  • Welcome back, for another day upon the high, S-Line iron! We'd start the day up in Wildwood, following a train of mixed Floridian commodities southbound, while documenting some historical landmarks and towns along the way. Some of CSX's new corporate graphics would make an appearance this day, which added that extra spice to what would've otherwise been a daily manifest freight train. It was an interesting set of topics to follow, document and research, that I am pretty pleased with the outcome of, so I hope y’all get something out of today's video, whether that be a laugh, some new information, or just some general enjoyment. Let’s face it, I’m no professional, but railroading is my lifelong hobby. To those who are still watching after all this time, I appreciate all of the support, since I’m simply doing what I love. I attempt to upload railroading videos as often as possible, being limited by basic lively boundaries, whether it be school, work, or simply a packed schedule regarding the family.

    I hope that the content which I produce is somewhat enjoyable. My videos primarily show what railfanning is truly about. Whether that includes my friends, jokes from our boredom, or simply the trains themselves. I’m hoping that along this journey, new viewers will become regular fans of this channel, as I’m showing some things which others may neglect. Besides, I’m just doing what I love and it’s always nice to share that with people who share those interests. In the end, whatever I’m producing is meant for trainwatchers and railroad enthusiasts of all ages.
    Thanks for Watching!!!

    Excellent explanation of the "nuts and bolts" workings of the railroad operations which only makes your "fun/fanning" effort that much more enjoyable!

      Well, that’s good to hear. Especially in recent years, some of the most simple things have become a little extra complicated, needed or not. I’ve always tried to follow through with those explanations start to finish. Thanks for the comment!

      Well, obviously, there are no trains there anymore, but it was very interesting to see where they used to run through.

    We're headed south to Savannah and Florida for a couple of days, and we're looking to do some railfanning while there. I know a few spots; Dade city, Wildwood, Lakeland (We would go to Plant City but we most likely won't as it'll be a waste of time due to how sparse traffic is there) and a few others. Along with that, we're hoping to go down to the FEC mainline and catch a few trains there. I was wondering if you knew some good places for Railfanning in the central Florida area, along with locations along the FEC. Thanks!

      I appreciate your help with all that stuff, really. Even just to make a simple outline, you often need the real thing. Thanks Gray!

    Excellent video, Kotabeaner! Very enjoyable and informative. I'm curious about the Tropicana cars in M453's consist. Wouldn't they normally go south on M443?

      @kotabeaner  2 роки тому

      Thank You, always glad to hear that! There weren’t any Tropicana cars on M453, though, you may be confusing them with the small cut of Union Pacific reefers (ARMN), which are not part of Tropicana’s owned or leased fleet. There’s plenty of other perishable business in the state, and those reefers, which could be carrying anything from potatoes to beer, could have been bound for Winston or Miami off this train.
