Well Elin, you made that look easy, which is hard to do.
Looks absolutely fantastic! That job takes a lot of thinking ahead and you nailed it! Cheers... Mike
Technically, "Stapled it". :)
I've been watching you work your magic since the Spitfire. You have fantastic ideas and workmanship. Much fun to watch. Always waiting for more
Very well done ! Thank you for showing. There would have been an awful lot of trial and error if I attempted this without your video.
Very instructional as always
It came out beautiful! I'm not surprised though.
Nice work!!
Absolute mastery Elin; so well thought through and executed.
Informative video, thanks. The cards look really good!
Another nice job Elin 😊
Nice job :)
Great work
Superb, Elin
The door card screws attach a metal button clip and are concealed by color coordinated by these caps. The screws are hidden.
Nice to hear from you again 👍 very well done 🚗😊 thx
great work.
Elin, that was the most amazing thing I have seen you do to this day! Superb job.
Hi Elin, you keep on impressing me again and again. Let you know I enjoyed the video that showed so easy but is not. Thanks again and looking forward for more, bye eric from Amsterdam
Nice job Elin
That was so interesting Elin.. You are a true master craftsman ..
Elin you are truly an artist! Perhaps someday - you can make me new panels for my Nightwatch Blue 1938 Plymouth. It is the same colour as Cheftush’s 250 that he is restoring.
Well done man, great work!👌
The return of the Rusty Beauties Ragtime Band!
Nice work! Now show me how the cockpit trim on the Tr3 is mastered! That one is fun!
Oh, I am so looking forward to that!
Quality
The door pockets on the Triumphs start to look shabby after a few years of use. As a matter of fact, it is best not to use a pocket. You should see if you cannot improve the design as you mention in your video. Maybe a firmer pocket? How would a solid pocket (that is smaller than the current one) that stands around 50mm proud? Almost like a Mini. Or will that ruin the authenticity? Maybe the answer is to refresh every few years.
Another thought, the pocket is used as a door handle which is the main reason why it stretches. Maybe you can add a vinyl handle or strap as on the AC Cobras. This should stop the pocket from being stretched.
@@achmadosman9807 Well, that is why I lined the pockets with foam and headliner cloth and run the double elastic at the top. That is going to last a while. As for the changes, I don't think triumph owners would be happy with any design changes.... :)
Very nice job, as good or better than the upholstery jobs you have shown us before. Where do you get the backerboard (what you were using looked like the original) or is it slightly different to the original?
That board was in the shop for a very long time. Probably way before me :) But we normally buy masonite board and use that. If you noticed, even the original 1974 panel that I used as a sample had the board changed to a masonite one. And that explains where I got the warped one from :)
You are the panel artist :-)
I can see that I should have paid more attention when my mom was sewing quilts. Lost youth!
Looks "factory"!
Hey Elin, could you knock up a suit for my wedding, for 6 months supply of Stellas?
I actually knocked up my own suit for my prom in 1992 :) So yeah, I can do that, no problem
