know which ones to read :)
Absolutely. I’ve read about 10 now but want more lists like this from someone who loves his work
The way my jaw DROPPED when you said you hadn’t read Misery!
In my top 3 of SK forever.

Two more on the way for October😏

I’ve read later and thought the same! I really enjoyed it!
Hope you like the books, Ian! This was an awesome video and I’m cracking open Night Shift immediately.

Doctor Sleep is one of my favorite books of all time! I also seriously recommend you read Joyland. The audiobook in particular is excellent 😁
I’m new to the booktube world and have binged I think all of your videos and bought my first Stephen King novel the other day 🎉

I’m so glad to see someone else who’s read Satantango! Anything by Krasznahorkai is amazing but I tore through that one!
Delores Claiborne is fantastic. Her voice is like talking to a real person. Real conversations don’t always flow in a linear fashion.
The sunglasses lol perfect vibe for this video
Currently Reading Cell by sk and it's so good! Can't wait for you to read it so I can hear what you think!
this guy"s is videos are fire
Absolutely eating these Stephen King videos up!!! Please read The Tommyknockers soon!
Underrated bookclub.
I’ve never read misery but the name Annie Wilkes sounded familiar and then I remembered that she was also a character in the series Castle Rock which I think was adapted from several of King’s stories. If you haven’t seen it, you should watch it :)
I haven’t read any of these and I’m wanting to read more Stephen King. Definitely will have to add them to the list.

The Stand is great.
Wow! Just wow!
Green Mile is in my top 5 books of all time. I was devastated by the ending 😢
7 books in 7 days is so impressive. 🎉
They should be savored. Not rushed through.
Usually I do savor. This is just a video A LOT of viewers wanted to see.
You need to read Bag of Bones. It’s creepy, beautiful, and horrifying all at the same time. Besides It, this is my favorite book by Stephen King
YEEES IM SO EXCITED 🤩
Hey if you're looking for tearjerkers written by Stephen king I would go with The Girl who loved Tom Gordon and what's essentially a short story Elevation
If you liked the Doctor Sleep book you should watch the 2019 movie. It was a really good movie. Just watch out for the baseball kid scene!
Just started 11/22/63. I DNFed Billy Summers, so maybe this will be an SK novel I finish!
Oh the Green Mile that movie I saw/heard the part where they didn’t put water in the sponge. Traumatized me for so long. My husband showed it to me as an adult. It’s a good movie but never again. The book may be safer for me though.

I finished Needful things last week. I need a good King substitute or a hidden gem by King (ive read all of his well received novels and classics)
Revival is sooo good and I am surprised there isn’t more hype surrounding it
The Institute and Fairy Tale.
Hidden gem? Definitely THINNER.
You might want to check out
Bag of bones or Dolores Claiborne
@@RPisa2416 Revival is legit my favorite King book ever lol
Wooo Doctor Sleep is fantastic
Finallllyyyy you read doctor sleep!
My absolute favorite

It would be cool if you did a videos reading books by Stephen King’s son Joe Hill.
I like doctor sleep better than the shining. Both book and movie
I liked doctor sleep better than the Shinning book as well. Never seen either movie though. Shinning still a amazing book though
WOW!! 🤩 7 books in 7 days. How do you read so fast? Any tips 😊
How could you do this to me?! I was so excited to see fairy tale in the thumb nail and then you didn’t read it. 😭
Fairy Tale makes an appearance in a video coming out next week😏

Have you ever read Billy Summers by Stephen King? If not then you have to read it. It’s a personal favourite of mine and hugely underrated in my opinion.
Yes! I read Billy for a video back in June. It was INCREDIBLE!! Really shows off how amazing of an author he still is this late in his career!
@@iangubeli Absolutely. It was the second book of his that I read (the first being the shinning) and it really showed me that he is so much more than just a horror writer.
