The 3rd flat is smaller but it is lovely. We moved to a small home 3 years ago and we did have to declutter big time, but so worth it. Easy to look after and cheap to run so, more time and money to go out and do things. ❤
@@yvonnecoogan8287 thank you. So glad you agree x
I also down sized to a lovely south facing bungalow had a lot of decluttering but wofth it , have got more funds to enjoy traveling x❤ go for it 😂
I thought the 3rd floor flat was the best; it seemed to tick all the boxes except for the size of the lounge and really, I think it could work. Just a little more declutter of your current lounge and dinning table and I think it would be brilliant for you. Sometimes a ‘jewel box’ is the best solution.
Apartment 3 is gorgeous! I don’t think it’s too small for one person. The location and “up there” is perfect ❤
If you feel that good in that last apartment, you need to grab it before it’s gone you may not find another one with the same feeling. I think it’s plenty big enough for one person. I had a good feeling about it too. Love to you.
That third flat was lovely. Truly you. You only wish to make one more move, why not just do it. Lock and leave. High up with great views, less maintenance. Get a sofa bed for emergency guests. Ive been declutterring for 10 years. It’s only stuff and now forgotten handed it to either auctions, family and my local Hospice. No longer worrying about someone else having to clear out my life. Travel light, less is more. Some people buy a garage or rent a lock up. They often regret it because it’s always in the back of your mind.
Flat 3 has ‘the feel’. Loving it. ❤
The third flat, small but perfectly formed. It was lovely and just think the smaller the flat less cleaning, more fun!
The smaller the house , the smaller the bills
Apartment 3 was gorgeous. I felt it too!!
@@elainedenning thank you! Everyone seems to love it , meant to be I reckon and will afford me such freedom! Having a second look on Weds. X
I live in a small bungalow after years in big houses - it’s a joy - less work, less bills, and you can only use one room at a time anyway. What’s not to love? Stuff is just stuff - always replaceable - memories not objects live in our minds and hearts forever❤❤
yes
I think that flat would be fabulous, especially as you got ‘ the feeling’ which is important. Xx
I agree with so many here - the third flat for sure!! If you have to, buy smaller lounge furniture, and the roomi will not seem small. Being on the top floor and that view is everything! Also, I loved your first outfit, so stylish and cute!
@@trisha3338 thank you x
I had a dear friend , who sadly died a few years ago , who worked freelance for new builds…she told me they did a sparkle and shine. Basically anything like windows, taps mirrors. Any reflective surface they gave it a polish before the house went on sale.
Hi lovely, I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of your friend, that's so sad. Interesting what she said. Sending much love xx
I like the smaller one, it just has so much furniture making it look smaller. We moved to an apartment from a 4 bed house a year ago. No regrets. No maintenance to worry about and we travel a lot so it’s perfect for us.
@@lindacurtis7267 thank you! Just what I need to hear x
Apartment 3 is beautiful and the balcony is “everything” ❤
No. 3 for sure. I downsized from a 4 bed to a 1 bed tiny house and have never looked back. The decluttering is tough, but you forget you had so much stuff and you really won’t miss anything once it’s gone.
@@barbaraoshea8639 thank you so much , that really helps x
The last flat was beautiful!
Flat #3 Suzy is YOU, great views, lighting, all renovated, tub and shower, thanks for the decluttering advice, good luck with the selling and move!!❤😊
You are a ray of sunshine.
I enjoy watching your vlogs.
Thanks for sharing your tips on decluttering.
Your current apartment has a lovely flow and is very light and airy.I hope you get a buyer soon.
The last apartment is very nice.Top points for the garden and lovely balcony and nice neighbour's.
Happy hunting.🎉
YES! Flat #3 ! It's bigger than the house I've owned for the last 25 years (& will have to downsize out of someday). Thanks so much for sharing your relocation adventures! Jack is probably looking down on your activities & smiling while playing with all the other dead doggies in heaven.
@@AndreaJohnson-mz9kc what a lovely vision you gave me of little Jack , thank you ❤️
The last flat is superb. I would go for that one. Smaller flat, less work.
I agree No. 3 had something special and you could make it fabulous. Good luck in the hunt. See you next week.
The third one was you! Yes I always have gone with my inner self 😏As you said no fast moves but definitely go with your “inner instinct “ ⭐️👏🌸
It's a bit like choosong a pet. You just know when you cuddle it, there's an immediate vibe/connection. Go with your heart Suzie and some sunshine if possible. Very important in winter.
Definitely the 3rd flat when you get that lovely feeling when you are in there you know that’s the one.
Having lived in a small-ish flat with my hubby for years, I think flat 3 is the perfect size. The views, light, and outdoor space in the end will be more valuable to you than the space, especially as we age.
Really loved the 3rd apartment, you can't beat being top floor. I struggle with noise and wouldn't cope with anyone above. Adore Damien Lewis ❤
Apartment no. 3 for sure. The heart knows ❤ and on the practical side nothing needs doing and great outlook.
go with your heart Suzy.. your eyes lit up, we could all see your energy when you were at that 3rd apt. And it isn't small. it is just perfect for you.. All those empty rooms carrying emptiness not a good thing. Go for the space where you fill all of it with your lovely, lively, wonderful energy.. You just gotta change your mindset. And change is a good thing. Good luck sweet Suzy.
love, love, love that last flat X
@@jeneferlofty4558 yay!thank you x
Hi Suzi, I Love the 3rd flat, I could sense the energy, lovely. Also its a plus that the kitchen and bathroom are new. ❤
Love the black and white outfit and beach bag and I love the belt. Love the red and white dress/ outfit of your friend. The royal blue hoodie looked great. I hope you find a place as gorgeous as you’re living in now. How beautiful the decorating is. Thank you for showing. The small apartment is nice if your going to be away for a while. I live in a very tiny apartment and it feels like cabin fever all the time, I can’t wait to be outside every day. If it’s your base, that’s perfect. You mention on another video you’d like to travel more. You will make the right decision for you. Great video. ❤️
I recently came across your channel and have watched a few videos. I have been a bit depressed and down in the dumps lately, but your joie de vivre has really perked me up, so thank you so much!
Aww, I'm sorry to hear you've been feeling a bit down, so pleased that I could perk you up a bit xx
3 rd apartment looks perfect ❤
Hope you find your perfect place don’t rush into it! I’m also selling my house at the moment which is big and downsizing is hard, my husband passed away last year and I have a lot of stuff to get rid of.
Good luck with your search xx

It’s a lovely flat…follow your instincts ❤
WOW your home is spectacular!!! really a dream home. It will sell immediately no doubt. Follow your heart and your energy - go for the one that lifts you up! there's no downside to this. ♥
Thank you so much for your positivity Colette! Hope you have a great week xx
@@AlternativeAgeing Thank you - you too have a super week 😎
Yes! That last flat was devine. You are so smart to wait though. You’ll know when it’s the right one for sure. It’ll feel like home! What a great week! 🥰
Number 3 was the best, it was so your vibe and plenty big enough.
It's all about the vibe 🎉
Thank you so much for all the mentions Suzi! I’ve loved helping you get your beautiful home ready to go on the market, now it’s time for someone else to enjoy it.
I love the third flat too, with the gardens, park and a balcony you’ll still be surrounded by nature and have a sea view.
I did some pre-photo styling in that block last year and it was a flat like the second one, lovely big living space but no bath or access onto the gardens. It’s great you’ve narrowed it down so quickly and can tell agents exactly what you want!
@@JL-tp7fh thank you for the best advice ever! I’m now in a bidding war for the perfect little flat - IF it happens, you’ll be needed again for space saving solitons! Who better , thank you my friend xxx
I got some very good inspirations about the colour coordinations , and of course some flowers here and there, ,no personal items , light and airy , thanks.....
I loved the last flat Suzi. However do be aware of top floor flats especially if it’s windy - you could end up with roof problems like me. I like not having anyone above me - although last winter I had a noisy, messy squirrel family living in the loft! I completely understand why you want to move - but your place looks so lovely - I hope you find somewhere equally nice. Good luck my darling 🍀💕
@@rumdo5617 roof had just been done apparently but thank you x
I live here - there are no problems with the roof - I am top floor as well in this block - the buildings are very solid - and we have constant maintenance of our building - hence why our maintenance fund keeps £1m for such eventualities👍
Love the top floor flat!
Personally, it's apartment 1 for me. A good sized living space, which has lots of potential for styling in Atr deco and a big bedroom, both bath and shower- with balcony and sea view. Depends on the management company and the monthyl fess- also art deco, is there a grading on the exterior. Apartment 3, too small a space for visitors. On my 7th property and not doing it again, hapy in a 2 bed house near the high street.
I love the last flat! ❤… I think it’s perfect for you. Happy house hunting!!❤
Loved no. 3 thats the one
Greetings Suzi! I loved those apartments! Always follow your inner knowing. You have to love it and have that "feeling" that it's the one. Love and blessings ♥️🙏
Beautiful! You don't strike me as a woman that sits around much-I think the last one you looked at is beautiful even though it's the smallest one you looked at. In one of the bedrooms as your guest room/study, you could get a Murphy Bed, and when there are no guests, the bed stays up out of the way and it just looks like a beautiful armoire in your room. Then when you have company, pull it down and reveal the bed. Your own magic trick. I love how you are enjoying life and I'm looking to you as a mentor. ❤
Thanks for another great vlog Suzi .. Love British festivals . We take great music for granted living at home .. not the same here in Canada, even in Toronto where i live Having downsized a couple of years ago because my husband died during Covid , he was from Southampton and I'm from London & Southsea .. I found apartment living a difficult transition . Didnt miss the maintenance or daily upkeep but missed space and my garden especially . I know, it's a trafe off! Think your'e right , a big a flat as possible , big balcony as possible . I live on the top 4th floor of an older building, thick walls so very quiet . Its nice not to have any noise above but a drag coming and going., no lift . I live in the beach area with beautiful views of Lake Ontario and next to a gorgeous park. I really liked the ground floor flat you viewed , it was so bright .. garden access would"ve have been lovely ..but I also love a bath too !
@@tillysanders2593 thank you , it all helps . I know I will miss the space but little else! I am so sorry about your loss, take good care suzi x
@@AlternativeAgeing Thank you darling ,best wishes x
I prefer your home to those three flats. No comparison. Saltdean is beautiful. 🥰💕
the last flat is great, and location!
I think you could make flat 3 work for you. It didn't look that small to me, except in comparison to the others and your current house of course.
And if it gives you more financial freedom that would be a huge plus.
So excited for you!
Apt number was 3 was super cozy! I'd pick that one too! I love a small space, easier to clean, maintain and discourages accumulation of clutter!
Flat 3 was just what you wanted Suzie. ❤
Forgive me, Suzi - I still can't fathom why you'd leave that gorgeous house of yours for a flat..... Your enjoyment of your new home depends entirely on your neighbours: they may be quiet now but people move/relocate/die and then you may be stuck with music-blaring neighbours who ruin the tranquility. And when you're infirm (hopefully many years hence) you can sit outside your current home and chat to passers-by, whereas in a flat you're stuck, staring at your four walls. Excited to see where you'll end up. x
@@EdelweisSusie sorry but I have to - some people have to downsize fir financial reasons and I live in a semi-detached which could also give me noisy neighbours down the line . Lovely as my house is I really don’t want to work for the rest of my life and 4 beds 2 baths is now way too big and expensive x
Your friends dress is Anthropolgie Bettina. I have two, one in blue print and one in black floral - love them.
How amazing that you know that!! 🙏👗
It' a lovely house. Tip of the moment from sellers seems to be not to overprice but pitch realistically and get prospective buyers bidding against each other. The market has changed so much - back in 2022 no-one would let us view anything until we'd definitely got a buyer. Apartment 3 would tick all the boxes for me. Perfect size for one in my opinion.
@@essanjay8604 so agree on 3rd. Perfect for me and my new life! X
What a nice restaurang,LOVE THE COLOURS and libanes food os good 😋
Hi Susie loved the vlog the apartments were lovely but not sure if they were for you but you will know when it right for you. Your house looks amazing I’m sure it will sell so quickly I wish I could afford to buy it but like you I’m getting to the point where I should downsize just not ready for that yet as I also live alone. Good luck 😊🤞
No.3 is very nice. That balcony! Given that it's below your budget, you could invest in some quality interior design to maximise the space, especially in the bathroom. Best of luck with both sale and future purchase. 😊
@@EileenR11 exactly! I so agree. The bigger one is a 100k more and would have cost me loads to give it character. X

Flat 3 was the only one that looked loved and homely, think you could be very comfortable there.❤xxx
Your home looks so charming.
I actually like Apt no 1. No. 3 has a nice bedroom and it seems airy and has a better view, bathroom is small though. From someone who lives in a studio I understand small, and it is something to consider. It took me 2 years to adjust to it. Also, a small kitchen can be aggravating, however, you can make anything work if you like it enough. Re: the view, do you like to see people walking around or just look at nature? My place is surrounded by trees but I don't see people, it's nice to see some movement every now and again.
The last flat was gorgeous and I don’t think it will be on long, you do have to go with how you feel 😊 Xxxx
It’s so exciting looking to buy a new home! I agree, you really have to feel it when you walk in.❤
Hello from Vancouver Washington. I haven’t made it through your video yet I think you might be my new favorite. Immediately enjoying your happy attitude!!!
Aww, thank you so much! So lovely to hear! Have a great week xx
I love your pants at the very beginning of this vlog. Yes, when we got ready to sell our last house I had to look at it as not my house anymore and de-personalize it. Fix everything that needed fixed. Take down personal photos etc. Clear counter tops. We sold our house in 5 days back in June of 2008. We were very fortunate.
Flat one was better option because the bathroom had separate shower. In flat 3 you would be climbing into the tub which might become tedious. Also very bright and airy.
I watched your beautiful vlog, house is amazing, right looked at the flats again on right move, the 3rd flat is definitely a beautiful one, if i was on my own, i would have loved it... not much to even do to it... looked at loads... this one is special ❤
@@lindaroulston3473 thank you , I feel the same , can’t wait for a second viewing x
The smaller flat would be perfect for you with the right furniture. Pieces that are the right scale and with storage would make the small flat live large. It's very freeing to down size as we grow older.
@@jonigardner2558 I so agree , thank you x
Your home is GEORGIUS
Yes Wick Hall is a nice place to live and near St Anne’s Well Gardens which is a bonus. No shops nearby but it’s just a 10 minute walk. Love to see you in Hove !
Hi Suzi, looking fabulous as always. Your hair looks amazing.Glad it turned out nice for your mini festival. Awesome styling in your lovely home. Love art deco. Nice size apartment, great views in the first one. Love the balcony and the views in the third one. Thanks for taking us round. Have a good week.🐞
When choosing a apartment you have to look at how you like to live... How will you feel about the kitchen in another room so you will have to go from the lounge then walk out into the hall to get to the kitchen, it will mean you will have to heat the whole flat...
Look for a apartment that is a little bit more opened planned.
All about where you feel most comfortable Suzi Your home is Stunning I wish you all the luck you will know when it’s right place for you take care ❤
Loved the top floor 3rd apartment and everything about it.. especially overlooking the Buddhist center ... beautiful, Having lived until recently 9yrs in the most beautiful apartments in Singapore i am happy to be living in a grade II listed house now, So many plus points to apartment living but personally i love your current home 🙂
Watched Pam Ayers anecdote about selling her house. Prospective buyers noticing a set of photos of her in the office and she heard them say “ they seem to be big fans of Pam Ayers “ of course her telling was very funny. Good luck with all of it I’m sure it will be worth it

Flat #3 is gorgeous!
Good luck with the sale, and finding a new home. We moved 7 years ago from a big farmhouse to small 2 bedroom house in middle of town. Love it here, can walk everywhere have joined loads of groups, so keeping very busy. Small garden so have birdie tweet tweets ( very important). Garden is blaze of colour right now, and gives me no end of pleasure. It’s so difficult downsizing, despite selling and getting rid of so much “stuff” I still have a garage full, top to bottom that I still need to go through, ( been 7 years and I haven’t touched it!). Small is easy to keep clean, and running costs are minimal. My daughter and her family live in hove , so I know where you’re looking , the park etc, nice area. My daughter lives on sea front in hove, always windy! But easy walk or bus into town, plus so so many lovely places to eat. Good luck with it all.
Thank you Tessa! I'm so glad you found your happy home! Hopefully I will soon too xx
If you want to downsize get a small cottage/house. I have, detached, no one else’s noise and has character with parking right out front for lugging stuff/ shopping in….also no communal charges, once they’ve got you they just keep increasing. Good luck with your search Xx
No such thing where I want to live but thank you. x
Loved the vlog today. I think flat 3 as well with lots of spare travel $$. There’s only one of you and I suspect you’d adjust very quickly to the smaller lounge area. You could always make the study a TV room. Good luck with it. Nick Cave film - will love to see that!
@@susanmackay66 I so agree 👍 travelling and escaping the uk weather is the top need rather than an enormous flat! Thank you x

HI Suzi, your home is absolutely stunning! We have moved many times over the last 32 years because of my husband's job, and I must say that I have never loved each of my homes more than when we got them ready for sale! I'm sure yours will go very quickly.

In Oz we call them turn-key apartments. Favoured by many who love to travel and have retired. Good luck! ❤️
There is a lot of 29:40 big furniture in that lounge of flat 3 so Kirsty says look at the ceiling to see the floor space of the room xx
Flat 3 has the best view and in the trees so you will hear and see plenty of birdies, it is the best shape and well decorated. Flat 2 on the ground gives a great view of the garden, but you will have to add a bath etc maybe a French door to the outside and a hatch, doable. I have been to the park, so good to have outside space around. Great watching you shop for new flat, your own home is lovely so I think you will make your new one fabulous too darling, take your time a bag the best one xx
Yes it would cost many thousands to make that ground floor perfect and I wouldn't be allowed to put a door in, to the garden. Also, not sure I want loads of people living above me! It the energy thing I feel every time I walk into a top floor flat - and that one was my third! It's touch but there will be comprises , there always are! x
