I remember this song airing on mtv and also the Johnny video. I immediately fell in love with Anne's voice and beauty. I went and bought the cd and this was not the version on the cd but the one on the cd grew on me and that cd was one of my favorites for a very long time. Poe/Anne and Portishead/Beth are my 2 favorite voices. I was deployed to Iraq from 03-05 and found the Haunted cd at a random px and I felt that Haunted definitely rivaled the the Hello album and impacted me more in certain ways than the hello album. There was a part on the Haunted album where her mother hadn't answered the phone when her father had just passed and Anne says maybe if I sing a song she will answer which made me feel that her voice was so beautiful even as a child she was probably able to sway or calm her parents with her voice. It's hard to not tear up thinking about that album and how amazing it is. I had a friend who looked like Anne who used to sneak in my bedroom window 1992-1996 to spend the night with me in middle school we would skip middle and high-school together with all our other friends all the time. We always shared new and older music. Music was always a bonding experience. My friend became a engineer and I joined the Army in 2000 and I'm still in the Army but I still have my POE albums and still listen to the occasionally
I've been listening to Poe on repeat the last 11 hours straight, and it finally occurred to look for music videos. It's been 24 years since the last album... Are these newly added videos a sign of a new album?!

Haunted and hello albums have been in my regular rotation since i saw her open for Depeche mode over 20 years ago. I can't believe the legal issues that robbed us from literally decades of incredible music from Poe.
Since the Universe xannot bring back to life my favorite greek music composer Dimos Moutsis (deceased 10 days ago) whom I adored like if he had been my father, it's nice to see you, Anne, coming back in full extend.
