Heading next month, cant wait. Hopefully the weather is great and no rain.. thanks for sharing.
Happy to help! Have fun and be safe!
Great video, thank you for your feedback! Newbie here! going camping with family in tamarisk campground next week and will be exploring anza borrego off road trails. Can’t wait! Thank you again for the coordinates!
Glad it was helpful! Have fun on your adventure.
Great Video!! love all the visuals and drone shots, absolutely stunning, can't wait to go back to Anza now.
Thank you!
Great video. But be advised, it’s illegal to fly a drone in both the Anza Borrego Desert State Park and Ocotillo Wells. Last week, the park rangers have started handing out tickets as visitors wouldn’t comply with the park rules.
Thank you for the info. My Drone software usually tells me if im flying in a No fly zone, but apparently didn't this time. Most of my flying was on BLM land, but some was on State Park Land.
@@AnchorOverland You’ll have to check on the BLM land. We were informed that a lot of it was designated as a wilderness area. If that’s the case, drones aren’t allowed there either. Makes it tough to know when you can fly or not.
@@AnchorOverland Drone geofencing doesn't deal with state rules because they are so varied. It normally simply mimics FAA guidelines, which covers Federal issues. Anza Borrego SP is a state specific regulation.
Go UP the drop-off next time! Super fun! Great video ❤
I'll give it a shot! Thanks.

Thanks for the video showing current conditions, been down several times but wondered how it is this year after the rains - just subscribed! 👍🙏
Thank you!
I really like your videos. Can you tell me how do you know you will have enough gas to make it there and back. I’m sure there is a calculation but we things happen like back tracking so on.
A lot of it comes with experience. I have a Jerry can on standby, just in case, but I haven't ever had to use it. Rule of thumb is to always fill up before leaving the payment. I always check Google for gas stations nearest to my planned trail just to ensure I have as full of a tank as possible. Also, having experience off roading, I know that my Diesel can make it roughly 350 miles on dirt.
Thanks for the vid E.J.
Are you going to Diablo Drop Off with SDJC next month?
As of right now I will be!
Okay.....cool.
My wife and I may be going also and look forward to meeting you 👍.
Is there a bypass for the Diablo drop off?.. it’s crazy and scary to think that all those atv or dirt bikes were riding so close to your tent
There's a side trail that does run off the side. It's just as steep but is not rutted out. So long as you keep the vehicle in 2Low and crawl down, you'll be just fine going down any of the options.
Is this trail a moderate trail or easier?
The trail as a whole is very easy-moderate. The drop off portion itself is Moderate-hard depending on your comfort level. There is a bypass if you are solo and not comfortable doing it.
