    I can see that playing around with the software would be a lot of fun. You're doing a great job Thomas and I know you'll get it exactly where you want.

    Very cool stuff. You dialed in in pretty quickly, but then you are a master and we would expect no less! lol Good job and thanks for sharing this!

      You wouldn't believe how many Megasquirt videos I have watched before, during & after the installation... and I'm still not sure I'm doing things correctly. Once a dyno tune is done (won't happen for a while), I'll be able to see how masterful I really was. LOL

    Looks like you spent a lot of time thinking out the settings. Nice job Thomas

    Hey man, great video and great work! I know it might come a little late, but. you should not let the engine warm up whilst at idle. The quicker it warms up, the better the fuel evaporates and less of a cleaning agent it becomes to the oil on the bore, thus less wear on the liner. Smooth throttle and normal driving are best.
    Cheers for the great video and yes, the car does run fantastic! Better than mine stock !

      Yes... good point. For sake of the video (and not being able to watch the laptop while driving) this video was recorded in a parked position. Have you seen this video? =)

    Every time I hear that name I laugh. It sounds like a title of a porn film. Laughing aside, that display is pretty impressive. Not to mention the car is running excellent. A very scientific way to improve on the performance. Time really flies by right? I try to keep my videos short and before I know it I'm cutting out a lot of video.

      The Tuner Studio lets you design your own instrument layout... size, shape & color of gauges, this is just a default configuration. During regular driving (non tuning) I use my cellphone to view data. It's a different app that also allows you to customize the view / gauges. When MEGASQUIRT (LOL) first came out, it wasn't as easy to use and you had to build your own unit. Now, it's plug & play and the software does most of the tuning for you (when you buy the full version of the software). If you keep your videos a bit longer, you can let people fast forward if they want and you get the ad exposure from those that watch from beginning to end! =)

      That's a cool set up. I don't monetize my channel so long or short, it's all the same to me. :)

    Can you please tell me.how you have the wideband physically hooked up to the megasquirt I can't get mine to read on the software tried calibrating and all that but can't get any reading at all. Hooked up to pin 21 of the auxiliary port. Share the same.ground as the MS2 PNP. (M20b25 engine)

      I'll have to look it up... as far as I can remember, the wideband O2 comes with a controller that converts the O2 signal to a narrow band voltage, that is fed through the stock O2 wiring / engine wiring harness. It has been 4 years since I installed Megasquirt... I don't even remember which version of MS I have.

      This is the controller that is attached to my MS ECU:

    Yes we don't want to blow it up in the first year. How much hp/torq you figure it has now.

    • @EXOVCDS
      @EXOVCDS  7 років тому

      No idea... feels fast(er). I have yet to floor it. Have been driving with 1/4 to 1/2 throttle and I back off at around 5psi of boost. 168 stock HP... if I get close to 200HP this year, I'm happy.

      I have a diablo tune on my chevy and it will squawk in second and go sideways on ice.

    you don't have to explain anything to anybody (neighbors)... but yeah good video! Thanks for sharing!

    Could you share your tune, please? I am struggling with my M30 megasquirt build now and a decent tune would be great to look at and extract some information from. Otherwise, great video.

      What size injectors & turbo? My tune is not "done"... I have also not yet floored the gas pedal, I'm too chicken (I assume it is rich enough for when I do). I back off on the pedal once I hit 5 to 6 psi... my clutch is on its way out (the other reason for not flooring it).

      @0809d5 6 років тому

      It's a stock M30B35. From what I gather, the M20s and M30s are very similar and the tunes should be compatible (after changing injector sizes and other obvious differences of course). I'm mainly struggling with initial set-up, idle tuning and VR port adjustment, since my RPMs seems to be dropping to 0 randomly at low RPMs (500 - 1000 RPM). By the way, are you running closed-loop or open-loop idle?

      I'll check settings after work tonight (just starting now)... it's been a while since I tinkered with it.

      Cool, let me know if you can share your tune for me to use as sort of a +- guide. Keep up the good work.

      I'll eventually have a dyno tune & results... but don't want to rush things for now.
