I have a feeling that if we had met while we were kids, we would have hit it off instantly! I used to write random fan fiction and stories too, and I loved creating menus xD My addiction was drawing lionking characters XD SO this whole video just made me think of when i was a kid! I loved your creative bluetac ratties ^^
Sadly I moved too much as a child, from South Africa to Scotland back and forth. So I lost all of my childhood possessions through moving so much. Sad times xx I would have loved to show you them xD it was horrible!
haha neat! I loved lion king stuff, we should bring lion king back to life with our drawings together :D OMG Little mermaid is my FAVOURITE disney movie :D WE ARE AWESOME!
Doodle Date hey I was wondering....Steph I know that you are from the north east but I was wondering where about's . I'm from South Shields and used to go to Preston park with my primary too. Btw I love your videos 😘
Ahh Steph is the same age as me, I've seen a lot of other artists in our age range posting their old art and progression recently and it's really interesting to compare them all :D I used to do a lot of drawings with characters hidden behind doors and things like that too. These are great to look at and you two are hilarious as always!
Haha it's fun to see how people's art can change over the years :D My art went in a pretty different direction in my teens / early 20s, but's it's gone in a new direction in the past few years.. again. Makes you wonder where your art will be when you're 58!?
This is such a great video! It made me laugh a lot, and I hope you do more sketchbook tours! I love the drawing you did of the Egyptian couple, the lady was so sassy xD
I'd love too see your grandad's work! And please do share more of your sketchbooks if you want to, it's great fun to watch. In the meantime, we await the arrival of our skeletal alien overlords.
The two of you are great at drawing and you in spire me to draw. For the next doodle date can you try to do draw an elephant using the rubix cube colours please
I used to draw ghosts and I have a whole book filled with "drawing competitions" that me and my Nana (Grandma. I call her nana XD) would do. They were basically just drawings me and my Nana would do. I would choose the subject and I was the judge. I won every time.
I never really had a sketchbook when I was little, I always gave away my drawings to other people. Makes me a little sad because it's fun looking back at memories. I would buy the blossom power perfume XD. When I was little, me and my cousin did a paper zoo in 3D, we drew the animal then made like a small thing underneath so it stood up. We had every animal we could think of. I took it once to school and someone stole it from me, I was just in first grade when it happened.
I'd love to see more of these old sketchbook tours. It's strange how much those drawings reminded me of how I used to draw when I was younger haha!! xx
I too was obsessed with Rugrats at one time. I was 3, though. I'm so glad you showed us your Rugrats fan fictions, Steph! You and Adam should do fan art of Rugrats someday
I love ur guys videos you guys won't believe the amount of times I laughed in this and I am sooo excited for the new episodes of this! Maybe make it into a series! Also u might not reply but I hope u have a wonderful day (well I guess it is the evening now) and I am inspired by yours two to put more time into my drawing and on last thing............That her with the green Afro is killing the new style and actually a video suggestion is to use all ur pro markers or any brand u want to colour one drawing
Obsesstion, that is too cute! I sadly don't have anything before like 15, I had a terrible habit of ripping up things or blacking out pagesI didn't think were good enough, now I'm sad cause I have nothing to compare stuff too.
When I was a kid I had that exact fashion rubbing set. I remember the dresses , the one with the rings around the bottom on the dress used to be my fav of all time. OMG the nostalgia
I really hope we can find it! It has a history of relatives finding it and losing it again LOL. It always seems to turn up eventually though, hopefully it won't take another decade though XD
i would love to see your Papa's sketchbook!! you could use his pictures as scenes and you two could draw characters for them! maybe even put on a little play! so cute!
Love this video, it makes me wish I could find my drawing stuff from when I was a kid. I'm sure it's stuffed away somewhere in my parents' attic. I also used to make interactive type drawings with paper folds and I remember trying to make a few simple pop up cards. I definitely had a few of those stencil kits too- so many memories. Adam's additional commentary is also perfect, hah.
This is so cool to watch. It shows that anyone started somewhere and that you shouldn't be discouraged that your drawing is not perfect. Stephanie - your obsession was Rugrats and birds. Mine was Looney Tunes, Tom & Jerry... and birds. There is something with birds and 8-year-old girls ;). I used to "write" fanfics in my head, imagining adventures, backstories for these characters and only draw illustrations to them more like a comic book where. I had a whole 2 A4 folders with about 600 pages of illustrations. I remember re-drawing them all the time until I got bored with it and writing a page number. This is also the time where I got my first OC. She came to life because for years I thought that Jerry was a girl. Where I live Jerry is not a legitimate name. So automatically she was also my first Mary-Sue being awesome at everything and being related to Jerry. (Don't stone me.) Unfortunately, I tossed most of it because I was so embarrassed with them. Now I kinda regret this because I wold look at it again and redraw them to see any improvement and to make me feel batter about my art. But on the other side, this would save me from cringing. Anyway that was so fun to watch. Thank you for making videos. :)
hiya Steph and Adam! I'm always so happy when you guys post new videos! Whenever I don't feel like drawing, i just watch one of your videos and BAM, pencils and filled sketchbooks everywhere!! :D thank you for saving my (possible) future!
Yesterday I found some old drawing scans from when I first started drawing and it really helped me see how much I've improved so like. This video read my mind. That's scary. You guys have to be mentalists wow.
The sticker that reminded Adam of Meeko was of a character from the Bamboo Bears. I loved that show! They also sold biscuits with Bamboo Bears characters on them
This was the CUTEST! The art was great and the commentary was hilarious. I would love to see more of your old art Steph! I think my favorite ones were all the little animal pictures that had matching accessories and scenes. It took me back to when I used to make paper dolls :-)
I remember habbo, I used to be obsessed with writing books and illustrating them, I'm now in year 11 doing gcse art and then going college to do art and design and animal care ❤ would love to see more videos like this, I love you both so much. I was one of your first subscribers it's crazy ❤❤
I really want to see that pillow in the background. All artsy 90s kids must do the same things like with stickers for example I still do that and always did that too
ahhh you are so lucky to have your old childhood drawings! We moved houses several times and I lost them or just gave away. The earliest ones I have are from when I was 15 but maybe my dad has some at his house.
Oh diddle is soo cool! I'm from Germany and when I was a kid everybody collected diddle-stuff. We had folders full of diddle-sheets and figures, plush toys, pencils etc. I can say diddle is a symbol for my childhood.
I loved this sketchbook tour! It's awesome to see where you've been skill wise. I was also wondering if you could do a video drawing some master paintings like Degas, Spranger, or Ingres, or using some of the poses in them for your characters.
This was EXACTLY me. I would get all frustrated looking at other people art and I thought I had to draw a certain way and now I am confident with my own art
I can't believe you know diddl, I didn't know anyone outside of Germany knew these! I used to collect tons of their notebooks and plushies and for some reason we were all collecting sheets from the different notebooks because they all had different motifs and some even had a smell, i still have a whole folder of those! Also idk it's really interesting to see someone's childhood art, I'd like to see more of yours!
I just want to say that you both really inspired my artwork. I stumbled across your channel last year and I really really really love your channel. Keep up the good work.
You guys have never failed to put a smile on my face, this video had me laughing so much!! XD Really brightens up my Sunday night to watch your new video, thank you for the lols :D
Steph! I didn't realize we were so close in age! I was born in '94. :) This video makes me feel old, and even reading the comments is a bit surprising! It's great that you're inspiring people with your artwork. Maybe I'll start up an art channel; I'd love to get back into the swing of things. Curse you, art block!!
You guys are always so funny and entertaining! I love your artwork!! You inspired me to make art videos! Thank you!!! Also, great video! Meeks I think is the raccoon from Pocahontas btw and I've never played Habbo Hotel, but I have seen it and I'm pretty sure it still exists!
I still have some blocks of Diddl letter paper 💖💖💖 I started to use them again when I send out happy mail 😁. Oh and I was like 30 when I bought them lol 😂. It's so cute you have all your kids drawings! I don't have anything. Not even from high school.
We were literally the same kid! I used to love making menus and I made little paper worlds with houses and shops and everything opens and had some details what were removable with tape. I put them in notebooks and regular paper. I spent so much time on there! But I never saved them 😭😭
12:27 Wow! It's the exact same for me! I've only been drawing animals for so many years and I've only just started with drawing humans. I've always thought that every good artist drew people for so long, but turns out that not all do! This actually really inspired me ^^
yOU NEED TO REDRAW THESE
We might pick some for a future video sometime! :D
Weebs TheMemer ya
Weebs TheMemer yes !!!!

I have a feeling that if we had met while we were kids, we would have hit it off instantly! I loved your creative bluetac ratties ^^
Ahhh have you kept any of your old drawings? I'd love to see your lion king doodles heheh :D
Sadly I moved too much as a child, from South Africa to Scotland back and forth. So I lost all of my childhood possessions through moving so much. Sad times xx I would have loved to show you them xD it was horrible!
TokiBuni I seriously drew the same thing!! XD lion King stuff all the time. or little mermaid
haha neat! I loved lion king stuff, we should bring lion king back to life with our drawings together :D OMG Little mermaid is my FAVOURITE disney movie :D WE ARE AWESOME!

Lauren Kilsby some because I just think why was I proud of this
Awe I’m so glad that you finally got to film you looking through your grandad’s sketchbook

OMG I cannot BELIVE they are not at a million yet! Come on guys, help them get there. They really deserve it. 💘
Adam's additional commentary is also perfect, hah.
its so nice to look back at old drawings, i just found some yesterday and its crazy how different and how my style has changed. Loved the video :)
Adam's commentaries really cracked me up! Love seeing how creative you've been in your early years, hope you'll share the rest too :)
This is so cool to watch. It shows that anyone started somewhere and that you shouldn't be discouraged that your drawing is not perfect.

This makes me want to go through my old art! I remember one time for thanksgiving I drew "Turkey-wan Kenobi" because I was/am obsessed with Star Wars.
They also sold biscuits with Bamboo Bears characters on them
I used to go to Preston park all the time with my school we must be from around the same area Steph ☺️
This was the CUTEST! The art was great and the commentary was hilarious. I would love to see more of your old art Steph! I think my favorite ones were all the little animal pictures that had matching accessories and scenes. It took me back to when I used to make paper dolls :-)
