The fact this isn’t just a circle aoe and actually is able to dodge this way is really cool lol
I've always just run to the corners when it's that AOE, I swear when I tried this day 1 I still got clipped! Guess I was either too early or too late.
Here is a tip I learned after I did it 20 more times: when the boss drives to the edge, you can stand *right* behind the laser sword, then just walk forward as it does the circle.

This only worked because it was the pattern that you dodge by going in. If it was the pattern you dodge by going out you would’ve been hit
It's quite literally the pattern you dodge by going out. The boss' beam points inwards.
Look at the beam sword again? You can see the rest of the party get vulns
