Yo they are not spawning at all I waited 1 hour and I built everything right
For those who play in multiplayer world and found the problem. whether it's working then stopped for some reason or it never worked to begin with. You may found the same problem as mine. First of all, you must understand that most of the hostile mob will despwan immediately if the player is too far away. I'm not talking about you, who's standing in the nether. I'm talking about other player who's currently in the overworld. And why is this the case? Well, looks like the ones who detect the distance isn't the mob but the player. That's mean when there's no player in the overworld, the mob in loaded chunk can't be detected so they won't despawn but if there's player, in this case, your friends, in the overworld then they(the mob) got detected and despawn because they are in loaded chunk (from entity teleporting through portal) and more than 128(im not sure about the number) blocks away from player. What happen to your farm is the wither skeletons are spawn normally under you (on the platform at fortress) then walk through the portal, ends up in overworld then it's got detected that they're more than 128 blocks away from your friend so they despawn immediately. How it should work is that when they got teleport to overworld they shouldn't be detected as too far and continue to exist. Just a check that this is the same problem you're dealing with. 1st, the skeleton is spawning when you're up there, I use freecam mod to check. 2nd they aggro the golem and walk through the portal. 3rd they're not present at all (or some and stop after some time) on the killing area.
For those who just want to know how to fix this thing. You can't, as far as I know. It will only work when no one is in the overworld.

hi ive built something similar to this but with pigmen and if i have account sitting in overworld portal bridge then the farm works fine, not surue if that will fix or not
@@koloignanov3091 yeah, that should work because you’re in the area that’s not too far from the mob so they won’t despawn after got to overworld! but for me if i got 2 account sitting in overworld and nether, I’d just make a kill chamber in overworld instead of getting them(mob) back to nether. that would free up mob limit and as the result, get more mob to spawn.
there are plugins that stop mobs from despawning for a short period of time after exiting a nether portal. not viable for everyone cause host might not allow it or smthin but its an option
The wither skeleton stuck in the portal with the door and won't fall in the killing chamber
IF THE FARM IS NOT WORKING AND YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHY, MOVE THE RED BLOCKS DOWN ONE!. i had no idea why it wasn't working and I did this then it started working, hope this helps!!

multiplayer or singleplayer world?
placing buttons wasnt necessary since the platform you built on top of the nether roof was high enough so that only the nether brock platform we built would be allowed to spawn things

How did you make it work? I did everything right.. but not evena single wither skeleton, i even made sure of everything before going into the next step
@@sungamarcus6457 you sure you build it in soul sand valley biome? All i did was following the guide, nothing else. Maby you messed up with the coordinates with portal?
there is a thing called bounding box that includes the whole fortress in a square or whatever the fortress looks like . If u build the platform out of that the farm will not work.
For those planning to use this in their builds on a Server, if the Wither Skeletons are not going through the final portal, applying an additional Iron Golem behind the portal with the Cob Webs allowing vision for the Wither Skeleton to agro the Golem fixes this issue.
Thank you! It works in 1.20.6. You have to move the red glass blocks down one level. You don’t have to move anything else!
If you have a looting sword and sweeping edge sword make sure to hit the skeleton when they are one block above you. The enchanted sword effects won’t work if the skeleton are any higher.

Well… i built everything as shown, tripple checked everything etc. … the portals are correctly linked, mobs spawn on the platform and go trough the first portal. But for some reason the skeletons dont walk further on the bridge in the overworld… when i go trough the portal with the door to see whats the issue the skeletons just stand in the cobweb and dont move further, only when they see me. Waited 30 minutes at the farm but same problem… any suggestions?

Hey yall I found a solution that will hopefully work! I was having the same problem the skeletons would just stand in the cobweb but what fixed it was to make an iron golem on the other portal (the one in the video with slab stairs) make an iron golem on the other side of that portal so the skeletons will aggro to that side of the bridge. I added another row of cobwebs on the other side of the bridge to slow them down even more. Another issue I stupidly found myself in and what may help is to make sure your under 128 blocks away from the netherrack platform, but I did this due to my own mistake. Hopefully this fixes it for you!

Why didn’t you wait until you had elytra first? Or bring food, or stuff to make a portal? There are so many things wrong with this

no it wont. it wouldnt do anything. the farm is the lowest point you render, where mobs can spawn (cuz your so high up). So spawnproofing the fortress below, where nothing will spawn anyways wont do anything. the only spwanproofing that would help is every block in your render distance between you and the farm but thats so minimal and useless you wouldnt feel the difference

The monster only spawn 30 blocks away from the player and needs a minimum of 24 blocks to be active and search for the target (iron golem).
Maybe the server has some changes to the mobs behavior
I have a minecraft realms world with a friend, and I built the farm but the skeletons don't spawn, what could I do? It took me a long time making this farm and I would like to know if there is any solution, your videos are great.
if it's on a server (realms in your case), you'll have to have someone AFK in both the nether and the overworld! Basically, whats happening is that the skeletons are going through the portal and immediately despawning because they're nowhere near your friend.

@@kidd_sai yes, someone has to be where the wither skeletons are funneling through to the kill chamber or it won’t work (until it’s only you online)
And sadly a chunk loader won’t work, as any mobs outside of a players 128 block distance immediately despawn. So the wither skeletons will still despawn since chunk loaders don’t work exactly like a player (they load chunks but they don’t have mobs spawn in said chunks unless a player is nearby)

Ive been following this tutorial for a minute. I swapped where the iron golem is to the portal with the slab stairs to draw and put the cobwebs there to so they’d aggro because when I put it before they would lose aggro on the golem. Server (not realm) im playing on updated to 1.2.6 and now it doesnt work. I tried moving the red glass down a block too. Any tips?
Press F3+B to see the hitboxes. Make sure wither skeletons eyes can see the iron golem

Yes, but maybe you will need to spawnproof a little bit in the nether wastes biome

Would this farm work if I were to build it on the wrong Y co-ordinate? For example if I didn't build it 1 block lower than the highest point in the fortress
Yes, but you need to check if mobs are spawning in the fortress
can i change the nether brick with another solid block like stone brick?
no
you can't. nether brick is easy to find tho
will it increase the efficiency if i use wither roses to prevent zombie piglins/blazes from spawning?
You can't plant wither roses on nether bricks. And you can't use other type of block in this farm

What if the highest spot of the nether fortress is surrounded by blocks, by just mining the 14x14 zone does it works still?
Yes, but the area isn't 14x14! It's 30x30 because are 14 in all directions and 2 chests in the middle

what if there isn't any chunk borders on the fortress itself, (like the nearest chunk border is a few blocks off the fortress
Everything works fine but there are no withers going for the iron golem or they are not spawning

does this apply to minecraft Realms Also? me and my friend are having this problom. when 1 player afks in nether nothing happens, but when other player in near the bride wither skeletons come storming in.

so i had a problem with them spawning on the paltform. i am in the soul sand valley and went around and spawn proofed all the nether brick just in case but still nothing spawns on the platform itself. any ideas?

i tried without the eggs and it worked slow, i added the eggs and now its broken

All my portals are linked right, if I go in the neither they are walking though the portal but when I stand at the spot nothing is coming down?

Hi bro, everything works, beside, the wither skeletons spawn but they dont get into the last portal...
in 1.21 non player entities also can create a portal if they're enter a portal. so u shouldn't lit the portal on the spawning chamber, finish the rest of the farm, and lit the portal on the spawning chamber. consider to break the bedrock for easy access
my withers donot can enter the portal they are literaly in but they are dont going to the nether :c

It makes them accumulate
@@KelpMC it slows them enough so they can go through the second portal because there is a timer on how fast they can go through
i spawn proofed the whole area, checked the heights and light levels, but nothing was coming through.... Nothing. even after 30 minutes. i spent hours spawnproofing with another player and then building it alone and all i got was frustration, a dysfunktional farm and wasted time, that i can never get back.
If you are in multiplayer, you need another player in the overworld near the portals or they will despawn

It is working but you have to be alone on the Server and it is not consistent. You have to spawn proof a large area to get more efficiency.
