  • A sabino is a horse with white on its legs, belly, neck, and/or face, and they are quite the fun color to paint! Breyer has teamed up with Kristen of ‪@CreativeKristenTaylor‬ to bring you this fun and informative customizing tutorial as part of the #BreyerVirtualFunDay, held on October 17th, 2020 in celebration of Breyer's 70th anniversary. Follow along as she creates a stunning sabino from start to finish!

    Kristen's recommended supplies for this activity for optimal results are as follows:
    ◘ For prepping and priming (optional, but creates a strong base for your paint):
    • Ultra-fine automotive sandpaper (approx. 320-400 grit AND 600 grit)
    • Spray primer (ex. Duplicolor Sandable)
    • Dish soap
    • Toothbrush
    ◘ For painting:
    • Titanium white and titan buff paint
    • Paintbrushes: Small square/filbert, small round, smaller liner
    • Jar with lid (for containing paint mixture)
    • Sealer (ex. Testors Dullcote)
    ◘ For safety:
    • Particle mask (for prepping)
    • Vapor mask (for priming)
    • Rubber/plastic gloves
    ◘ Optional handy supplies:
    • Pearly/metallic white paint
    • White charcoal pencil
    • Bondo Glazing and Spot Putty
    • Needle sanding files
    • Double-sided foam mounting tape (for sticking models to objects while painting)
