- Hello Art Friends!! In a recent Patreon Art Stream, our viewers said they'd be interested in having a look through this BIG old box of our sketchbooks! Thankfully Adam was able to lift this box from its storage place, there is no way I could carry that thing!! I'm sitting in a strange corner of the house to film this too, as our desk spaces/bed is too small and cramped! We'll probably have to revisit some of these in a future video because oh my gosh, THERE'S SO MANY. Plus there's even more hiding around the house somewhere or other too??

Ah... watching this I teared up a little, I'm so happy that I can still follow you guys on your art journeys! I've been watching for a while and it was emotional to see some of the stuff from the older videos! Seeing your videos makes me want to do art again (for me) I’ve had a huge burnt out doing just commissions for almost 2 years, didn’t do much art this whole year but I’m definitely gonna fix that, slowing starting to get back into it!

Don’t put yourselves down, we all start somewhere and Adam and Steph are both very talented at art. The colouring on those plants in the first book is really good. And Adam has come a long way since he started with art. He draws people really well.

If you think steohs sketchbook was bent you should see my a level art one with a black price of card stuck to all pages and it’s not even full up yet but sits at a solid acute angle

Don't get me wrong--I know that youtube doesn't show every part of your lives. I know there must be hard times; I know that no relationship is perfect. But you guys are GOALS. You do so much art together, have been together so long; I love how kind you are to each other & how much fun you share with these videos. As an artist, it must be great to be able to have a partner who also loves art by your side. Whatever the style, whatever the skill level, whatever the amount--as long as you're having fun, art is great to share.

I know I'm coming in here a bit late, but a suggestion for any unfinished sketchbooks is to cut out the drawings from it and stick them in scrap books to condense the pile and so you can use the paper that didn't get used! I did that and it made for a good book of memories

OwO so manny sketchbooks and things... this is such a great opportunity to link to some of your older videos, wink wink. I am extremely curious to see what is in that secret Una sketchbook!!!! and #Ineedindigonow looked so good all the backgrounds and stuff... I find it amusing that Adam is shy about showing some of his older artwork, even thou when Steph had shown some of her old art, he said he wished he also had some to show.... so of course I would love to take a look at Adams old sketchbooks hohoho... of course only to see how much he has improved and to bee blown away by his enormous progress...

it for Faber Castell ALSO made a bunch for sale on wish- Many times the
factories are the same, they just keep the parts for manufacturing,
probably with different ingredients, I bet you could get one and test

This was fun. I'd love to see all the sketchbooks you're comfortable showing us. As a beginner artist myself, I also greatly enjoy watching old sketchbooks. But it's most fun if people can look back on it fondly or at least appreciate in hindsight what they've learned since then. So I can understand if Adam does not want to show his older art.

this truly was a trip down doodle date memory lane, it's so much fun to see stuff from your older videos! I'd love to see the sketchbooks in more detail!
I have a big plastic tub like that where I have squirreled away bits and bobs from my childhood, it has heaps of notes that were passed in class, m.a.s.h games, doodles, old school note books that I just mucked about it, stuff from the early 90s to 2005 when I graduated from high school.
Those window/arch shaped post it notes are so cute!! Makes me inspired to fill up some older notebooks with rubbish thin paper with scrapbook type things
Scrapbooking is such a fun way to fill cheap sketchbooks! You get the joy of using the sketchbook for the aesthetic, with none of the woes of using the paper LOL

i'm swiss, and diddl was also really popular over here. we used to get the blocks of paper and then trade the different sheets among each other to collect. i had a bunch of the plushies too.
aaaa I'm always hyped to find other people that knew Diddl! He wasn't a thing in the UK, so I used to really indulge in his merch when I visited family in Germany haha!

The rugrats fanfiction reminded me that I wrote fanfiction about enid blytons magic faraway tree. Also illustrated. Pretty sure it was binned after I moved out but this way I can remember it as better than it probably was!

You should make a big portfolio that goes by years of all your drawings it would be fun to see. I did that with mine and it was so much fun an now I have a chunky sketchbook that holds all my old drawing and I can look back to them whenever I want.

One of my cockatiels is named Indie. Officially it’s short for Indominous Birb (the other bird is Tiel Rex Aka Rexie), since she has sassy Dino chicken energy. But sometimes she likes to take off and explore the house and then I call her Indiana, like Indiana Jones. 🤣🦖🐓
