Firing WW2 Artillery! Highlights from the Chalke Valley History Festival 2016

- What an awesome WW2 weekend we had at the Chalke Valley History Festival! Some of the highlights included talks with British Dambuster George “Johnny” Johnson and a German Knight's Cross winner Günter Halm. We watched a battle re-enactment, danced the night away to the sound of the beautiful Bombshell Belles at the Blitz Party, climbed inside a British Cromwell Tank and were invited to fire the legendary 25 pounder British Artillery gun!

We are not Historians. We are two ordinary chaps who are learning about WW2 history and documenting our journey. We are exploring this period of history from the sides of both the Allies and Axis. Those with sympathetic views towards the Nazi regime or hold any type of extreme views are not welcome here on WW2 Nation.
Excellent work guys.....really well put together, and a joy to watch the vets taking time to re-live their war time experiences....wish I'd known about the show, it's on my calendar for next July 2017!!

Very nice video! Was just wondering if you were going to sometimes put in some military statistics. For example:. Dates, battles. You have an amazing opportunity to teach people about what happened in so many different locations. Also when I was in London, I went to a museum that contained a lot of WWII memorabilia including a bomb shelter. It wasn't easy to find, but worth it. Can't wait for your next video😃!

Did the air raid siren and lights go out by surprise right in the middle of the blitz party ? Looks that way in vidio but not sure.
They did. The siren came on and then everybody was asked to evacuate the tent. It was terrific!
