love the ideas here! i realized while watching that the ability to pause and edit while writing can really feed this habit of avoiding negatives. it's something i do a lot, and maybe i can be more conscious now if i'm just throwing out "bad" ideas or if i'm making honest improvement on the existing kernel.
Exactly. Having the ability to erase and start over can feed our perfectionist tendencies in ways that aren't always helpful -- and sometimes just investing in what's in front of you is so important. We also have such a culture of self-flagellation (especially in the classical arts) that it's so difficult to find that feeling of simply believing in an idea enough to pursue it -- especially at the most nascent stages.
