This video has helped me so much in doing repairs and getting comfortable with brioche knitting. I even managed to repair a mess of 4 adjacent stitches by using your mantra. Thank you so much!
OK, So I bookmarked this video about year ago when I knit my first two color brioche hat, it was super basic but being a newbie, I still messed up a couple of times; this video was invaluable. Now I'm knitting my 4th or 5th brioche project, this time with lots of crazy increases and decreases and I *still* come back to this when I need a refresher to how to tink this hot mess back. THANK YOU!
Thank you for your clear and concise instruction. Your rhyme is perfect, and I was able to fix a mistake in brioche for the first time ever. And most importantly with confidence!
This was SO useful! I don't have any crochet hooks (though I'm going to get some now), but this was a clear enough explanation that I was able to make do with a pen, using the cap as a hook. It worked!
This actually helped me out a lot when I found some stitches down a couple rows that I accidently purled instead of knitted. Thank you for saving me ripping out my work!
Thank you so much! I was going crazy thinking there was an extra "buddy stitch" but this way was so easy and fixed my dropped stitches with no extra buddy left
Thank you so much!! I actually made some mistakes “on purpose” because I had started and frogged four times and couldn’t figure out what I was doing wrong with the last few stitches from my set up rounds. After a few rounds of getting the hang of things, your video is helping me tackle a block of four or five messed up columns. One down, slow and steady as I loop your video and fix the rest.
I didn't think it was possible to fix brioche stitch mistakes. Now I think I can do it. Thank you for this excellent tutorial. And thanks for using two solid, contrasting colors to make it even clearer.
Thank you so much for this tutorial; this kept happening to me with my brioche scarf and I kept starting over each time because I didn’t know how to fix it. It was so frustrating; I wanted to give up. This helped so much!
Thank you for this video. You just saved my sanity. I had dropped a stitch in my brioche. This is my first brioche project and I had already ripped it all out once. I couldn't bring myself to do it again.
You are BRILLIANT! You made it look so easy and doable, and I think the poem is perfect (I have a poem for kitchen, too). Thanks for sharing, I can't wait to learn more!
I just dropped a stitch (and a yo came undone in the process) when knitting my first project. And a minor heartattack as I've been told it's super hard to fix your mistakes. Luckily I do have a lifeline but didn't want to frog 8 whole rows. Yours was the first video I found, and thank you!! Easy to understand, perfect with contrasting colours (even better as my knit colour is also blue), and it will be easi to remember "over one, under two". Now I'm less afraid of mistakes!
Thank you so much Amanda!!! Skipping a stitch was always my nightmare and finally did happen to me today. I’ve come across with this video and could save my project. It’s so helpful!! It’s not a nightmare for me anymore because of you. THANKS AGAIN 🙏🏻 🌺
This is great! Thank you. And I do enjoy a good rhyme. (Interestingly, it's very similar to what I chant if I make a fisherman's knot/"magic knot": "Over one, under two, down and through"). Doing a brioche hat now, so this will come in handy! 🙂
This was so helpful. I am knitting a brioche beanie and I noticed several rows down that I had knit instead of pearled several times in a row and I was thinking about leaving them because I was so worried about dropping down to fix the stitches. This video broke the process down so well and now I can move on without worrying about the mistakes I made because they're all fixed! Thank you!
Hi. I don't know if you still check your comments on three-year-old videos, but I wanted to thank you either way. Thank YOU! Also, I am a teacher and have always used rhymes or something with a repetitive beat to help my students learn - so, I'm giving you an A+ for your excellent poetry. It is very easy to remember. Best wishes!
Aw, I am terrible at checking the comments (as you can see by the year-later reply). Thank you so much for these kind words! I did eventually read them, and you've made me smile. :)
Life changing! Thank you for making this so much less scary! I have always tinked right back multiple rows to the dropped stitch rather than attempting to pick it up, and in doing make more of a mess. This made all those loops make sense all of a sudden. Thankyou! :D
You made that super easy to understand. I was panicking during my first brioche project and you stopped that panic in less than seven minutes. Thank you so much!
Lol @ keeping the environment calm and controlled. Good advice! I am just learning brioche and I'm in a manic panic because two stitches fell off my needles.
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! You just saved me from a terrible head ache. Over one and under two. Grab the stitch and pull it through. 😊😊😊 What do you do if you get to a stitch that has no shawl and there isn’t a missed one? Can I just knit it alone? It won’t mess up the other stitches in the pattern.
Thank you so much for this video, you saved my butt!!! Also, I love the rhyme, I make rhymes for all my stitches. Great colour selections for easy viewing (y)
Best explanation I’ve come across.
Every time I do brioche, I come back to this video to fix my mistakes
Ditto!
OMG! Your rhyme was awesome!! I’m sure you’ve heard this before but I just had to tell you again. Thank you so much!
I LOVE YOUR RHYME! I was ready to despair at being able to fix my mistakes. Your video and the rhyme allowed me to finally “see it” and fix it.
This video has helped me so much in doing repairs and getting comfortable with brioche knitting. I even managed to repair a mess of 4 adjacent stitches by using your mantra. Thank you so much!
Wonderful!
Thank you so much, you helped me remove a nasty hole. Great instructions.
What a fantastic tip! I'm knitting my first brioche shawl and tore out 3 columns! Your tip of over one, under two saved the day! Thank you so much!
Thank you. I was going to just let the mistake go until I watched this. Perfect !! Now my knitting looks nice again. 😊💕

I am new to brioche and this is the clearest video for fixing mistakes! Thanks sooo much!

First time knitting brioche stitch was scary but your video helped me fixed a stitch! ❤
Thank you so much! Love that rhyme! Not only did I fix my mistake really quickly, but the rhyme really helped! No swearing! 😂
I''m really stretching my brain to understand the structure of the brioche stitch and your video brought me one step closer. Thank you so much!
Perfect! The camera work and your little rhyme is excellent... thank you so much

Perfect explanation! I memorized the rhyme now!! Thank you so much!
Thank you so much! Found this video just when I was about to rip out and start over my (almost-finished) first brioche project. SOOO helpful!!!
Wow! Your “silly” rhyme was Great. I had to go down at least 10 rows and was able to do it pretty easily using your rhyme. Thanks much!

Thank you so much! I kept starting over, and then realized I better find some help, lol, otherwise, this project might last til I'm 90 years old. 😂

You are a life saver. I was pulling my hair out. Your calm approach was just what I needed. Over one buddy, under two, pull it through...
Thankyou for a well demonstrated video. I am about to tackle dropping down in my brioche.
Thank you. I wish I had have watched this before I pulled out 12 rows stitch by stitch for the brioche jumper I am knitting. 🥴🥴❤️🌺
Life changing! Thank you for making this so much less scary! I have always tinked right back multiple rows to the dropped stitch rather than attempting to pick it up, and in doing make more of a mess. This made all those loops make sense all of a sudden. Thankyou! :D
Thank you for the great tutorial. Now I am more confident to start a brioche project. Fixed a stitch and went on. 👍
