I'm looking for that all over the internet as well. Have som pipe materials in order, but did not order the pre built slip joints. (Ticon Industries makes them, as you know) I'm getting started on titanium exhaust for my motorcycle, and it is just good practice to make the system detatchable without having to remove big barts of the bike like the engine or the rear subframe. Then slip joints are perfect. But I have never done anythinng like that before, so I have a few questions. Are they made conical to seal a little bit better?I do not aim to use graphite gasket sleeves. How to expand without leaving "shoulders" from a cheap pipe expander? Im considering machining a pice of axle with 0,5-1 degree of taper from a axle to expand the pipe. Like in the G&G for R6 video. Thank you for great videos that explain things a little more in depth, and also including the engineering behind sometimes!
Question: When you are tig welding a slip joint on an exhaust that has been swagged, do you still need to back purge the tube still since you are actually joining the two pieces on the outside of the smaller diameter?
Hey Justin awesome little trick there. Also out of curiosity is the video on how to make the pie cuts coming still? Really looking forward to what you have to share on that one.
It's actually an optical illusion from the camera. Every view angle shows a different gap, crooked direction, or spacing issue. It drove me nuts during editing.
Patrick Hoyle I either machine them myself or have them cut locally. It's a service that I'm about to offer on the website. If you're interested please email me.
Thats not a slip fit... its a collar. I was expecting how to make an actual slip fit pipe that goes over a pipe of the same diameter... you just made a spacer.
The process is called slip fitting. It was explained in the beginning of the vid that when you don't have a tool to make the swage (the actual name of the part/process), you can slip fit (another process name) a tube to fill in the gap. While there may be other terms for it, I used the most common industry terms.
Can you show how you made that one into two merge section of the exhaust in one of your videos? Thanks
I'll definitely get that in a future episode.
The Fabrication Series would also like to see the merge joint

Where can u get this work done ? I have an m235
Beat the smash out of it best quote of the week cuz this guy
this is how i step to bigger tubes lol when im to cheap to buy flared pipes and too poor for a flaring machine haha ;)
It works either way haha
Well you just made that look way too easy! Thank you for yet another awesome Tip!
It's pretty simple to do. Just take it one step at a time. Thanks for watching!
Is there a way to do a muffler delete where u can unbolt and reinstall the factory muffler, like bolt on style?

Still trying to get it done. I'm working on it.
cool trick, thanks for posting. polishing out ti before heating would be a cool vid.
I'll have that in a very near future vid
Nice clean install, it's easy to spot the tips pointing different directions.

thanks for the videos Justin, great as always
Thanks!
how do weld the last runner into the collector?
The Y/Split/Merge was welded first. Then the other tubes were welded to it.
where do you get your brand tags from?

All this talk of tip

great tip
Thanks for watching!

Congrats!
sound good what muffler did you use?
The muffler was deleted (meaning no muffler was used at all)
