My wife and I think you are awesome!! You need that boat if you are spending over 50k to 100k PHP / month! Usually, I would agree that a boat is a money hole but you are spending all that money renting. I think you can quickly recover your expense buy doing all those boat diving experiences you mentioned and you increase your Dive facility's operational capabilities👍 When you do your cost savings analysis just make sure you charge enough to cover regular maintenance 😊 I know it goes without saying, but its something that is hard to do with consistency 😄 Way to Go, Man!! Yes, you are very inspiring 👍🤙 My wife and I are in our 50's and you inspire us😄👍 We are definitely gonna dive with you guys when we go back to visit family in a couple years🤿👌🇵🇭🇺🇸
Glad you found the "one", your dream dive boat! You're a man of action, going after what you want once you set your mind to it. Way to go, Justin, wishing you success in your business. All the best!
@@eddieBoxer 5m pesos?? Are you crazy? You just completely made that number up bud. My friend is the seller and you didn't talk to him lol. Even boats twice this size aren't 5m.
You indeed are inspiring. I'm not in my thirties, more than twice that. And my entrepreneurial are behind me. But I do want to come and do some diving with you next February:)
We both kind of think the same way. In my 30's I told friends and family that I was going to build inflatable boats and that I was going to build my own 40' cabin inflatable boat. Everyone thought that I was crazy. 10 years later I completed my boat and built up a successful manufacturing business. I can really relate to your journey.
Looks good Justin. Lots of potential on that last boat. We usually survey them, but it's probably not an option there. If the hull is solid and easily repairable, you replace the engine through a good mechanic, and the cooling system is good, the rest is just renovation. I just restored a yacht over 2 years. Yours shouldn't take long.
Awesome show thank you for sharing. Boat is amazing thinking ahead great job. You’ll have a lot of fun with it. Have a wonderful day and congratulations 🎊🎉🎈🍾
Love that you found the right boat for the right price that still leaves you a lot of room for customization. Sounds like it was worth the search to finally find it. fun and interesting process - I hope to see the boat finished and up and running when I’m there in January! John
I know what they say about selling your boat being a happy day.I had a Catalina 30 sailboat that had for 15 years. I sold it in January 2022 just before coming to the Philippines. I still miss my boat.
This was a good one Justin. I have started watching more of your videos and this one hooked me. I subscribed and I am looking forward to seeing what you come up with in the future.
I have had my boat for almost 10 years never regretted buying it lived on it in a marina in South East England my mate and his wife live on it now cheapest 0ne bedroom apartment in South East England 😊
I did wonder about the dive boats you were using, and agree in the long run the investment of your own dive boat is a good one! I am sure you will make it the 'Critter Hunter Carrier'. Keep going Justin, your dream is alive and running, but won't you need two boats? Lol..
Justin I enjoyed the video about your star link set up and how quick and easy that turned out to be. I stayed at Sierra last April just before your shop opened and I am considering staying there this January. Is your star link available for Sierra clients to use? it could extend my stay by allowing me to work online. I am a scuba diver. thanks John
Finn’s boat mission is charter long distance cruise, dive in and live in luxury. Justin’s boat is for short day dive in mission, local boat is best, repair and maintain an e is affordable.
The 2 days you remember in life. The day you bought the boat and the day you sold it! So true. But there can be a lot of good times in between. Hope u get that.
Insurance! Make sure you, the boat and your business are covered. I would suggest if it is possible and affordable have it surveyed by boat builder/mechanic and also learn all the little things you will need to have to make it work. There is another old adage; Sink your savings in a boat. Take care.
Yo "J"...............you got a lot going on with the dive shop, but please continue to focus on your health:) Is it me, or are you slacking on that? Luv u bro
I just assumed that it was to protect the wooden ship builders. I was intrigued about what he said about new regs demanding fiber glass trims and was wondering if it was the beginning of something beautiful cause God only knows those wooden ones are mostly falling apart. I can't count how many times I wore life jackets on those boat rides only cause it looked like it was about the fall apart at any moment. If they are allowing fiberglass now or anticipated soon, I'd hold off. Fiberglass lasts forever and is a far better boat material than wood.@@bayareatanders

I hate to be the Debbie Downer but I would not be buying that boat. If you're finding soft spots on the floor, how many soft spots are there on the hull? Also, where's the bathroom? I know it's set up pretty well but I would not buy that boat.
A Yatch is a money pit unless you are a multi millionaire. A would built a solar powered motor boat since the technology is now available. Lots of electric motor available from China. Silent Yacht has some but expensive.
Make it happen, Captain hey would you like to float the boat first and have about 40 drunk guys out there, jumping up and down and see how the boat takes it before you put an engine in it if you get it to your area float a monster mooring ball with a shit ton of concrete anchored at the bottom when you think you have enough concrete, double it One last thing I have a friend that had a boat there and he had a Filipino live on the boat to guard overnight and actually stopped a dude from stealing his prop.
