The only two ways that I know it’s working is 1) my coolant temperatures continue to drop when looking at the intercooler temp gauge and 2) when you run it in track mode the pump runs more frequently and you can hear it or even feel the coolant lines and you can feel the coolant flowing. Not the most scientific but it’s what has worked for me. 👍🏻
If you don’t have the front mount tank then yes you route the chiller through the intercooler. Honestly save up and get the tank so you can run it direct. I originally had mine set up through the intercooler before I bought the tank and I could not achieve the below freezing temps because the intercooler was heating up the freezing coolant to just about 10 degrees below ambient. 👍🏻
Honestly I’ve been enjoying this setup all summer with ZERO issues but yes there is always potential for leaks or bursts. I also chance snapping a driveshaft running 9’s in the 1/4 mile but it’s the chance I’m willing to take to go fast. Thanks for watching 👍🏻
@@riology2234 I know there is a lot of plumbing links but definitely looking for some one piece pre bent rubber hose. I have found some on eBay that should work great and minimize all the connection points.
Honestly I use the factory front intercooler most of the time when cruising. It works so well that it’s just a couple degree above ambient. The real benefit of the bypass is when racing when you need those cold intake temperatures. You could 100% bypass it all together but then your forced to run your ac all the time.
Honestly I don’t know. I had the dealer remove the Freon for the instal and when I needed it recharged they put my original amount back in plus 2 extra grams I was charged for on my invoice. Sorry I couldn’t be more help more.
Thanks man! As far as difficulty it’s not that bad anybody familiar with automotive A/C should have no problems. The shop I took it to had it installed in 8 hours 👍🏻
Thanks for pointing out the obvious 😉 It was more of a mock up to see what worked best and what didn’t. I was just so happy to have the amazing results I had to post. I’ll have a cleaner less UGLY design in the summer. Thanks for watching 👍🏻
Is there any way to let u know the ic supercharged coolant pump is bad??

So without the front mount tank and bypass valve, do we just route the killer chiller directly into the Intercooler?

@@Modaddiction19 good to know! I’ll have to set it up without the tank for now due to time constraint. But I know what I’m getting next!
@@pnw_hc awesome man you’re going to like the system 🤘🏻
I see a LOT of leak/burst potential

@@Modaddiction19 Is there any alternative plumbing way for a cleaner looking less susceptible-to-leaking?

When/ why would you want run through the front heat exchanger? What is the benefit? Couldn't you just bypass it altogether and only run the KC?

How much freon did it take to refill?

No problem at all 😊
Amazing video man, how hard would you say this is to do for an average Mopar tech ?

Sorry but that is UGLY. reminds me of those ebay turbo kits on a civic in the early 2000's more hose clamps than horsepower
