    I'm glad that you made this. I'm really angry that the cause his death was never actually concluded and yet so many people believe that it was DEFINITELY suicide. At some level I feel that I shouldn't pry into Elliott's life but at this point, where it has been so largely assumed, I want the LAPD to reopen this case. Whether it was murder or suicide, this needs to be looked into.

    The fact that she was a practicing marriage and family therapist before she met him is wild

    • @jessica0321
      @jessica0321 8 місяців тому +13

      Unfortunately, it's not wild. It's common and scary. Psychopaths and narcissists love positions of power. We're used to seeing them in high-level positions in corporations (thanks to media and movies). It's been normalized in our toxic culture. But the thought that these people could have access to more vulnerable populations is too dark to address....though we need to. Jonah Hill made a movie about his therapist, praising him and his (not original) techniques. The therapist is a narcissist, and his methods are toxic. No one seemed to notice - so much so that a movie was made about him. We need to start teaching our kids to recognize predatory behavior instead of being preoccupied with politeness and submission around adults.

    My downstairs neighbour is a girl who I heard several times threaten her boyfriend with stabbing. Obviously i phoned the police, and due to her nature to use kitchen knives as weapons, she got them taken away. She's no longer with the guy either, but she's still a menace and everyone in my area tries to avoid her and her drunk, volatile antics. Maybe that's why i'm so caught up on this at the minute. Cause i'm living next to a Jennifer type of person who could and very much would stab someone if given the chance.
    My point is, people generally won't see the woman as the aggressor, even if a man tells people 'she scares me' people laugh it off. It's so easy for toxic relationships with people like Jennifer who are quick to grab a knife to end up in someone being killed. Its disgusting that this case was never handled even close to properly. It is so likely that she stabbed him, even after, taking out the knife? delaying the call? ...Horrific

    The night before all this happened, Elliott, Jennifer and a friend of theirs sat in front of me and I made them sushi. Elliott looked very sad and didnt eat much. I remember Chiba was in good spirits but Elliott Smith looked so sad. He didnt drink any alcohol and barely ate anything. . At the time, I had no idea who he was. A regular , who knew Chiba well, brought the two of them in to my sushi bar in Encino. Next morning, Im watching KTLA morning news and I see a video of the same guy that was in front of me the previous night playing the guitar and singing. Suddenly, headline reads *ELLIOTT SMITH DEAD*. Became a fan of his work after that day after curiosity made me watch Good Will Hunting. I don't know much about Jennifer Chiba, but I can tell you for sure (because I suffer from these too) that Elliott Smith was bipolar and had Borderline Personality Disorder. With BPD you are prone to self-image problems, unstable relationships, self-harm, and of course...impulsive behavior. First I should say that if you see someone a few days before they died and they "seemed happy" doesn't mean anything. Elliott might have just been polite or maybe he was manic. Second, relationships can get to extremes. Angry, frustration, guilt, hopelessness. When you are in that place, impulsive behavior is very literal. With adrenaline pumping and wanting to give up, you most certainly can impulsively stab yourself, even multiple times (I've come close with knife in hand and I've gone through with other terrible impulsive self-harm). Regarding Jennifer Chiba, she could definitely have similar mental health issues but it is very uncommon to harm others, these disorders are rarely homicidal and most always suicidal. What would you do if the person you loves stabbed themselves? With panic mode set it, not many people are going to remember or even know that they shouldn't pull the knife out. Why did it take her so long to call 911? She was probably crying over Elliott's body and terrified. Why did she leave the country and stay out of the spotlight? Because people like you and thousands more accuse her of killing him. How would you like that? She feels responsible for his death and tormented by the fact that removing the knife might have killed him. And everybody is saying "hey, you killed Elliott!". She will be forever traumatized by that day, leave this conspiracy stuff alone.

    • @alycamus
      @alycamus  4 роки тому +37

      she never felt responsible for his death, she declared to MTV 'it's not my fault'... she even said in Reyes' documentary that she was told that the wounds were fatal 'whether the knife was removed or not'. And unless you are a doctor who has had Elliott as a patient, you cannot diagnose him, and cannot say 'I can tell you for sure'. Look, I am not pushing Elliott's problems under the rug, but I sent the autopsy report to several highly qualified forensic experts and they all found his death highly suspicious. it's extremely rare to commit suicide by stabbing yourself twice through your clothes, without any hesitation marks while injuring your sternum. And it's not a conspiracy theory, I regularly talk to homicide detective KIng, who is still in charge of this OPEN case. This is one of his emails, and the proof he is taking all this very seriously: justiceforelliottsmithcom.wordpress.com/2019/01/09/an-email-from-detective-king/

What are the other presumed suicide attempts? Is taking drugs considered like a suicide attempt? I wish you and everyone else would let the man rest. It's entirely likely he offed himself. It's entirely likely he didn't. Go find a hobby. Write some songs. Do something besides spin ur wheels, please.

      Why does it bother you? It’s always commendable to be looking for the truth, told me someone, and this is what I am doing. Plus, two members of Elliott’s close family approve what I am doing so I really don’t need your approval.

      @@alycamus .... Don’t listen to the Bu//sh!t, keep doing what you’re doing. The truth is what’s important. And there are way to many unanswered questions and “convenient circumstances” to overlook the high possibility of foul play.

      @@RustinChole this one: www.amazon.com/Question-Mark-Investigation-Mysterious-Elliott/dp/1947521683 We may never know but there are a lot of reasons to be suspicious. Even the detectives are since they never closed the case. As for removing the knife, I agree, especially since wound #2 was 5-7 inch-deep. Plus she did it when Elliott was still standing, imagine how gruesome this must have been.
