Rivaldo was on the World Cup winning Brazil squad who had Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, and Roberto Carlos among others. The team was so loaded that the 36 yr old Romario was left off the team, and Juninho and the 20 yr old Kaka barely got any playing time, mainly as late subs, or starts in games that didn't really matter in the group stage. I believe they are the only World Cup team to go undefeated in the tournament. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
Juninho Paulista (not the one who played in 2006 who is named Juninho Pernambucano) did start the first 4 games for Brazil in that unstoppable 2002 team, but Juninho played a more central role than the advanced role that he used to in that team. Kaka on the other hand really just got 25 mins of game time in the last bit of the group stage by which they already were leading 5-2 and winning all the group games. While the 2002 Brazil was the only team that won 7 out of 7 games in a WC within 90 mins, they struggled quite a bit during the Qualification phase for that WC and Rivaldo was essentially one of the few key players that carried them through. For context, Brazil won the 94 WC and went in the 98 as favourites and nearly won it again until we now know what happened. And then Ronaldo sat out a 1.5 years injury from all sorts of football matches, meaning that Rivaldo, Juninho, an old Romario and a young Ronaldinho were the only ones up shouldering the attack when the team experienced a few coaches during that period. At one point, they were even at risk of their first absence from the WC until Scolari took charge and won the final few games to make it (and still without the then recovering Ronaldo). So it was under such background and more so the 98 trauma, that Brazil entered the pitch in 2002, but the 3Rs did their magic. And by the way... speaking of the team that went undefeated in a WC, while the 1970 Brazil (yes, the one with Pele) won 6 out of 6 matches within 90 mins, it should be noted that the 70 Brazil won all the Qualification games as well, and this perfect streak remain unchallenged to this date (the closest any team has gotten there was the 2010 Netherlands that fell at the last hurdle).

You need to understand that football exists in two branches, club tournaments and country tournaments. Ronaldo, Rivaldo, Ronaldinho, Kaka, Roberto Carlos, Adriano and many other names played together for the Brazilian national team (SELEÇÃO BRASILEIRA), as they were born in the same country, Brazil. However, each of them played at different clubs throughout their career, some played at the same club simultaneously (ronaldo-roberto carlos-robinho at real madrid), others at the same club at different times (romario=rivaldo-ronaldo-ronaldinho-neymar-coutinho at barcelona) During the annual sports calendar, there are some dates for games between national teams for championships between countries, where there is no contract, it is by nationality. so players from different clubs come together to play for their country.

@KIDIff It's cause of licensing shit. Konami (the owner of Pes, the other soccer game) has the licensing rights to certain teams and leagues, so fifa (now eafc) can't use them.
