Great Video MetaGoblin i didn't knew about the snapshot thing I really like Windserpents because they are able to deal damage in Boss phases were other pets can't (Ragnaros AOE) Just pre set a "stay/retreat position" before the fight and add /cast Lightning breath to your rotation macro so it still does some damage whenever it has to retreat

I remember having a scorpid in BC because of the damage, and switching to something else because the damage was nerfed Might have had something to do with armor, but that might help you figure out when it was changed!
iirc shy is Alliance Quest also in winterspring I should add that at least it was for me on my Hunter when I did it during the burning Crusade I never did it in vanilla so I could be wrong maybe it used to be a horde only Quest

Nothing wrong with anything he said. If you are the hunter in the melee group, you move within range of howl. If you mean that you can use a wolf in a hunter group, you'll have to recall the wolf to where the hunters are standing, in order to get in range. The other thing he said, being not the one buffing, meaning another hunter can bring a wolf.

I am curious, as to why you believe the wind serpent is the superior Pet come ZG due to an increase in Lightning breadth rank. When the DPS gain going from rank 5 to rank 6 is only 4. Also, pet attack speed is very important due to Gift of Arthas debuff. In a 60 second boss fight, a 2 attack speed pet will have attacked 30 times, while a 1.0 attack speed pet will have attacked 60 times. Gift of Arthas provides a static 8 damage bonus per hit, resulting in 30 * 8 = 240 / 60 = 4 dps 2.0 attack speed vs 1.0 attack speed. Cat : Broken Tooth for 1.0 attack speed. Wolf : Doomhowl or Shadowfang keep wolf for 1.2 attack speed. Actual hunters, gathering actual data and thoroughly testing it are not quite sure how good howl will be in classic 2019. First of, howl adds to the base damage of the player damage, and is affected by % weapon damage modifiers such as backstab, critical strike damage, and talents increasing the damage of critical strikes such as mortal shots. Second, we are not quite sure of armor values, though it seems that most private servers have been somewhat overtuned in that regard. What we do know for sure about howl, is that it will be exceedingly difficult to properly evaluate it. Since attacks can be a hit, crit, glancing and since it's ''next attack'', we cannot ensure each howl will land on a backstab or other abilities which scale better than regular strikes with weapon damage. @@thecsslife That's what I've heard too. Fast pets like BT are good for leveling and pvp, but offer no advantage for raids. BTW, my first cat's attack speed is 1.60, and my BrokenTooth cat's attack speed is 1.0 so a lot faster for interrupting casters.

Because that snapshot thing is irrelevant. Pets in vanilla do not scale with AP so popping any kind of AP trinket does not increase the pet dps.

6:15 A hunter who has to take a turtle because he is not able to do basic pet management has nothing lost in a raid PERIOD!
princess huhuron in AQ40 during the enrage nature aoe spam a turtle is a good option

Broken Tooth isn't a secret. But it's a PvP pet for pushback more than raiding
