joe preece to make things interesting I have now done both City and Guilds 2391 and the EAL. Personally I think the EAL is slightly harder and in fact gives a better indication of an electrician knowledge of BS7671 as a whole and it's requirements for initial inspection and commissioning of electrical installations and the testing and inspection of existing installations. Breaking the course into two parts along with exams and the practical exams is in my opinion much better. It's interesting how many Electricians I have met over the years who have the 2391 and do not know the difference between commissioning and periodic testing. It's finally says it all when City and Guilds are now doing the course in two parts. 😁
@adammorgan6836 they would say to make it up to date, others would say to make it easier. I personally think it was to bring the numbers up a bit. But an actual fact is it makes City and Guilds more money as the assessments are marked digitally or by training centres own staff now instead of examiners paid by C&G.
Hello Sparky Ninja, I wanted to ask some advice if you get a sec. I currently have 2392 qualification and due to work commitments, I find it impossible to take out a week to upgrade to 2391. I have taken 18th Edition Update course online with an assessment @ NICEIC centre which worked well. I am currently seeking an e-learning platform for the learning with a day at a local centre to take the exam / practical. Can you advise if you know of anything that would help me achieve this. Thank you in advance.

Are these videos to do with the online multiple choice?
Thanks for the reply, I know the previous course written exam was more in depth right? Why was this changed? To make it easier?

Maybe 3 different ways for each calculation that could come up in the exam
is this similar to the Advanced Competence Assessment with select here in scotland?

👍
Not worth watching as sound too low. A shame.
ok I have just found the old video, I'm going to re-upload it with an audio boost.. see if that's better.
I have my volume set to max and I can barely hear you. Come on. you're talking like 100% opposite to americans, who shout 24/7
I can't do much about old videos now I'm afraid.
Thanks
