Any of you watching interested in this styleI suggest getting the Short course from Matheus. I just bought them yesterday and its awesome. Can't stop playing. Great instruction and video that comes with the tab. I come from playing Flamenco and classic rock and loving this Country style these days so trying to get the fundamentals. My skill level maybe a little lower than intermediate, so I think this course is good for beginners in my opinion. Good exercises for hybrid picking also. It's also nice to have a resource in one place when you first start verses jumping around all over youtube; its easy to get distracted with tons of video and it slows your progress. I know there is a bunch of free stuff on UA-cam and if its all you can afford thats cool. But if you have a little extra I think it's good to support artists directly like this. We should support the arts more and support people that area spreading some good through art and music. I'm not affiliated in anyway, just someone who believes in directly supporting artists so they can continue to share something unique. Keep rocking everyone!

@@johncheetham4607 Both. I learned to read in the 60's, but I don't sight read. Tab has made me even lazier in that regard.

The neck on the guitar says it all. He has definitely put in blood, sweat and lots of hours to achieve playing the guitar at this level .

@@maiurlima8898 Sim é um estilo que gosto muito, adoro as músicas do Albert Lee, Johnny Hiland, Tim Mcgraw entre outros. Assim como gosto demais de blues.

@@matheuscanteri Steve's a top guy, always willing to sign photos for a long queue of fans before he had to go on stage. I really like Steve's guitar tone when he played for Dixie Dregs. Keep on pickin' Matheus!
Yes, that's the Steve I know ... he did a 'guitar clinic' only an hour before going on stage with Ian Paice, Roger Glover, etc ... the fan queue was long, but Steve was happy to sign photos and even signed a Tele pick guard I brought along with me. I've got 2 other signatures on that Tele 'plate ... John Heussenstamm and Greg Koch :)

Great playing, I love this type of country picking. However one word of advice: shorten the clips, on some point, in spite of being very impressed by your playing, my attention get lost (I'm Dutch, so is this the way to say that? ;) )
Two or three rounds, like you probably would do as a solo in a song is enough. That would leave me playing your solo over and over! But again, you can really play, no doubt about that!

This is pretty darn great, man. Gotta ask: I play blues and some rock and old timey hymns and my own sort of flatpicking melody type stuff but I wanna learn country. Like Brent Mason and Brad Paisley type stuff. How would you recommend I go about this?
