Most people show HOW to do something. Jesus, you show HOW and WHY! Not only does that put you in another league among teachers, that makes learning so easy to grasp! Kudos, my friend!
Finally! I found a professional Photoshop Tutor, who KNOWS what he's talking about! I love how you are backing up your methods with facts! Thank you Sir!
Thank you! I was stuck in the process of digitizing my family photos (about 2.5 thousands of scanned b&w and color negatives and positives, made since mid-40s till 90s, on different films of soviet era, in different lightning conditions and with different developing). I tried to approach this task with "old color correcting technique" and as you can imagine, this is not the fastest technique to process thousands of photos. Your lessons about color correction, sharpening, removing old film color casts gave me more motivation to continue.
Thanks for the great tip! I had a 650(!) photo project for my wife with nearly all containing color casts. I was doing it one at a time in LR and quickly going out of my mind. I found your video, tried it on a few and this is what I wanted. I wrote an action script and completed the entire project in a few hours. I was still tedious, but it beat my mind-numbing approach.
I'm a long-time PS user, and I never even saw the auto button. It wasn't in my consciousness. Who knew? You know more about Photoshop than any other teacher out there, you know how to break it into small pieces that are digestible and you always show me something new. You're simply the best; better than all the rest... I think I hear a song there somewhere. :-)
This is the best tutorial i have ever seen for one click adjustment .. everyone is teaching about click mid tone open .. but you are awesome with Auto first and then midtone option.. great one..
THANK YOU so very much!!! For years, I have been doing this effectively BUT WRONG, spending perhaps two minutes each on color correcting my images (that's A LOT of cumulative hours wasted for a real estate photographer). Your 9-minute video here will save me countless hours in the future. No words - Just thank you, Sir.
This is by far the best PS channel I came up to. Simple and fast tricks that do wonders. I'm not working on photoshop, it's more likely that I "play" in it but still.. simple tricks to make my experience easier. Thanks.
I do now know why I haven't seen this before... but it's actually what I just found out for film negative conversion, except I did not know you could change the algorithm for the auto adjustments...I think this will improve my results by a lot! Thanks!
Thanks for always taking the time to explain what you're doing, and going through each step slowly enough so that lay people can follow along. I really appreciate your Channel and your friendly manner. Thank you!
Dude, thank you. So many other sites were "here is a quick and easy 25 step process that will work on most of your images". Also, as I had several dozen shots with the same lighting problem, I simply saved the preset so that when I loaded the next image, I could just load that preset and boom, fixed.
OMG,, your voice go straight into my brain. I do not learn from everyone out there on youtube. You are one of the very best I can learn from. Thank you so much.
Jesus, OMG! This tutorial will save me a million hours of try and misses. My jewelry is so hard to photograph and you just saved me a huge amount of time. I am so going to share your channel.
I did not know about the options. I've had mixed success with auto so don't use it much but now that I've set these defaults, I think it will help a lot. Thanks!
Wow! I never even *knew* the 'Auto Color Correct Options" existed (I feel such a yutz! 🤪) - I always used the 'old' methods you show. Thanks Jesús for pointing this out - and as usual, expertly explaining everything. You, sir. are a prince!
This is an amazing tip. Thank you. I applied it to a couple old photos I'd been fighting with for a while, and it fixed them nicely. Very nice tutorial.
I already new of these features from other videos, but, as you stated, this one goes in depth and explains what is happening behind the scenes. This provides greater level of understanding. As always, great instruction. Thanks.
You rock!!! So easy to understand, I've learn so much in 10 min! I also love that you went right into the tutorial, I didn't have to skip through pointless blah blah blah nonsense. Cant wait to check out your other videos! Thank you!
Another fantastic video tutorial. I would always do it manually because I did not like how auto results turned out. Will definitely give this a try. Thanks again!
Hi Jesus, Thanks for the great video and awesome tip. I will be using this from now on. I have been using a method of adding a solid color layer of 50% gray, then changing the blend mode to difference. Any area showing as solid black is "neutral gray". Use the eyedropper tool to pinpoint the area. The solid gray layer can now be deleted as it is longer required. Add a Curves adjustment layer. Using the gray eyedropper click the selected point and the color is corrected. Your method is much simpler and much more efficient - particularly when you have more than one image to correct. Cheers.
I totally agree with many others here.. Your tutorials are amazing because you take the time to explain what Photoshop really do "under the hood". And that helps when applying these techniques on other pictures when result at first get a little bit wanky... Knowing how to fix it helps for real. I will say it again what I said in another tutorial... Adobe have to kidnap you soon to be a teacher..... 😉👏
Thank you! I was always afraid to tweak the auto settings in Photoshop, thinking I might damage the application...It's great that we can customize things to our advantage with your guidance!
Oh wow, this is VERY much not working for me. I've tried with a few different images and it's turning my images kind of pink blue and hazy. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?
