- This demon is getting some Blower spacer plates and a blower blanket. Also on deck is a griptec 2.65 pulley to keep the slip to a minimum.

Good to have you back!
Excellent work!
Billy - you make it look soo easy and you stay clean too! nice job bro!
Thank ya sir
@@DFWSpeedhow did you remove the supercharger off the engine after the 10 bolts?
You make it look very easy. 👍🏽
After a few it is. 😎
The Griptech pulley is textured. Im surprised no one took a Metco and played with the pulley surface before the Griptech
reichard racing used to use slits/crosscuts in their pulleys.
Great vid planning on doing this to the hawk soon!
Very interesting thinking about doing it to my Redeye… I just had new bearings put in the snout Would’ve been the perfect time to do it 🤦♂️ I’m kind of curious why don’t you got a catch can on that demon🤔
Awesome Billy《☆》it will be interesting to see how the spacers & blanket are working and if any gains are attained thru this mod🤓☻🤠
BDOG JR stock gains of more than 30whp. Not sure how much gained in modded applications
DFW Speed do you have a Quote for the install? I am wanting to do this to my Hellcat with a Litens 2.85.
I have heard and experienced myself that the blanket helps until it gets heated up then it’s harder and longer to kool down? U experience that
Nice video man! I guess I need to look into switching to the Griptec pulley. I think my 2.85 makes 14.5 vs my 2.65 which makes 14.1 at the same 6600 rpms.
Puss 'N Boost we’re seeing 23psi with a 2.65 and a lower pulley
Grip tech will slip within few hundred miles then it will grip the belt good 👍
What numbers did it make on 2.65 and 10%? Which is what im guessing is what it’s running 🤔
Grip tech at first it will slip but then few hundred miles driven with it it will make its pattern grove on the belt and it will stick like glue.
I’ve changed my throttle body three times on my Redeye, and it’s still going into limp mode and showing codes for the TPS sensors, what else may cause it to continue to go into limp mode
Believe it or not, that mustache is for aero and cooling as well
Dang i have a stock hellcat and im jealous or your upgrades 😉
Nice😎
First! Happy Friday
HEYYYYYYY
Did you drain intercooler coolant from bottom of car?
After you've installed a griptec do you still have to remove the entire snout in order to swap pulleys? I love my Hellcat but it blows my mind that I gotta do so much work just to swap a pulley.
After you install the new hub and pulley you can change the pulley without removing the snout
@@DFWSpeed appreciate the information.
great video, but the last comparison part went really fast.
All that work and only a 20degF delta in blower casing temps. What were the IATs before and after?
20F is huge
Do yall have a shop? Want to do this to mine? Where are you located?
Even though you had a metco pulley already you still had to remove the snout to install the new grip pulley? It doesn’t slide off to install like when u wanna put on different size pulleys ?
The griptec uses its own specific hub. The pulleys can be swapped as long as the hub and pulley are the same type and style
That’s a pain to do then 😩. Do the spacers change the compression?
Hellcat Z no it doesn’t
I got a Ieg maker intake
Totally man-stashed out
Stupid question, this won't work for a hellcat right?
It works for hellcats, redeyes, and even hellephant. As they use the same supercharger base. The displacement is higher as you go. 2.4 in the hellcats, 2.7 in the demon/ redeyes and 3.0 on the hellephant. I got the 1 inch spacer for my hellcat Durango.
@@allenx71 Is your coolant a lot lower with the 1" spacers? I want to order them for my Redeye.
Also is the blower surface temp a lot cooler?
Would have been nice to actually see how you did it. You cut all the doing out 😂
U notice lower iat temps
Steve Givelas yes. Most notable is the reduction in intercooler water temps
Awesome
For a how to vid there was not very much how too
NorCal SRT I agree 100%! I have the same blower spacers and blanket kit that I want to install. But I can’t find a detailed enough how to video on UA-cam on taking off the supercharger!! I’m starting to think these shops don’t want to show it on purpose.
$450 for some damn plastic plates that "MAYBE" will lead to +10 horsepower. For short pulls (like at a drag strip) this will slightly benefit the car (that 10 hp) but for everyday cruising/street racing, when the discharge air (straight from the rotor pack, before the intercooler, not IAT's) can be upwards of 250°-300°F depending on boost (an efficient blower ~10°F for every pound of boost) these tiny spacers arent go to much of anything. And for the price, they dont make any sort of sense, same goes for blower spacers. When the blower does become that hot with long pulls, the engine (at 170-200°F) will actually help cool the supercharger down substantially which it would otherwise not do if insulated from it.
TLDR: WASTE OF MONEY
Gatorsrok I wipe my ass with $100 bills. Who cares
I was curious about this
Just adding them without a tune is worth around 30rwhp. With tune you're adding around 50rwhp. Better do some more research.
second! lol
Throttle body was bad... lmao.. Typical dodge... Mopar shit....
