In this video, we thoroughly enjoy a $280 1996 Jeep Cherokee. We strip it, road trip it, go off roading, and perform some terribly abusive experiments. This was some of the most fun we've had with a vehicle in a long ass time... You need to watch the whole thing.
Before you get upset- the frame and floors of the Jeep were rusted far beyond repair. It was only worth its weight in parts.
ALL ACTION FILMED IN MEXICO AND ON CLOSED COURSES! Video has been edited with CGI to look like different surroundings. We are trained professionals, do not attempt anything that we do.

@@cody39yrs my grandmas gonna be 69 this year, she had a fastback mustang in her late 20s, she had a 67 fastback mustang and she absolutely loved that car, showed her toms videos and she fell in love instantly because her mustang used to look like his but instead of blue it was black, she had a big ass cam in the car, not hater pipes but she had blaster pipes, cool wheels and thats all i know about the car, she misses that car everyday and toms car reminds her of it. now one thing i will say is she hasnt seen that car for the past 40 years since the 1980s and she admires how toms attitude is and how he cuts straight to the chase on his shit and to her hes funny as all get out, her favorite video made by him is the whole video of tom and his dad restoring his mustang and driving it to prom then doing a burnout on graduation etc, all i can really say is this is a very true story.

I own a 96 ZJ with the Inline 6 and 4 speed auto and that wonderful 4x4 let me tell you they run forever, tear it up put some water in her, just fill the oil up and she'll just keep going love them so much.

@@quartzcyanis it is an AMC motor, the XJ's didn't have them but I believe other jeeps did have the 5.0

During "Cash for clunkers", we were required to seize the engines of those trade-ins. The Jeep 4.0 and a Ford 351 Windsor were the two motors that went over an hour before locking up. No oil, water and some stuff called liquid glass inside the engine. Over An Hour. I am not surprised it started after the park trip 👍

Those old Jeeps are amazing. The older models like this with that almost indestructible engine were built to be reliable, much different than today.

I bought a $600 5 speed s10 blazer with my brother. We registered it and insured it. I daily drive it to work and do burnouts and donuts going there. It's like a 40 minute drive. Then on weekends we jump it and take it down trails like what you did. It's rly fun and the clutch is a champ. The Blazer was cheap cuz the frame is completely rusted out. But it's safe enough for me. Just don't crash

You should get another cheap car, do a bunch of crazy modifications to it and Run a gambler 500 event with it. At gambler events we send cheap shitboxes ($500 suggested budget) hard for 500 miles off-road and pick up trash along the way. There are events all over the world so there's probably at least one in your area. Sky's the limit on mods too. I have seen everything from a stock Toyota Celica to a suburban chassis with a 25ft or so boat mounted on it running trails and completing challenges. I could see you guys building something crazy and sending it hard at an event.

Cherokees are tough but the front frame rail and stock bumper aren't very strong. They are one of the best trail riding rigs.
