The police cannot do anything legally to make him talk and day after day you are nowhere closer to finding your daughter. @@robmcgowan4034 you're clearly not informed about how abuse happens at all. If I were you, I would do some serious learning before you go calling abuse victims "stupid". It's not like a guy walks up to a girl, punches her, and she says "oh yea, let's be together".
Abusers usually "mirror" their victims, treating them very well at first, being very sweet. Once they feel like their victim is attached enough to them, they very slowly start breaking down the person's self worth. A rude remark here, a sarcastic "joke" there, and a million false apologies in between. They always go back to being sweet for a short period in between. This actually causes a hormonal reaction in the brain similar to addiction. The victim then becomes "addicted" in a way to their partner. The abuser also works at isolating the victim from their family and friends so that they feel like they have no way out. There's no one they can talk to about what's happening without their confidante telling them to leave the abuser. The victim feels sorry for the abuser and doesn't want to hurt them or leave them alone. So they just don't tell people what's happening.
You don't have to be stupid to be abused. You do have to be pretty stupid though to make those kinds of comments about people you know nothing about, on a subject you know nothing about.

Excellent observation. It speaks for Gabby's character, whereas look at Brian's family. They know their son brought home Gabby's van WITHOUT HER. They gave him a car and money to allow him to hide. They waited for how many days before they reported the son was missing--Not until Gabby's family reported HER missing FIRST. This shows the personality traits insofar as speaking of "family of origin behavioral traits". How much more clear can it be Brian is guilty, and his parents are covering for him.

Two years in what seems to have been a co-dependant relationship, where fighting was getting worse, this sad ending was predictable.
It was reported that he was extremely jealous of everything she did, and it seems she was addicted to him, calling him the 'love of her life', minimizing the deterioration of their relationship and the increasing bouts of intense arguing.
The police just looked at his scratches, decided she was the batterer. When one officer said he saw him swing at her and asked him what he was doing, was he pushing her away or striking her..... it was, of course, only pushing her away. When he found out the police bought his story, were debating arresting her for domestic violence and putting her in jail he laughed, and was delighted. ONLY when he was told he couldn't talk to her until she bonded out, couldn't drive HER vehicle, that his attitude changed to "Oh, well, I love her and don't want her arrested". I bet! For a control freak or batterer the loss of control, or ability to speak to his co-dependent would be unacceptable.

I know his helpless terror , the knot in his stomach and the restlessness in his soul right now. Nothing he can do and it’s absolutely agonizing. My prayers are with this family and hope they can find some peace eventually. She lived life out loud in her short years, more than most twice her age. Hopefully the family will be able to recognize the gift she was to them and the world and feel blessed for the time they had.

I agree 100%. My daughter dated a guy I knew for two years before they dated. He presented himself as confident and responsible, 6 months in it turned out he was anything but. She came to my house one evening, sat on the couch for 30 minutes before she could even talk. It's like he was controlling her even when he wasn't there. Finally, "Mom, Tim is a horrible person" and the words started flowing. During this time he was texting, "Where are you? At your mom's? Text me a picture of you two to prove it". She stayed at my house for a week, then got a protective order against him. Remember, I had known him for two years before they dated, I thought he was an ok guy. Turns out he's a psychopath...very good at pretending to be a good guy, but a black heart inside. I look at people in a much different way and never ignore even the little red flags when dealing with people since having this experience.

When the body cam footage was released, I immediately recognized her behavior as reactive abuse. I volunteer with abuse victims. He has been tormenting her for quite some time now. His cool, calm demeanor and the way he called her crazy told me he is a narcissist and she was his supply. Narcs are very charming and charismatic and people in the victim's life usually have no idea what is going on behind closed doors. Not only do they hide it well but the victims are too ashamed and broken down to speak their truth. Everyone needs to educate themselves on what reactive abuse looks like and little red flags that can be easily missed but particularly the cops need to be educated on reactive abuse. Had they known those were the behaviors she was exhibiting, they could've encouraged her to get away from him or offered HER help. This is horrific and he is a coward for hiding. She just wanted adventures. She was only 22 years old. She was a scared, confused young woman who didn't deserve this. I hope this haunts him. I hope disgust with himself is seared into his brain.

@StrategicPrepper I mean, I kind of agree with you, or I can see where you're coming from, at least. One only needs to read up on Ryan Waller's interrogation and watch the video to see how quickly and ruthlessly the police descend upon the boyfriend/husband when a woman is killed.
Men are definitely targeted, and women get much lighter sentences.
But still, Brian and his family have already been convicted in the court of public opinion. Most families would be angry enough to speak out by now and defend their loved one. Especially if they truly believed he was "missing" and not on the run.
      Their behavior is very telling.
I'll reserve judgement for when more evidence comes out, but I can't blame people for choosing what is literally the most likely scenario here.
