  • when you have a heavy history be careful with how you carry it as a tiny little wiggle can turn into a crazy uncontrolled waggle

    This is a properly secured and 100% legal load. This is how rebar of this length is regularly transported.

      I imagine it's the way they do it, but would suck to crash in the back of that truck.

    Looks good to me, the only thing I might do different is put a couple of belly wraps on it. But I've never hauled them so I might be wrong about that. One thing, if it's legal, it's good to go.

      Belly wraps....A MUST....Trucking since '79, belly wraps and belly chains kept you out of a bind, the class of drivers today, don't care or don't know

    Here’s the problem… the rear as well in several places the rebar needs a half knot wrap chain or strap to prevent load from shifting or sliding off rear trailer

    Not sketchy at all. In northern MN they haul pulp wood in tree length trailers with the tips dragging the road

    The straps should run under the rub rail just in case the trailer gets side swiped and the load ends up on the the highway or on top of someone just saying.

    • @snowowl4019

      That's a Western brand trailer, they don't have a space inbetween for straps. This is a properly secured and 100% legal load

    Due to length of overhang how is that not required to be oversized load?

    • @darknitethunder
      @darknitethunder 2 місяці тому +1

      As a Phone Poll driver now retired. You're allowed so much over hang, before it is declared an oversized load.
      The math involved starts with the length of the Trailer verse the of the length of the Load, plus Load adjustment of the Load in order to legalize the load for the Hiway Safety requirements. Sounds simple, but it isn't, until you are properly trained.
