I'm curious about the baffle right behind the tip. In one of your other videos you refaced a Vandoren HR V16 and you mentioned that too much baffle right behind the tip can cause a bright shrillness in the sound. I have noticed that about the sound of the HR V16's. You didn't seem to do as much work on the baffle with the Jazz Select so I'm wondering if the baffle is not as high as the V16 and thus less or not shrill.
Hey Bob, thank you! The baffle on these Select Jazz pieces is not always consistently the same so sometimes you have to work more on them than on other pieces. I don't show much of the work in this video, so I am sure I spent much more time than you see.
