I can't help myself. If I see a kid waiting for the school bus- wheelie, a car looking at me- wheelie, any other dirt bike or motorcycle- wheelie, stray cat- wheelie 😂👍🏻
Crazy how I can’t explain BP to others, it’s like leaning back on school chair. What’s crazier is that moment when everything clicks and all makes sense 🤯 You’ll never be the same rider! My rides are now 90% on 1 wheel 🤣 much addictive
Even though I’m chasing them I’m kinda right near balance point. On my bike balance point feels super far back to the point the bike is straight 12 o clock to be at balance anything other than that I’m chasing it but I’m still get hella distance and not going into red line
I'm about 0.73° away from balance point and I always instinctively jab the rear brake when I feel the bike is a bit too high. This is all the motivation I needed to fully commit 💪🏾 An update will follow shortly (hopefully not from hospital 😂)
Back in the days.. i kept 2-3weeks full pause from riding. Hopped back. Instant perfecr B-point. Giving it a pause mentally and physically helped. Also.. are you me? Lol
Hell yeah man!! I’m waiting for my sub-cage to come in before I start trying to push the envelope. I’ve gotten comfortable with the front end snapping up. Been doing power wheelies for years but it’s time to buckle down and learn that good shit 👌🏻🔥
I feel like it's starting to click today after about 8 sessions. Your video described my process and progression so i know im on to something. Good video, ride safe💯!
It's amazing that you don't clutch-up to wheelie and not run out of gear once you get to BP. I'd clutch-up in 2nd, but would run out of gear by the time the front wheel almost get to BP.
i ride an 85 2 stroke and it’s my first bike and with small bikes with powerful motors it’s touchy when you up there what i did to get them is LOW RPM’S HIGH GEAR 3rd gear going 10mph and get it up to balance point with the clutch and practice 🤝
step by step im getting there . ive been using my rear break all the time just get used to using it . on qwads i only used to used rear . on the bike i usually use front....step by step
You can turn , you just need to add pressure to the left or right bar the same you would if both wheels were on the ground and you were hitting a corner at speed , and look in the direction you want the bike to go
Im literally so close, I can feel it. I need to learn how to feather the foot brake, because I keep panic slamming it and chopping throttle instead of keeping the throttle steady but aye I feel you when you mentioned the obsession part. Really wish I had a super moto tho, fz6 is not the most ideal bike to be learning on lmao but I need it for my commute to work.
@@bulletsRflying Winter time is harsh where I live. Usually by October all the bikes are put away for storage til about April so sadly I have to wait 5 months til I can start practicing again.
Great Job ! Must be a fantastic feeling to unlocking this thing. Do you keep the throttle steady and adjust with the brake or do you sort of do both gas and brake alternatively ?
This video is fucking awesome because I know that as soon as I get it and it clicks and I hit the point where I can go as long as I want I’m gonna be fucking doing this all over the city, not giving a fuck, just like you.. Off to the parking lot I go!
had something similar happen to me, wheelied my 100cc moped over balance point a few times, felt great until i looped. got really bad injuries and wasnt able to ride for a couple of months and haven't practiced wheelies since :/
My biggest problem wheelie on dirt bikes when I go up my foot get off the break and I try to catch myself on the ground …. I’m demotivated but ima keep going
Stay on a consistent throttle but just barely putting pressure on the rear brake that will drop the nose of the bike down a little and with your consistent throttle pressure u will keep going..... hope that helps some. When u get used to u will notice a WORLD OF DIFFERENCE
Nice bike bro ! You can turn man it’s all on your mind you have to learn the swerve first then just exaggerate the swerve if that makes sense! Also I push outside peg and pull inside grip to kinda angle the bike hope this makes sense lol I’ll have some turn videos up soon
Thanks for the video. Do you think it’s best for a beginner to learn wheelies in 1st or 2nd gear? 1st gear seems too sensitive/glitchy/short to learn in. Thanks for any advice.
I can wheelie to balance point but because i never grasped rear brake i keep it just low enough to where i can let go of throttle and bring it down and i think thats my problem. I’ve been stuck there ever since, i even learned how to turn and swerve before all that 😂
Im where you were at 4 days ago in the video. I can hold it up for a little wnd tap rear brake to bring it down but i cant save myself from looping yet
Im practicing but im disappointed cause i get paranoid when the bike almost at balance point and i feel like im stuck doing the same thing over n over again with no progression i order me a wheelie bar to help me get over that stupid fear
I've been obsessing as well and still trying to get there. I can say my wheelies are getting higher but the troubling part is keeping em up. I always bring em down with the rear brake as soon as I get up high out fear I'm gonna loop out. I really wanna get pass that and be able to hold them up for longer periods of time.
the way I learned is to press the brake lightly even before I start the wheelie and just hold it down all the time. I destroyed my brake pads in about 3 weeks of practice with this method but i got past balance point and then started to only apply brake when I need it :)
@@funserious2632 a lot of people use this method, I'm starting to do this aswel, although not holding it on, but repeatedly tapping it/ kinda dragging it.
Appreciate everybody's guidance here! Recently I just conquered my fear...and then I looped out. 😆 Now I'm not afraid to drop back anymore. I just got my bike back in commission because when I looped I broke the foot peg bracket and I had to get it welded back on. I'm ready to start practicing again.
Whats your rear brake position. Coming from a motocross back ground i run my break really high, and it feels so un natural to get to the rear break when wheelieing
Bro I feel like I’m gonna whiskey throttle! That’s My biggest fear! “I’m a beginner” if you couldn’t guess lol but yes whenever I pop front wheel up idk why rear brake totally flys out of the picture! I hate it! Gonna have to do what you did lol watch a ton of supermoto videos lol like I am now😂 Hope to to upload one day a successful wheelie or fail 😆
2:08 i left with roadrash hhaah but i learned hella like 1 time i scrapped it then lost it the other i was idling up there and leaned to far my arms are soo fucked ah worth it
my problem is not getting to balance point,i can do that fairly easily with a couple tries, the problem is i dont have enough power to keep it going, ill get it to balance point then it will come down a little i give it gas and it just falls down
So you stay in to the throttle and use the rear brake to control the wheelie? I used to just pop my bike up. Now I’m chopping the throttle to keep it up and through gears and worries one day it’s gonna bite me chopping on the throttle
Every time I ended up on my ass was from chopping the throttle. If you're not good with the break and are chopping the throttle it's only a matter of time.
I'm able to get the bike to the balance point, however, I'm still struggling to keep the wheelie at a constant speed. When I feel I'm at the balance point, I'm literally sliding of the seat and usually sitting at the very tail of the seat. The main difference I see in this video (compared to my wheelies), is that when you start dropping the front wheel a bit, only a little bit of throttle gets it back high enough, while in my experience I feel like I have to add way more throttle and then I'm picking up speed. I'm doing it on an exc 450. Any idea what I might be doing wrong?
I can't help myself. If I see a kid waiting for the school bus- wheelie, a car looking at me- wheelie, any other dirt bike or motorcycle- wheelie, stray cat- wheelie 😂👍🏻

"Stray cat, wheelie"😂😂

I can do it in a wheelchair. So I know the "click" feeling. Transferring that to the bike is another story.

Sooo, how are you doing brotha?
@@zemesquita5307 Not too shabby. How are you doing yourself?
@@afrobiker still grinding on the balance point. My brain automatically presses the brake😭
Well, better that than freaking out and taking your feet off the pegs. That's how most loops happen
How u doin now. I get to balance point and I just push the brake to hard.

500's got torque.
Go a bit slower or use 3rd and you’ll probably have more control at a lower rpm

Only when going real slow imo. Squeeze that shit with your legs and lean with upper body when past jogging speed

Upgrade your seat man
Get you a gripper seat cover from a reputable brand, will definitely help with confidence.
I wheelie when I see anybody, or anything
It's just a flex ngl
If I’m scared to fall do you think I should practice on grass or send it
Never just send it lol
You will brake your bike and yourself.
Lean to turn bro
Bro if you'll lower you rear tire pressure your bike will stay straight during the wheelie :))
Definitely helps a lot when learning
If u wanna steer use ur hips btw, not ur legs
