I think this type of climbing is fucking stupid. You're using ladders and shit to get up the rock. I don't even consider this climbing. Should only have the ropes there to catch you incase you fall, not assist you every second.

My pops made 2 routes up Yosemite in the 70s.Great video for me to be able to see how it looks from first person view..I got some cool old pics and it’s amazing what a different time it was..Got pics of them hanging in hammocks smoking weed up there..I remember pops told me how much it tripped him out when he was up there and seen a frog come out of a crack and go climbing straight up like nothing..great video man and RIP to my Pops

I felt more exposure watching this video than I did climbing the Lost Arrow Tip. The climbing around the ten minute mark had me getting up and turning the lights on like I was watching a horror film.

This definitely reminds me that one of the big challenges on a big wall is managing the ropes and gear. I think I never got good at it, and that held me back.

Man I love climbing and would love to do this, but it’s very apparent, these guys are seasoned pros. They don’t even make any comments about how weird it is to be so high up for extended periods of time. Shit is just normal to them. I would be a nervous wreck sleeping that night.
Is there a video anywhere that delves into exactly how you coordinate a climb like this? How you prepare, plan, and execute the climb? I'm not a climber and I don't quite understand how you set anchors and maneuver your way up the cliffside. It all seems so chaotic, and looks like a jumbled mess of ropes. Any explanation would be appreciated. Thanks ✌️
Description says "Called down earlier to ensure no one was below", but thought i heard several people near the base voicing their surprise. Not sure how you "ensure" in that environment without comms. Says the one making fun of tethered gear. I can tell you sending urine or anything off the wall without a real plan is not chill.

The reason is because it doesn’t seem like they have comms to ground personnel to make sure that there isn’t anybody at the base of the rock. At 9:01 did tether man make his own petzl dual connect adjust vario? Looks like a different rope strand and 2 of the adjusters.

I rewatched it with my reading glasses on and realized it’s just the shadow of the porta webbing; it still gave me the willies though.
