My first big wiring project was a 68 cj5 that would (when i bought it) start with the hazards, turn off with the headlight switch, Headlight if i remember was left turn no fuse box and a rats nest of wires and inline fuses. So i got a painless kit and started by cutting the wire bundle at the fire wall on the engine side. It was intimidating but so rewarding to have everything work correctly in the end, so i can appreciate your approach to wiring!

Dealing with the "wiring spaghetti" is always the fun part. It reminds me of us having to rewire the speaker assemblies at the RadioShack stores. About once a year the remodel guru's would think up their "idea plan" for all our store speakers. And every year I would end up at the ER because all the dust and debris would cause me a severe sinus headache.

I would not be surprised if there is some editing that takes place when Chad is working on the harnesses for all of the different vehicles that he’s done. If it were me, the entire video would be just a procession of bleeps, LOL, But with his calm demeanor, and his overflowing cup of patience, he gives me hope that I might be up to the task!! LMAO! No not me not ever I would just have to bring it to Chad and let him deal with it, just from the opening of the harness to his routing of it gives me a satisfaction of completeness that I would never acquire! Chad, you are the MAN!

what a great build! i love this truck. my 1st ride was a '60 Chev shortbed stepside. that truck had several coats of brown house paint brushed on and i ground it all off with a drill motor and wire brush. then it got painted 2-tone green with many many cans of cheap spray-bomb paint from Family Dollar. for a 17 y/o kid with zero experience and zero help working outside in the driveway, the truck wasn't pretty, but it was a huge improvement .... even my Mom liked it! lol
carry on, Chad, i'm confident that you and your troops are on the way to an awesome ride with Gonzo!

It looks so good with the new wheels and tires, and now it's going to have a new windshield and the beginning of the paint job. You are going to have one heck of a SUPER NICE, rare gem of a classic truck that is fast, handles well and looks terrific inside and out. We can't wait to see it take shape with all new wiring, gauges, stereo, lights and more.

@Chad's Fab After you guys were joking about fuel tanks I got this great idea, but you may not think so, lol. I was thinking you could fabricate (maybe with Paul's alum. skills) an aluminum fuel tank that is disguised as one of those cross-bed tool boxes. It would look just like one but under the working lids complete with latches and locks, would be: Passenger side would have the passenger mounting bolts and the fuel pump/sending unit assembly AND Driver's side would be the hidden filler neck w/driver's side mounting bolts. Also, instead of having 9 or 10 inches of air gap underneath, maybe just an inch or two so's you can clean under and not have the bed and tank rubbing. Then you could take out that baked rubber filler-neck seal and weld it up to look like it was never there. I'm sure someone could do some magic math and figure out how much it would hold. I'm thinkin' quite a bit! Please consider it as I can't be there to help you guys out, but I sure would like to. I love grizz already! And remember, sometimes the best ideas come from another brain. ;-)

And , I don’t care what anybody else says, but the color that you painted the frame where the windshield goes, to me, I TRULY-LOVE-IT!! and the DASH, Myyyyyyyyy Lord!
The DASH is the “Tour-De-Force”!! both of that together spells one word. PRICELESS!! I wouldn’t mind owning a pick up with the color of the window frame completely.
