So basically, having a competent sporting director in Quique Carcel and access to Manchester City scouting network is "controversial".
Haters always gonna hate.
Girona FC is proof that money is not everything in football. You still have to take good decisions with that money in order to be competitive. And that requires competent people at managerial positions. And Michel , Quique Carcel (with direct connection to Txiki Begiristain) and Pere Guardiola (brother of Pep Guardiola) know a thing or 2 about football. What they have done with a mere budget of 59 million euro is remarkable not "controversial".
Good for you, Girona. I like smaller teams coming through and challenging the big boys at the top. It's good for the sport, provides more competition and gives players a goal to aspire to. It brings a freshness to the league.
Otherwise you have the ridiculous situation like in the Scottish "Premier" League - which is a two horse race EVERY SINGLE YEAR between either Celtic or Rangers. If ever a league needs reforming and equalising it's that ! How boring it must be for fans who don't support either of those two, knowing your own team has virtually no chance before a ball has even been kicked !
Another absolute banger of a video, Dag! The 25K subscriber mark is in striking distance too, LFG!
Like your content man keep it up
Girona still has less money than most of La Liga and only like 2 players from the City group. Their top scorer of the entire La Liga is a cheap Ukrainian talent. There is no reason for controversy. If you hate them you need to hate all of professional football or even all of professional sport.
And randomly UEFA forgot the rule that any owner can have two own clubs in the Champions league
Since the city football group doesn't have more than the 50% of Girona, there is no problem
@@chris-t9z there was such a case with AC Milan and Toulouse FC this year
I mean Salzburg and Leipzig have competed in the UCL together so 🤷♂️
I don't get why people are so fussy, Liverpool, Chelsea Newcastle and united are all part of a football group and own teams but when it comes to city and girona its bad because the ownere are arabs?
No law in football says being part of a football group is illegal so why are people complaining!
Heah as u said. Anti ar..**
this is like football money laundering
I rarely comment on yt videos, but you are one of the best youtubers out there👍
Its so unfortunate that the city group may have to sell the club.
Is this regarding the Ucl thing? Because if so City Group could just find a loophole like what Red Bull did
About 3 minutes in and as an Australian, I remember Manchester City buying aleague players they would obviously never use only to loan them to Melbourne City so they had an advantage. Two key examples I remember are Aaron Mooy and Anthony Caceres. I also remember New York City purchasing David Villa and loaning him out to Melbourne City as the US and Australian seasons play at different times.
Feels to me people are salty of their success. Just look at their squad and where they're at on the La Liga table
I just hope Girona doesnt fall flat like Málaga a couple of years ago
More like a decade ago
It already is, like napoli
@@robertolopez1537 yea, ur right
name of the song in the outro???? love the work love the video great entertainment
Hard not to think of them and all other squads within the City group as being like the football equivalent of astroturf, but then again money and corruption historically rule football overall, so where are we to draw the condemnation line?
today i've chosen violence and changed the comment so the replies make no sense
Good enough reason. Multi-club ownership is a stain on the sport.
As they should
so? is that supposed to be praised?
@@Joe32beatzyour just racist because we have non white owners
I mean yeah, I have mixed feelings about them. I like that la Liga is more competitive with another club I would consider watching in a clash with the likes of Barca Real or Atletico, but I think I would rather care about athletic Bilbao who also are proving strong in the league without the man city ties.
They sold Dovbyk for 30 million euros to Roma, and bought Miovski from Aberdeen for 8 million euros. Wise decision from purely financial standpoint, although that is yet to be seen in terms of how Girona will play. Keep in mind they will play in the Champions League.
2:13 bro looks like the grinch💀
Bro jinxed them, they lost and Barca could go back to 2nd if they win on Monday 😭
They drew
2024 = Girona ; 2025 = Girona city
😊😊
Yo nice hair bro
You look like a AI generated player from EA FC with that haircut 😂
As expected, spreading hate towards city group just because they are so successful! Don't let the media fool you, the whole industry is a huge iceberg and those so call historical iconic clubs are hiding a lot, the city business is the most cleaner. The rise of this club is a new hope for us to see more competitiveness
