@@mathewleung6945 You can't put the screwdriver through the holes to screw the dark rock pro in if the fan is inside. The screwdriver goes all the way through the cooler where that fan is later placed. That's why he had a mess where he put it on the cpu multiple times scratching his head at why he couldn't screw it in.
No, the weight is not being directly supported by the motherboard. The cooler is supported by the mounting bracket which in turn is being supported by the backplate of the motherboard, it is not possible to bend any component in the motherboard.
Just ordered a Dark Rock Pro 4. I see that it took a couple of times before you got it right when mounting. I heard this issue from other people too. Seems better than the Dark Rock 3 earlier version tho. Nice build...
Glad it helped. The mounting was the issue, I dad that to spread the thermal paste equally. There was a different mistake though: Dont mount the middle fan BEFORE mounting the dark rock pro to the motherboard: It will block the screws.

@@Markinpuff gotcha. You're actually the second one being worried about that. Check my other comment regarding that matter. But in my case nothing is moving.
With all fans set to silent (CPU fan is at 163RPM) and an ambient temp of 22°C it's bumping around 37-40°C. I can do a separate Video if you want - but I would probably do it for standard and silent configuration.
TY. I built my 8700k 1080ti last night and stayed up way too late. The idle temp was 41c! had me concerned and I didn't have much time after loading windows to toy with it. I'm certain that I have the cooler installed correctly yet i can turn it maybe 2degrees, Does yours do this?
Thanks for the video! I was a little worried about clearance with the same combination, but this cleared it up.
I saw you put the middle fan in at the beginning and I was like "ooooh no he's not going to have a good time with that"
wait why?

This helped me with clearance issues since I'm looking to get Dark Rock Pro 4 for my Define C
Glad it was helpful!
Can the dark rock pro 4 fit in the meshify c?
Nice , however that case looks awful for airflow. The only air coming in is through the bottom from psu and those radial slots from the front.
i love the ending haha
The weight of heatsink is very much for the board. weight and heat can bend the board if the board is held vertically.

Flat Beat👌

Only 6 subscribers? You need more for such a good video
Thanks for the kind words , mate !
Is it compatible with the i7 9700k
You mean amzn.to/3mA7I32 ? Yes, Dark Rock Pro is compatible with 1151, see www.bequiet.com/de/cpucooler/1378.
Very nice work!!
Please ad a part in the video where the pc is running without the music, so to hear the "silence"!!
Mute the audio, that worked for me. Joking :o)
Is it possible to install the DRP without removing the motherboard in the smaller case? I have the same case but don't want to take everything out...
Hi, is there any chance you could do a tutorial on how you switched the LED?
It's not even worth a video. I just removed the old one and soldered in a red one in same polarity.
And why on the Ryzen 1600 and GTX 1070 850 watt power supply and even from low-quality corsair?
Cause it runs purely passive below 50% load. And IMHO it's not bad quality. You have facts to back your statement?

how are the tempratures? provided that you only have one exhaust
Is it possible to instal the cooler after the mobo is installed in the case?
Yep, as long as you can access the backside of the Mobo
Bernhard thanks. How about sliding the middle fan? That was the main thing I’m concerned about installing mobo first.
The top fans in my case I have 2 120 like you I put it to the other way this way you put it is better ?
All the money spent on fans you could of probably upgraded the cpu to a 2700 but nice work! Did the cooler block any of RAM slots?
Haha, I guess you're right :) No issues with blocking the ram, check ua-cam.com/video/B0Hk2Jo9i54/v-deo.html
Do you find that the cooler has some play and turns a bit. I guess it’s normal, because it only has one brace across the top, but I’m not sure.
I probably don't get your question. But: I got 2 braces for each fan and that is rock solid (nothing moving). Cheers
Bernhard No, I’m referring to how the cooler sits on the cpu.
@@Markinpuff gotcha. You're actually the second one being worried about that. Check my other comment regarding that matter. But in my case nothing is moving.
Bernhard So, If you try and turn the cooler a bit, you can’t?
Tu atteins combien en terme de température ? :-)
"Which temperature do you get?" > "62°C CPU, 41°C Motherboard after 30 Minutes of Aida64 stresstest for CPU and GPU simulaneously"
Bernhard Schlegel Thank you ;) (Sorry I thought that you are french x') )

It took me 2 hours ..... but i did it inside the case 😅
