imo, this looks much more appealing than the line of behringer clones retailing for the same price. i get that monophonic subtractive synths are appealing to a lot of people, but to me it feels like we've hit a max saturation point with that model of synthesizer. products like the microfreak, modal skulpt and even the volca modular offer so many more sonic capabilities at a similar price point. who cares if they're not analog. f*ck old people lol -signed, a future old person
@@overtonwindowshopper I'm 63 and just pre-ordered my MicroFreak. I will use it live alongside a Minibrute2s (I love the sequencer) in a low-fi house and groove set to add spice and colour in glorious polyphony. You youngsters... :-)
Haha :-D We definitely were very spoiled by the quality of the Henning Pauly ( ua-cam.com/users/EytschPi42 ) video team guys, all super cool people, and they did everything for us - pro level lights, four 4K cameras in each studio, killer mics, control rooms with live camera switching and many other features, it was unbelievably well organized and we had a tremendous time in Treppendorf, truly.
I'm so sick of the phrase "it's digital, BUT____" Ffs own it! You're helping to bring a wider sound palette into the world! Why is it that even manufacturers have to be weary of all the analog-hyping bullies? Why is it so hard to stop acknowledging tech-elitism and just be proud of offering something different? This is the same shit Korg did with their "analogue isolator" LMFAO don't worry! Your shrill digital noises will be valid because of our filter...
Buena sera, Paolo ! Just got today from Thomann my 0-Coast, another freaky beast... And a nice complement to my mostly "East coast" Doepfer/Moog/Roland/Analogue solutions/Mutable/Behringer/Korg/Dreadbox/Arturia setup... 2/3 of em coming from Treppendorf!🤗
Thanks for this one Paolo and Bryan. The TSR19 videos I've seen so far on this are really getting me interested in it. Nice sounds and the keyboard would be a welcome addition as I already have enough regular ones. Out of curiosity, is it possible to use the sequencer and keyboard seperately? For example using one with an external synth and the other with the internal sounds at the same time?
Availability? Uh... they're having some issues with that. Hopefully they get the bugs worked out of the firmware updating and MIDI implementation before I get mine in what looks like two more weeks..
im really trying to like this but it looks and sounds like a toy. Maybe i just don't get it yet. would like to hear this through some FX units, might change my mind then.
Sound great! and while I admire the originality I do think they made a bit of mistake not putting a proper key-bed on it. If they bring it out with actual keys Id buy it instantly...
Great to hang out Paolo, you're such a cool guy! Had a lot of fun doing this video (and behind the scenes too). Bryan
Likewise, Bryan! Great meeting you, enjoyed the conversation and the synth too! See you at the next event!!
Great job both guys !
SynthMania Can you play Muppet Babies Underscore Music?
A pleasure to meet you there Paolo!!! Looking forward to see you around next year again!!
The MicroFreak seems like a cool little synth! Thanks Paolo!
Marshal, thank you! Yes, killer little synth -- I'm still in Europe, going back to US on Saturday, did you move to Fla yet??
So many useful $299 synths available these days. Nice Sequencer... and a great controller for my other $299 synths.
;^)

Look like an interesting synth but came here to hear you play it Paolo!
cool bong on the shelf behind ;)
2:12 "this over here is the multimode filter" shoudn't that be 'digital oscillator'
Greta Paolo, I just noticed that your left cheek was twitching throughout the demonstration, don't normally notice you doing that.
Nice one Paolo! :)
Thank you, Dom, it was great meeting you!!!
I wonder when someone will try and self build a CMI Fairlight V running a MC68040 instead of the MC6809 and storing all patches on a hard drive.

Thank you! That's a very good question, and I don't know the answer yet... prob. the best bet is to ask maybe on Arturia forum?
sounds awesome doesnt has this cheap sound of other nowadays synths! Definately getting one.

Nice, but I like keys that I can feel, not flat ones.
Really sounds arturia. Like “out of the sweet spot” it s not for me. But seem
s like you had fun!
Love the keyboard. Wish it was analog & I'm not a fan of randomness.
It's like a 70s WASP on steroid's 🎹💗👍👍💓💓
Interesting idea!

Disappointed Paulo didn't have a go...
