Personally, no. Not yet before some balance patches. Lobbies at least allow you to kick meta slaves (double zimmers/needles) so the 3v3's are actually fun and other builds can shine through, rather than being oppressed.
That is my only complaint about AC6, if it had matchmaking from launch I would have no complaints at all about the game. I love everything about it otherwise and have been waiting since AC:FA for this game!!
dual zimmermans really are nuts, i went through basically the entire campaign with 2 zimmermans and 2 miniguns, crack em open with the shotguns and then rip into em with the miniguns, works like a charm every time (i called it the can opener lol). seeing how they are in pvp really makes me feel like they're gonna get nerfed if from ever does balance changes for this game
tbf stuff really doesnt need much tweaking. nerf zimmer impact, the stun needle direct hit and the minigun direct hit, or even buff other machineguns. The real issue is the lack of missile counterplay, but i think its too late for that

The grenade launchers and hover tank legs you unlock after chapter 4 are hilarious. Just Tanky as hell, flying around lobbing little tsar bombas on people. So much fun
Plus depending on what generator you pair them with you can just run out of energy ascending over and over to fly infinitely without ever having to land. Tfw tanks fly better than tetrapods lmao.

I don't think that's ever gonna happen. I'm surprised how well the game runsneven in 3v3, but with 10 people both the rendering and the netcode are going to be a nightmare.
By the way, the plasma rifles are just as insane in pvp as they are in pve. I made a “frog mech” build that uses reverse joints to jump in the air and shoot charged shots down at people. When they’re staggered I hit ‘em with songbirds. Very effective and makes people mad lol
Plasma rifles are even more insane with wheelchair legs since you don't have to stop to shoot and you're fast enough to outrun shotgun builds trying to chase you down.

Carla's OST kicks ass Pro tip for pvpers, don't sleep on the flamethrowers! They deal direct damage only and in pvp you crisp up people faster than with the zimmermans
this is like the optimal build for pvp (dual wield zimmermans and the laser shotguns) in my opinion if u get like jump legs fast booster and these weapons u charge the laser shotguns when ur close up to one shot like a melee weapon OP
The big build that I found that farms everything (including double shotguns) is wheelchair legs with dual nebula rifles, dual vertical plasma launchers, the VE-20B generator with max firearm specialization, and the Ayre chest that maxes Generator adjustment. You can just spam out high damage aoe that's extremely difficult to dodge and move at about 370 boost speed, fast enough that you can easily outrun any shotgun build anyone's running and stagger them by the time they get close. The only rough thing is it gets shit on by air camp missile builds, but you can just read their build in the lobby and swap for siege missiles + coral missiles to counter.
I love to bully people who run dual Zimmerman. And yeah, the meta is running towards Zimmermann. Just run a tetra with all the missiles and laugh at them
I wish they had army mode where you had to make 5 unique mechs to register as a team and no parts could be used twice and when you fight your opponent each time you lost that mech would be gone and you have to defeat all of the opponents mechs also the mech don’t heal so if his mech is at 1 life when you start wi th your next mech they are still at 1 life
Dunno if its mouse movement but the way Oro very quickly tracks his opponents, I still haven't figured it out, to quickly face the opponent after they get off screen and track them.(even hardlocked)

I haven’t used them in pvp yet (haven’t touched pvp yet, i will once i have unlocked all of the buyable stuff and completed ng++) but at least in the campaign, the laser handguns (don’t remember their name) are pretty good against most of the ACs i have fought, I literally just spam them (i don’t like their charged shot), before I found out how stupid the stun cannon was I usually used the aoe shoulder weapons (not the charge up ones), or the laser cannons if i absolutely needed it for the boss fights.
Terminal armor is clutch in pvp. I can only see it being clutch in pve if you just finished a hard area by the skin of your teeth right before a supply drop or a boss when you are out of repair kits but you know you have enough dps and impact damage to stagger the boss and go all out, finishing the job.

In general the recovery from stagger is too quick. Needs to be just slightly longer. And the effectiveness of the zim zams is just absurd lol. Probably needs .... addressed.
Personally I disagree, stagger doesn't need any buffs to be stronger when it's already the main meta and best way to do damage in pvp. If anything, I would say stagger build-up and maybe even direct hit damage need to be nerfed
A lot of even semi decent builds can get you dead or very close to dead in a single stagger. If anything stagger recovery needs to be quicker across the board.

Dual Zimmermans are good, but they do have weaknesses. The two second reload time means you can be out of luck for quite a bit in close quarters if you miss compared to things like the energy shotguns. They do great initial stagger, but if your enemy has enough stability to take that stagger then you are going to struggle to break guard just with them due to their reload time giving enough time for stagger regeneration or whatever. They work best against light enemies, yet light enemies are also the most capable of keeping distance from you if they are smart. I'll have to do more PvP myself at some point, but I really want to beat the whole game and get through NG+ and NG++ before I do much of that. Because I want to make sure I have unlocked enough weapons and have enough potential builds to really enjoy myself in PvP, and then I'll put some hours into it. A lot of weapons I saw in this video for example I don't even have yet - I could mimic your build, but I don't really like the quad shotgun build much myself.
Dual zimmermans make the main story of the game pretty much a joke, its how I S ranked bosses I had extreme difficulty with in the beginning. The reload time does NOT matter as much as you'd first think, because at close range they WILL stagger almost anything in the game if both hits land, which is very easy to make happen given the extreme projectile speed.
They only counter if the Zim user is bad, otherwise anything that isnt a super floaty fast aerial range build that's never near em. Hard loses. I can say Galting Tank is a coinflip but Dual Zim has the better chance

Meanwhile sleeping on the fact that a even a simple pulse shield parrying makes them worthless.

A basic reverse-jointed or bipedal missile build can just be rushed down by a bunch of different builds, but air tank and tetrapod missile builds are just about the only thing I've run into that can win a matchup against wheelchair builds, and the only direct counter I've figured out is reverse joint to dodge the missiles and missiles yourself to abuse the poor maneuverability.

Anything that can create distance that outranges the zimms maximum works. Laser cannons, linear rifles, missile launchers, etc. To create that distance boost speed of around 360 is ideal, the higher the better. If your build is slower than that try reverse joints to make the jump boost make up for it.
Nah, it's more like shottys like the zimmerman that rule pvp, since most other kinetic weapons, except the gatlings and pistols for stagger, are a little underwhelming. And since shottys are easy to use while also being powerful, they are the natural choice for many (including me lol)
@@AEspiralShotguns are kinda mid. The real menaces are the handheld siege missiles and the nebula plasma rifles with the VE-20B generator. Make one wheelchair loadout with the nebulas, one with the siege missiles, and between the two you can dumpster every single other build in the meta.

How does the matchmaking in this game work? I’ve sat for hours, multiple days in a row, and I’ve never found a single match in solos or team Q. Did I screw myself by playing the game to new game +5 before attempting PVP? The only thing I can think of is that it matches you with people in the same Newgame + as you, but even then I should still get at least one match. I’m just really bummed out. I don’t have Wi-Fi at my house and I was visiting someone who had Wi-Fi and I thought this would be my chance to play multiplayer, but multiplayer just doesn’t work. Does anyone have any ideas what’s going on? I’m connected to Wi-Fi and I’m connected to the games online servers 😖
They better, cause the only way to beat em is to play super faat n floaty with range or as my friend calls it "bitch-like" Especially if they dont hard lock, itll be even easier Or dual Gatling Tank and hope they arnt very good at the game. Obviously few exceptions with skill level but that's basically the gist, 1 counter and it's a single playstyle/build

The game also should implement game chat for teams when playing 3v3. It would help a lot with team work and really raise the competitive bar further.

From will definitely do updates to balance pvp. There hasnt been one game of theirs where they didnt patch and balance the pvp.
I noticed the miniguns being so strong as well. I've been abusing them on arenas. I think those guns and the shotty getting nerfed.

There are alot of gear locked behind the combat logs if you need more weapons/gear

@@SoulNinjaKenI've been farming zimmerman users with a dual nebula rifle dual vertical plasma launcher wheelchair build where I run the Ayre chest and VE-20B generator for max firearm specialization. They're extremely difficult to dodge even at mid range and you end up with about 370 boost speed, more than enough to outrun shotgun builds and stagger them by the time they get close.
@@Huuuuuuue Zimmermans are not as oppressive as everyone thinks. Yeah, naturally you're going to get dunked by a guy using zimzams if you're playing with machine guns or any assortment of bad missile weapons.
But they are far from the top build. The lack of matchmaking or ranked has everyone peddling bad information about zimmermans being "so good". Meanwhile sleeping on the fact that a even a simple pulse shield parrying makes them worthless.
@@Usersunited Tbh I think the real menace are the missile builds. A basic reverse-jointed or bipedal missile build can just be rushed down by a bunch of different builds, but air tank and tetrapod missile builds are just about the only thing I've run into that can win a matchup against wheelchair builds, and the only direct counter I've figured out is reverse joint to dodge the missiles and missiles yourself to abuse the poor maneuverability.

Missiles and lots of distance works
Anything that can create distance that outranges the zimms maximum works. Laser cannons, linear rifles, missile launchers, etc. To create that distance boost speed of around 360 is ideal, the higher the better. If your build is slower than that try reverse joints to make the jump boost make up for it.
If you stay out of range so most of the spread misses you you'll be ok.
Have you seen G9's wheelchair build? That's probably getting nerfed before the shotguns.
I doubt anything will get nerfed before those shotguns
So lightweight frames are the meta? Personally I only enjoy the heavier frames that have 18000hp minimum lol. Then again I only play pve for now.

Actually in the mech side there is variety, the lack of variety are in the weapons with shotguns rulling the show.

Nah, it's more like shottys like the zimmerman that rule pvp, since most other kinetic weapons, except the gatlings and pistols for stagger, are a little underwhelming. And since shottys are easy to use while also being powerful, they are the natural choice for many (including me lol)
@@AEspiralShotguns are kinda mid. The real menaces are the handheld siege missiles and the nebula plasma rifles with the VE-20B generator. Make one wheelchair loadout with the nebulas, one with the siege missiles, and between the two you can dumpster every single other build in the meta.

Is the PvP only 1v1 in this game? The gameplay seems perfect for pvp, hopefully they expand upon it.
There is also a 3v3 mode that functions like team death match with respawns and other such things

How does the matchmaking in this game work? I’ve sat for hours, multiple days in a row, and I’ve never found a single match in solos or team Q. Did I screw myself by playing the game to new game +5 before attempting PVP? The only thing I can think of is that it matches you with people in the same Newgame + as you, but even then I should still get at least one match. I’m just really bummed out. I don’t have Wi-Fi at my house and I was visiting someone who had Wi-Fi and I thought this would be my chance to play multiplayer, but multiplayer just doesn’t work. Does anyone have any ideas what’s going on? I’m connected to Wi-Fi and I’m connected to the games online servers 😖
