Yes it was good to meet a lot of of people in person that I had spoken with, but not had the pleasure. Good bunch.
Behind that huge, imposing front door of Starward is much good whisky-making. I did the tour some years ago and I remain convinced that their fermentation and distillation are top notch. The only bottling I had trouble with was the ginger beer cask one: a real hoot, but totally over the top as a whisky.
Yes that ginger beer cask was wild, very cool to try and is interesting for what it is, but full on for a whisky that is for sure!
