As a woodworker I freaking loved the finger scanner lock and the Laser Tape measure! Both would come in handy building and adding a cool lock to any cabinet I build.
@@michaelsorensen7567 sounds like some hard asses. I meant more for personal projects but in terms of cabinets at the shop we try to be closer to a 32nd
After seeing the macro pad I was checking out their website and loved all their products. I've wanted a product like this for when I stream to make it easier, and this here is just what I need. It's a great product and I'd love it for my setup.
@@itssjeeZe I had an issue with one years ago, board disconnected occasionally. They replaced it quickly and have never had another issue. I use them daily and prefer them over any other macropad I've tried. Even got in on the group buy for the keyboard they are doing.
Very surprised with this month's list, considering how every single item in the list feels like it could go with my setup or just seems super cool to me. Usually there's one or two items that I don't think I'd personally find useful, but I am 100% adding all these items to my wishlist!
As someone with a room which is typically around 90F, I'd have to say the desktop fan is definitely the *coolest* item and my favorite. Honestly, if I don't win it, I might end up buying one even still just to fight the Florida heat.
I just started getting into DJing and I’ve been dabbling in photography for a while now. That macropod would be an amazing addition to my setup to increase productivity and just make all my artistic project more efficient. I can always rely on you for great macro pad recs.
I absolutely loved the Hoto laser measuring tool. As an engineering student, I am constantly measuring objects and like using various rulers. I would love to own one of these Hoto laser measuring tools for sure! Also, this months list particularly caught my eye, as everything listed seems like something I would want to purchase in the near future.
The Hoto laser was a pretty good change of pace, loved it. Feels very complementary to the theme of office gadgets! Keep em coming! Ideas: specific under-desk drawers, and other more “furniture” alike stuff that will make your setup noice.
I was checking out the website for the macro pad and I was so impressed. I originally was skeptical at the functionality but after looking at all the customization was so sick. Different switches, keycaps, case style and unlimited possibilities for programming it. I would love to have it, to bad they’re out of stock.
My favorite product in the video had got to be those macropads. Not only are they functional but they don’t throw off any aesthetics. They look very appealing and would be very useful for me as a streamer/gamer. I could use it for things like volume on my mics or games. I could also use it for shortcuts while streaming. It would also spice up the looks of my setup!
4:43 this man knows the struggle of the front panel pins. Over the years we've ditched air-halting ribbon cables, exasperating master-slave jumpers, and bullet-sweating heat-sink installations - all that stuff is easy now. But in all this time - all these years - that nasty little cluster of pins has evolved as much as the cockroach, and is just as pleasant to deal with. Good-guy manufacturers silk-screen a pin diagram right next to the cluster. Bless those people.
That macro pad is sick! I’d like that for my desk setup because I think it would be really nice for discord hotkeys within games (like muting, screen sharing, disconnecting)
Honestly, that measuring tool would come in so handy! I often have to measure certain areas to know how I can get all my stuff in my small apartment. The trick would be to put a solid material at the end of the area you need to measure.
That laser measuring tool is really useful for my architecture internship! because you can just point at a wall for example without having to hold a long (less practical) tape measure :)
Great tech this video!! I'm probably going to aquire one of the two shown macro pads, since I today got my first 60% mechanical keyboard in and I would like to have some easier shortcuts. I might also pickup the laser pointer when my dad has finished rebuilding the backside of the house with my new room in it. (For those who wonderd what keyboard I picked up: it's the GK61 white)
That fan was definitely my favorite - I often have to walk away from my desk in the summer to try to cool off a bit, so having a desktop fan would be super helpful. Enjoying the videos, thanks for sharing this cool tech each month!
As soon as I saw that macropad I fell in love with it, I love the variety of colors and materials, I would love to have one to improve my skills in photoshop and editing videos, I hope I can win it, thanks
The desktop fan/lamp is my fave. This time of the year you definately need something like this. I work from home and either have to get the massive fan out which takes uo so much floor space or open the window and try and get natural breeze while im working for 8 hours a day. Definately need one of these
That macropad looks killer! Been looking for a segue into custom keyboards for a while and that seems like a great place to start. Looks like it would be incredibly useful for both work and personal applications too which is a huge plus. Would love to have one in the near future!
That Macro pad is so far up my street it potentially steals my address, Identity and life. In fact I've now got to file a case for theft of identity which naturally will become viral on YT and widely covered across the world as I prove my identity is truly mine, eventually failing and losing everything because I watched randomfrankp's lawyers for under $50. My partner left me. she took the kid. she even stole my 3080 and gave it to the Macro pad because this loved the navy cord too much. Think about it Frank, you could save future Kapow.
I hesitated on that model. I biught something else because of style and I wanted something closer to 60keys. But he LOVES the 552, its more sturdy than it looms. It feels good and for the pricetag its great! Hope that helps. I am sure you'll like it.
Watch someone named "Consumer Tech Reviews" stuff on it. I personally got the k556 and am really liking it so far. Wish it was usb-c, but I got it on sale for 40 bucks, so I aint really complaining
I think the best thing would be the R26 MacroPads, they look like they would be so useful for drawing shortcuts such as undo, redo, change brush and the wheel for brush size. I feel like it would half the time needed to do the shortcut. I've bought a few things you have recommended like the novelkeys wrist rest, the m800 deluxe which I still use to this day, the circle lamp, the Tin T2s and your mouse pad and I would 100% recommend them to everyone else all 5* items. Keep up the good content :)
I need that fan to mount on my workbench in my garage-- The sun comes blasting in there in the afternoons here in FL, and a little extra light is always helpful!
Yo Frank, what's that screen on your desk at 5:33 and other places in the vid? I've looked through your list on Lustre and couldn't find it but it may be over $50 or you haven't covered yet, so figured I would ask. Thanks!
that laser tape measure is really cool. I have a bad habit of collecting tools. I wrench on bikes and do the occasional project around the house, but I'll use just about any excuse to buy new tools. This one has been added to the list.
I loved the Hoto Laser Measuring Tool! We do a lot of home projects and we tend to have ideas pop up out of nowhere, so having a tool like this would be super convenient.
My favorite has to be the laser tape measure, I hate carrying a tape measure around and if you don't have anything to hold the other end it's sometimes useless.
THE R26 MACRO PAD!! That will surely be a game changer for me on my editing with videos and photos. I've actually been looking for a macro pad that looks unique and is not similar with what others have mostly. this macro pad will surely be the best for me!
OK I have to say the Pikatea R26 Macropad looks really awesome. For photo editing and changing between steam/epic/origin launchers which comes to mind. Fingers Crossed that I win this one. Thanks for the Cool Tech FrankP!
I like the macro pad because its not too big, gives me 8 additional buttons to use and not only will it help with my gaming setup, but it will be very useful for work. I do analytics and having that and assigning it to do specific functions would help greatly.

The Hoto Laser Measuring Tool is super cool! I moved into a new and bigger flat and I'm still figuring out my desktop setup in my bedroom, having it layed out inside an App on my smartphone would make things a LOT easier. Also, as I am doing music production work, it's really hard to accurately center the desk in the room and align the studio monitors etc. just with a folding rule.
That hoto laser measuring tool would definitely make my life easier when doing site measuring pretty slick as well and also the holes it has is perfect to carry
as much as the macro pad appeals to me, the fan/light is probably the most useful to me. my room doesn't have AC, and living in a tropical country, I need all the cooling I can get.
I like the lazer tape measure, I do a lot of renovation for my parents and every wall is a different size, so it would be great to have them automatically stored to my phone.
The small macro pads are absolutely incredible and have topped my personal list. I have a very minimalist setup with a 60% keyboard, but could really use just a couple of macro buttons and a volume knob after my tm680 crapped out on me. I could stick that on the back of my monitor and have easy access to volume controls and a list of macros that would be a game changer. If I could pick on thing from any of these videos as a christmas gift, this would be it. Added to my wishlist. Thanks for the hard work and all the ideas!
the finger print drawer locker looks perfect. Easy to install and keeps all your items safe. my friends always try to steel my stuff so that would be perfect for me.

The Axis 16 is an item I need but never knew about. I try to game competitively & stream, it could be super useful for those anxiety filled moments that makes my palms sweaty and loosen my grip on the mouse unable to grip properly
