It's ALL about respect! Respect for the area YOU ARE VISITING. People live here and want you to visit but follow these tips for a really great time!!!!
I haven't been there in years. And didn't have a UTV at the time. I plan to go back 2022. I'm saddened to here the problems their are having . The town of Moab also needs the people there for their economy. When I show up. I plan to spend money ,be respectful to the locals and the environment. Great video. Thanks.
KEEP OUR PUBLIC LANDS CLEAN!!!! I live in Durango, and I am constantly picking up trash in the 4 corners area, more so in Colorado since the Utahans have a reputation for being clean & orderly, but it's been getting worse there recently. I have notieced quite an uptick on trash and tagging since 2016, which coincidently is right around the time that the Zoomers got their driver's licenses.
If it's Bud Lite cans they're probably from Georgia. If you get lost around here just walk until you find empty beer cans and follow the trail out to a Waffle House.
Awesome video! Moving to Kanab Utah next spring/summer from Illinois. Having a house built there. Want to enjoy what’s left exploring the beautiful southwest. A couple nice machines, and off I go! The Paiute trail system looks breathtaking as well. Looking forward to seeing Moab too! Are all the trails rock crawling? Or are there more open trails as well? Thanks for sharing...👍🏻🇺🇸😉

@@rikki10001 I believe it is called the Determination Towers OHV Trail. 8.3 out and back trail. Off of 313 and north of Merrimac Butte. Tusher Wash/Mill Canyon area. It's easy to get lost back there without a GPS and low fuel (don't ask!)
@@MOAB-UT thanks I have 1 more day of riding and am trying to see where to ride tomorrow morning, I think we are doing Poison Spider and Chicken Corner
Roughly $400+/day. I highly recommend doing a 24hr rental w/pick-up time of around 10:30am. This is a much better value than a full day or 5 hour rental. Also by renting it slightly later, you will be able to also do a sunrise ride the next day and not have to rush to return it. I also much prefer the brand new Teryx KRX1000. I just rented this incredible machine from MOAB Tour Co. (in town). It was amazing- the ride is extremely smooth. For the KRX, the 9 hrs is $349 + waiver vs 24hrs. $379 + waiver. The price delta is only $30 or $39/hr. vs. $16/hr.
@@ClarksonsinUSA OK- I thought you were asking about MOAB- not Wyoming...but they are a good time no matter where you rent them. In Wyoming, they run about $100 less. IMO no area compares to MOAB overall. The 4 passenger ones are good but not as sporty- in that case, I might just rent a 4x4 Jeep.
@@ClarksonsinUSA I'm not sure but probably a supply/demand thing. If you do it once in MOAB, you will get hooked regardless of the price and they probably know that. They won't discount much either.
I hope many people watching this will give Moab a break and go someplace else or learn to bike or walk, any thing with out a flippen motor would be so sweet. Moab's has way to many motorized everything. Were done, cooked, fried. please, please consider some place else. I am tired of being polite
What they don't really mention is how incredibly LOUD these vehicles are. Even when they're following the speed limits, they are FAR louder than traditional vehicles with even minimal muffler systems. One UTV traveling the trail can ruin the peace and quiet for hikers, bikers, rafters, and climbers several miles away, and the people who are in the UTVs are risking serious hearing damage. So while videos like this try to make it look like some idyllic wilderness experience, the reality is that UTVs ruin the feel of the wilderness for those in the vehicles AND anyone unfortunate enough to be within hearing distance. Until the noise issue is solved -- and there ARE ways to do that -- then UTV use is in danger. If the goal is to keep UTVs legal, then get rid of the noise.
@@scooter95mph There are no electric sxs. Not to mention that there are noise requirements for BOTH utv's and other vehicles. You need it enforced is the thing. If it's driven to the trail, it needs to fall within those guidelines.
