I used to listen a lot to grizzly bear when i was 18 during autumn. Realizing i would never feel again how i felt when listening to them the first time. But i didnt know about this song and its the most powerful ever. To listen to them again like its something brand new to my ears made me euphoric.
I had the same feeling when I first listened to Yellow House, in late high school. Found their song, Easier, from an [adult swim] bump. It made me feel a sort of nostalgia for things I never was there for. It was beautiful
@403 Forbidden Well stated. There are both amazing and magical in their own way. This is more melodic and Cathartic. Diplo's is more cheerful and euphoric
thanks for sharing this thought, Ive always felt this way but never really gotten much of a response when I've shared this great band with friends, id say about 50/50.
22 (or more) people were too impatient to pay attention! This songs a production win. It's beautiful and if I made a movie-- this song's on the soundtrack. They are classy. Thank you Grizzly Bear.
My favorite band is Grizzly Bear. I haven't seen them in concert, nor do I see that happening anytime soon (financial struggles), but I want them to know I adore them, and I hope you guys keep doing what you're doing forever, because you do it the best.
Droste vocals always heartfelt and powerful. Chris Taylor, always playing what's needed. Chris bear, making everything interesting. Dan, making the sound GB official. Great work
Everytime I listen to this band it bring tears to my eyes...Wish I found out about this band before painted ruins ! Well, better late then never as they say !!
This is beyond brilliant. Emotional and yet mysterious. Such a shame it didn't make it on shields but then again, it doesn't fit the vibe of the album. This song is not B-side material it's too good for that. Perhaps it could be a whole new album following this same flow.
+Merlijn Toby And to think that it's a bonus track too. Grizzly Bear has a unique way of getting to people. I think it's beautiful to see the change Grizzly Bear has had on you. They changed me too.
Merlijn Toby That's sick you got the B Sides on Vinyl. I first got into Grizzly Bear maybe 2-3 years ago when I first heard "Two weeks" and a couple other songs from Veckatimest off of Pandora. I "legally obtained" the album (don't worry I have changed my ways now that I've grown up a bit) and listened to it on a family car trip. I was totally spaced out for most of it but I remember a crazy cool vibe from "Southern Point" and being totally tripped out by "Dory". Later in the trip I decided to give it a proper listen as we drove through the wavy hills and white mountains of South Dakota. We were driving to see Mt. Rushmore. People sometimes write off states like that as having nothing but it was honestly one of the most beautiful places I'd ever been. Whenever I listen to the album now, I think of how it felt to look out the window listening to it and experience pure bliss. Grizzly Bear has definitely impacted my life. I'm not sure if you know, but if you don't you should check out "Department of Eagles" which is Grizzly Bear's lead singer's band before Grizzly Bear formed. It sounds like you're a pretty big fan, and as such you absolutely need to hear at least these tracks "Ghost in Summer Clothes" (real version and demo version) and "Piano in the Bathtub". Let me know what you think.
Been a fan of Grizzly Bear since late 2008, first time listening to this song. They never cease to amaze me with their heart wrenching lyrics and beautiful music. Wow.
The thing about diplo's remix is that it changes the genre therefore changing the demographic. Individuals yearning for an upbeat song will side with the remix while others seeking the slower paced Indy tune will find the original to their liking...the verdict is that the two songs cannot be compared to one another as better or worse is subjective to the genre of music one affiliates with.
This isn't Grizzly Bear best work but i think the remix didn't help at all. I gave up immediately at the cringy melodic drop. I like some of Diplo works too but not the remix.
I don't think it should have been on shields. Idk where it would fit. I think it's a great start to B-Sides compilation though?! Thanks guys, it grooves real hard. :)
This song is amazing, but it definitely was meant to be listened to on vinyl. I bought "B-Sides" this weekend on vinyl and this song is magical with the speakers on full blast
Chorus: "I don't wanna be, I don't wanna know the lies Shouldn't ever be what it was, alright I'll choose to believe what's right Even if in the end I'm blind I don't wanna be, I don't wanna know the lies Couldn't ever be what it was, alright
I haven't stopped listening to this for "Two Weeks"
😂😂😂👍🏼”Att-att-att!!!!!” Hahahahahahha. Great Dad Joke
You deserve the whole love ❤️ ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ anyone could give you
Shut up

Totally!!!

I DONT WANNA BE, I DONT WANNA KNOW THE LIIIIIIES
There is so much soul into this song, idk why some people choose the diplo remix over this lol
@403 Forbidden Well stated. There are both amazing and magical in their own way. This is more melodic and Cathartic. Diplo's is more cheerful and euphoric
because its extremely slow and you need to be patient
Dood 4 focc'n real.
@@aintnoway i think the slow build up makes the drop so worth it, but hey that’s just me
I got through four seconds of the remix, I'm actually baffled by how little it has in common with this wonderful little gem
Diplo didn't bring me here
This is stupendous and it's a B-side, what even.
Most life changing song I've ever heard, and I went to college for music. 🙏
thanks for sharing this thought, Ive always felt this way but never really gotten much of a response when I've shared this great band with friends, id say about 50/50.
they recorded at night in Marfa, Texas. lots of crickets out there in the desert
22 (or more) people were too impatient to pay attention!
This songs a production win.
It's beautiful and if I made a movie-- this song's on the soundtrack. They are classy.
Thank you Grizzly Bear.
Favourite song, favourite band
There just needs to be a fully produced version of this song.
i actually love the rawness of it, but i do wish the last part at 4:08 kept was longer

Droste vocals always heartfelt and powerful.
Chris Taylor, always playing what's needed.
Chris bear, making everything interesting.
Dan, making the sound GB official.
Great work
its so nice to see them ushering in more jazz influence, even if its very subtle. what a band these guys are
Haunting.
This song is absolutely stunning. I almost cried when I heard it, haha. You guys never cease to amaze me, great work x
I absolutely adore this song
The end though!
close to song of the year
I gotta say this shit gets intense kinda hooked to this song
Such a good song... So many layers
Everytime I listen to this band it bring tears to my eyes...Wish I found out about this band before painted ruins ! Well, better late then never as they say !!
I found out about them in 2020… technically not though cause that was just Two Weeks. So I really started listening to them this year
My favourite song in the whole world.
its beautiful that u like slow emotional stuff , the best
This is magical. Also, I'm pretty sure Chris Bear is a genius.

A very moving piece of music. It’s music like this that really resonates with the individual. Truly wonderful.
i came here from the diplo remix and sweet mother of god
i regret nothing
I couldnt agree more.

I get goosebumps every time I play this.
It feels like a beginning of a whole new album, on another level of brilliance
Been a fan of Grizzly Bear since late 2008, first time listening to this song. They never cease to amaze me with their heart wrenching lyrics and beautiful music. Wow.
same takes me back when i used to be 17, hearing this ten years later for the first time hit me with a wave of nostalgia i can't describe
The more I listen the more I fall in love.
After listening to the diplo remix hundreds of times, hearing this for the first time is just surreal.
Thanks Diplo for helping me discover such an amazing band
My bro been listening to this since it came out , he’s a genius at finding good music
This song is fantastic but the drums are mind-blowing incredible!
Just fell in love with this bands music.
i love everything Grizzly bear. i also love Daniel Rossen, his solo shit, the department of eagles... EVERYTHING
Amber Skies Word.
Amber Skies no one does it like you lol
This is truly an all-time favorite of mine
Its a beautiful song :) Beautiful songs get remixed into equally beautiful pieces of work. It's pieces of heart.
Feels more experimental than others... Love its subtlety
Truly unreal musicians..
Never until now i realize how good this is

This has to be a joke
Actually I think the remix is very depressing.
This just happens to be even more somber due to less instruments
This isn't Grizzly Bear best work but i think the remix didn't help at all. I gave up immediately at the cringy melodic drop. I like some of Diplo works too but not the remix.

What a fucking song.
Timeless. Truly a work of art.
The outro is phenomenal. Really hope there's more like it if they make a new album!
Fucking beautiful

I don't think it should have been on shields. Idk where it would fit. I think it's a great start to B-Sides compilation though?! Thanks guys, it grooves real hard. :)

This song is amazing, but it definitely was meant to be listened to on vinyl. I bought "B-Sides" this weekend on vinyl and this song is magical with the speakers on full blast
